my computer can answer my phone at home?

Hello

Yes, but he needs an analog modem and the software behaves like an answering machine or fax. Fax software may be available as part of Vista depending on what version of Vista you are using.

  • How can I make phone activating windows xp home

I repaired and reinstalled windows XP Home Edition on my laptop. The installation is with my original CD of windows with key no. I get message for activation before newspaper. How can I do phone activation know what phone number.

    Hi Vinod,

It is very rare that the system prevent access to such a degree that you can reach even the approved methods of activation. And a Normal relocation usually gives you the time to all features (30 days) before resorting to the reduced functionality because it has not been activated - and even reduced feature allows you to access enough to be able to activate. I don't know why you are having problems so here, but here's what's available on the activation of XP because as far as I know.

Please see the final set of instructions in the following article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307890.

The following provides additional information about the contact for the XP Activation options: http://support.microsoft.com/contactus/cu_sc_prodact_master?ws=support#tab4.

Do you know someone else with an operating system XP installed on their computers (or access to one through your place of work, a library, a kiosk of the computer, a school, a friend or neighbor or a parent, or anyone (even if by phone where you can ask them to perform the procedure on their XP system where they to get you at least the phone numbers you need) - but how you or they cross) the problem of access to enter the product key or special codes that provide people of activation instead of a product key to enter on the page where the phone number appears normally) is beyond me at the moment and you can need to get the information you need (codes and others) on their part so together you can't do and then ask for help in obtaining of XP to install correctly (as I believe that is not install properly for some reason, given the symptoms you describe).  Something is wrong (hardware, software, version of disc you are using (for example, upgrade or full install), problems with the disc, or a critical piece of the puzzle has not yet been revealed).

Although not suitable for your situation, if you try the appropriate listed here number they will probably be able to help you connect or provide you the correct for your type of activation number: http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/existing-customers/activation-centers.aspx.

If all else fails and you are in the USA, try one of the following:

    (888) 571-2048-this is a very old post

    (866) 740-1256-this is the one I get when I do

If it is in the United States, after return with your country and I'll see if I can find one that works for Vista which may or may not work for you, but they probably can help you or transfer you or give you the exact number.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

    Thank you!!

You can add the disk with Xp Pro as a slave. You may need to change the jumper settings. However, you cannot take a drive with an operating system that has been installed on another computer and start to the new computer. In 15 years of computer technology I couldn't do it only once and it was with a Vista operating system. However, Windows is designed to not allow that.

The most likely reason that you are denied access to the files on the disk with Pro is that you will need to take ownership of the files.

Yes. There is no problem with their two different versions of
Windows. The files contain not what anyone who still marks that
Windows version they were created under.

But there is a potential problem. If the files have been created with a
another version of Office that you have, you may have
Difficulty reading the. For example, Word 2007 and 2010 creates .docx
files by default (unless you tell her save as .doc) and if you
an earlier version of Word, you will not be able to open a .docx file
unless you install the compatibility pack to

  • USB ports do not work, although I can charge my phone with the computer, it wont let me view my data from the phone.

I had my computer about a month ago and it was working fine. But then, all ports usb stopped working on me. Although I can charge my phone with the computer, it doesn't let me see my data from the phone. I've tried everything.

I'm guessing that this problem came from me turning off the computer by disconnecting it instead of turn it off manually.

    Help, please.

    Hello

    1. what happens when you try to connect any USB device to the computer? You receive an error message?
    2. What problem is specific to any USB device or all devices?
    3. what troubleshooting measures have performed up to now?

Do the methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1
Try to use the phone on another computer and check if you are able to access the data. If you have the same problem on another computer then the problem is with your phone. If you are able to access the data, then perform method 2.

    Method 2
    Reinstall the USB controllers.
This method addresses the steps where the USB driver currently loaded became unstable or corrupted.
    (a) click Start, then type Device Manager in the start search box, and then click Device Manager.
    (b) expand Bus USB controllers. Right click on a device, and then click Uninstall. Repeat for each device.
    (c) once complete, restart your computer. Your USB controllers will automatically install.
