Maybe if I deleted as a reboot and additional users it will solve my problems. My updates install OK but I can't run at all system restore. It creates a restoration point OK but when I try to sr back to a restore point before I get the error 0x80073AFC topic of the missing MUI file.   I tried update 15 times and it continues to fail. I also downloaded the two files separately and they still stop at Midway through the update. I also tried the advice given here. There will be nothing of these updates no matter what.

  I tried to install these 'important' updates several times with the same result - updates failed, error 800b0100 code. I downloaded and installed the KB974821 tool - tells me it installed - same problem. (I don't know if I'm supposed to do something else with KB974821 - I have to "run" or just "installed" it enough?) Instructions could certainly be clearer)

  I tried to download and install the updates manually - without success - I get various error messages, like "does not apply to your system" or "for a different hardware platform.

  I tried this with my firewall/antivirus close as well - using Trend Micro - and still no luck.
