My computer automatically deletes my recycling without permission

My computer is home made and assembled by a former friend of mine with custom components I bought Newegg, rather than buy a computer from a store
because it's MUCH CHEAPER
I'm not sure but I think it has off the trash (if possible) to work, so if I send anything in the trash, it's gone forever.
In other words there is no way I can retrieve any file that I sent to the Recycle Bin in case I deleted something by accident.
All this is happening without my permission. I'm under addition of XP Power Gaming and I do not know if this has something to do with things or if my XP is still legal. As I said, my computer was built by a FORMER friend who I'm more in touch with.
I need help badly... it's a potentially devastating problem, because I'm a musician/engineer
and losing any customer of recorded files, could get into a lot of legal trouble
Can someone help me?
Sincerely
Ray Fernandes

When you right-click the properties and RB, is the do not move files box checked or unchecked?  It must be unchecked.

Is to configure the drives... on or off?
Is to use a parameter... on or off?

Is the slider to set the maximum size on or off (can you drag it)?
If the cursor is on, what is the percentage?

Is the removal of the display... box checked or unchecked?

Maybe someday (unlikely), MS Answers forums will allow to post attachments - as screenshots (I guess you can paste them in, but it's too complicated for me compared to the forums big boy).

computer automatically starts in safe mode without prompting, a problem with your computer can prevent Windows to start normally

Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

If the system restore does not work, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

  • "You sure you want to delete the file without moving it to the Recycle Bin? In response, 'No' causes the file to be left undone.

    Separated from this thread.

I think the bug has something to do with the partitions created with TrueCrypt.

Indeed. Make the truecrypt as removable disk volume in options of fixed the problem :)

The suggestion did not work for me.

I use Windows Home Premium and Truecrypt 7.1.

When the volume is "removable", an attempt to delete causes the prompt, "do you really want to delete the file without moving to trash? In response, 'No' causes the file to be left undone.

When the volume is not removable, an attempt to delete causes, command, the prompt "you want to move the file to the Recycle Bin?  I clicked 'Yes' the file disappeared from his record, but was not visible in the trash, even if the trash appears to have contained.  By clicking on "All content, restoring" the trash, has no effect.

Basket of content used to be visible and restoration-able.  I recently opened some volumes on a drive not used for several months.  Other that that, I can't say why the trash behavior has changed recently.

    Suggestions appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Colin

I suspect it has to do with the size of the 'file '.  When a file is larger than the preset size of trash, your options are to delete without moving to the trash.  No way that you do not want to delete it without moving it to the Recycle Bin, but if she's great that recycle it bin it cannot so it just happens.  If you say yes it removes without moving to recycle.

You can change the size of your trash by right click > properties > change size

I think buying CC Adobe photographers plan paid monthly. Can you tell me if I download will automatically delete older versions of Photoshop and Lightroom I use already on my computer?

    Hi Alan,

    Not really.

But when you install the latest version of CC 2015, it allows you to uninstall your previous CC and CC 2014 versions.

But you can install previous versions.

Please see the link below to return to the CC2014 apps:

  • Modules running without permission

    There are modules on my computer (lOwprIces & roccketsAle) running on my computer without permission. I can't disable or remove these and I tried to search the Internet a way to solve this problem. Please answer; ~ ;

First of all, you need to install Malwarebytes malwarebytes.org, then download and run the bleepingcomputer.com rkill program.  Use Rkill, then type %appdata%\protector.exe in the run prompt.  Delete all the files that say lowprices or rocketsale of your appdata folders, then run Malwarebytes and delete everything that is marked as content of virus.

  • Accidentally, I deleted the Recycle Bin recently deleted, how do I get that back in the toolbar

    Hello

Accidentally, I deleted the Recycle Bin recently deleted, do you know how to get it in the toolbar?

Do you mean the "recently deleted" album in the Photos?  In the Photos on El Capitan it will automatically appear in the sidebar for you, if it contains pictures.

in the Yosemite pictures reveal-l don' t remember if the command 'Show recently deleted' is in the file menu or the menu display of Photos on Yosemite.

Is there a way to permanently remove this adware from Firefox?

Well I feel a little like a donkey, but I deleted it. After the answer of cor - el I started looking for more after trying to delete it in safe mode. Found a folder to x 86 programs named "FunkLyrics" looked around inside and saw an uninstall program. Well, I have no trust in it and used windows to remove it. Some "files in Google Chrome" was also in the file does not mean it has been installed by Chrome, but I just installed Chrome. in any case Windows removed and it shows no more in the Add-ons. Needless to say that I also removed Chrome. I decided that I really don't need. Firefox is good enough for me.

Thanks to everyone who helped me.

    • I could use some advice.
    • I use WinXP SP3.  I have a partition with the directory (folder) structure follows:
    • First level: Partition E:, My Documents.
    • Second level: directory: My Documents...
    • Third level subdirectories of files.
    • I would lilke to get rid of the second level folder named My Documents.  How can I delete this directory without deleting the directories it contains?
    • Thanks in advance.

    Good luck, Dan S

Until you try to delete the directory, move all of its subfolders to another directory.  If I understand your directory structure, which means transfer level subdirectories third to the My Documents directory in the first level. Boulder computer Maven

  • Why did Windows using stealth tactics and install updates without permission or notice?

Why did Windows using stealth tactics and install updates without permission or notice?
It becomes a regular event, it also seems to restart in the middle of the night to set up these updates. I don't know what the intention but
[Vista 32 bit] I returned this intrusion in the files to my PC and I always despise microsoft to decide to act like a pirate.  I'll give microsoft some time to answer this, but I expect to be as horrible as they are usually with the customer service.   So in a few weeks, I'll start to smear the name of microsoft as much as possible and sway anyone my possible to buy non-Microsoft products.

If you select the download updates but let me choose... option, no update will install without your approval. Suppose an update will require a reboot and does not approve the installation of an update until & unless you are ready to restart.

You can change the AU for the "updates but let me choose whether to download and install them" setting. Once you have done this, you will need to approve the updates are downloaded, the updates are installed and where they are installed.

I prefer "check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them" setting.

Windows Photo Gallery.  How can I change the settings in the Windows Photo Gallery to automatically open the image without going to the index first?

Additional information: there are 2 computers that I use on the first Gallery Photo of Windows will open the image and allow me to use the left and right buttons to scroll through the rest of the photos in the folder, that's what I want.

On the 2nd computer when I open an image it will open the Windows Photo Gallery in an index with thumbnails of the displayed record.  How can I change so that it opens the same thing as the first computer?

I did the following on both computers; Right-click on the image and select open with...--> choose the default program--> go--> Program Files, Windows Photo Gallery, but it will be open always differently on computer 2.

Both computers use Windows Vista 32-bit.

    Thanks in advance.
