  I recently bought a new laptop with Office 2010 (including Outlook) on this subject.  My old computer has Windows Mail on it.  I need to get the emails and contacts from your old computer to the new computer.

  In these last days, I was in various forums, trying to find the answer.  While the people were helpful, there is a question that makes unusable suggested remedies.  I don't have the two programs (Windows Mail and Outlook) on both computers.  So, try to convert messages from Windows Mail to Outlook turns out to be difficult at best.

  It was suggested to load Outlook on the old computer using a trial version.  Unfortunately, the only Outlook or office trial version is for Office 365 and not 2007 I need.  Is it possible to get a copy of the trial of Outlook 2007 to work through this problem or am I just stuck with losing all my emails and contacts?

  A last resort: create folders of Windows on the desktop and drag messages from a folder of WLMail to the Windows folder. (They will always remain in the folder of WLMail). Copy them to the new PC and drag messages into folders of WLMail. You can even drag the Outlook folders, I think.
