My computer is stuck in a loop-it starts, the Welcome screen appears, I click on my name and made it appear my desktop background, but not icons. It then saves automatically power off. I started using the safe, but it's still just the power loop.

Windows XP is my operating system.  My computer is a desktop Dell Dimension 457.  I think I must have got a virus/malware.  Please help me to access my computer!

First of all, open and print this article from Microsoft - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555648

East of the fault of the only thing that I can see the information about adding the userinit.exe line - they forgot to include a comma at the end of the registry key.  So this print and add a comma with your pen to ink so that when you return as a result of this document you will not forget to register.

Now, do a search to find and download BART PE to create a BART PE Boot disk (boot from the CD-Rom drive).

Before you create the BART PE Boot disk, download and install Spybot Search and Destroy.  Then do a update to get all the updates to ensure that you have all the latest definitions for Spybot.  When you create the BART PE Boot disk - make sure you include the Spybot folder you have just downloaded and installed.

I think that if you download and install LavaSoft Ad Aware Free will take place as well. Just download, install and do the updates it as well... Be sure to include this issue as well when you create BART PE Boot disk.

Now, once you have created with these extra utilities startup disk, boot from the CD.

Change the registry as a result of the above Microsoft article.  To enter the registry once BART PE CD is loaded, click on the GO button and click RUN and type REGEDIT and press ENTER.  When the registry opens, click the HKEY_USERS.  In the menu, and then click FILE.  Then click LOAD HIVE.  Then navigate to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\Software - note: the software is the name of the hive file registry you want to open.  When it is open, be sure to give it a name that MyHive will work.

Follow the rest of the Microsoft Article in the link above to change the registry values.

Once you have finished editing the registry, go back and click on the name of MyHive, then click file and unload the hive before leaving.

Once this is done, then go to the command prompt, navigate to the executables to run Spybot, let it find and delete everything it can.  Then, if it will run - run the executable file for AD - AWARE Free Edition.  Let find and delete what it can.  I don't remember whether or not AD-AWARE will run on boot CD.  I know that Spybot is going.

I suggest you to start in safe mode with support for network at this point.  I had good luck with my problems in this way.
I hope that it will arrive where you can connect at LEAST.  Once in safe mode with network support I would then suggest to go to www.microsoft.com/protect and going to the PC or the PC security, regardless of the title/link is.  Then perform a free scan with Microsoft One Care Live.

ON CHANGE:

Oh... also, in the Microsoft article, there may be the drive letter as the X: drive... won't talk down and belittle everyone and their intelligence... I know that some people can be so literal and making a mistake in following the instructions is not an indicator of intelligence... but the X: should be C: or what is the letter of your boot drive... I know that for most, if not all here is a given but would not be a mistake bonehead by someone...

Thank you... and it will be useful...

If the problem is related to a corrupted catalog, try to open the organizer with a new empty catalog.

Hold down the SHIFT key at the launch of the Organizer. You get a dialog box with the choice to start with a new catalog, or start with a different catalog and even to 'fix' the current catalog. If your organizer starts with an empty catalog, use the option 'fix' on your corrupt catalog.

  • Computer is stuck on "Microsoft Corporation" logo with the on-screen scroll bar, a green.

    Hello

I had difficulties to get my computer past the "Microsoft Corporation" logo with the on-screen scroll bar, a green one.

I searched the forum and found others who have had this problem. I tried some of their proposals, but eventually Windows does not run on my PC.

It seemed a moment have solved the problem, but my AVG security had been removed. When I arrived the AVG security working properly my computer starts a few times more, but now I'm right back where I started.

Is it possible for me to turn this thing on, but not in Mode 'Safe '? I am sick and tired of trying to connect, or try to understand this problem.

I wish I could just take my computer to where I bought it and get my money back. Unfortunately, the warranty period is exhausted on my PC, so I'm stuck with it.

I use Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit, I don't know if that makes a difference?

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

If the system or Mode restore safe work not and you do not have a Microsoft Vista DVD, make a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

  • InDesign crashes after the Welcome screen appears

My InDesign CC had an update yesterday. Since when I run it now it crashes on the homescreen, I had turned it off before somehow in the contents of the package, but the update caused, he appears again, causing the program to freeze and make me force restart the computer with the power button. There is no option to stop even appear in the preferences. This happened with Photoshop and Illustrator before too. I have a screenshot of what looks like the home screen; Somehow, he goes all blurry and stained so I can't select something to say "don't show this again". I can not find any topic on this solution as it kept coming up with Photoshop. I use an iMac 20 inch Late 2006 OS X Lion (which is pretty slow!) with a 2 GB SDRAM. Tried contacting Adobe via chat but they do not have anyone to help me. Here is the image:

    Screen Shot 2015-02-13 at 11.56.48.png

I now have this sort, Adobe rang back me and helped me via remote access. They have deleted a file in the contents of the package (I thought to do this, but didn't know where to go or what to remove, think it was called "What's New" or something) and it works fine now. They told me NOT to update InDesign for a while until they know it will work ok once, do not want the same thing happens everywhere!

Happened the first time when I got so InDesign CC, which was strange, but the update does happen!

My computer is stuck in a loop of update... I've seen people ask about the same problem and followed the advice that has been given to them, but it did not work for me. It is stuck in safe mode and it wont let me do a cover on it, or do the Offline command prompts. I'm not very good at such things and I'm getting very frustrated. Please can someone help?

    Hello

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         Are you able to boot to the desktop?

    ·         What exactly do you mean by "blocked in safe mode. ?

    ·         Do you get any error messages when you try to run a recovery?

    ·         You can perform a restore of the system to safe mode?

You can disconnect all external devices attached such as printer, etc. and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1

Follow the steps in troubleshooting article KB 949358 and check if that helps.
