My computer keeps in sleep hibernation even if hybrid sleep is turned off

I SLEEP my computer at night before going to bed and when I turn it on in the morning go to Hibernate.  I don't want to do that, I just keep it asleep.  I disabled the hybrid sleep in the advanced power settings.

I am running windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, I have a motherboard Asus P8Z68-V/GEN3.

Any ideas why this happens?

Thank you
John

I seem to have solved the problem of my passage to a different graphics card.  I don't understand how this has been the cause of the problem I described, but it seems to have disappeared now.

  • Sleep is turned off computer

When I put a laptop with Vista Ultimate that is plugged into an outlet in mode sleep, after a short moment the computer turns off and when I come back to use the computer I have to restart the computer. I checked the Advanced section of the power, but it seems that the only option it gives is the amount of time that the computer has been turned on before going to sleep. How can I keep the on, but in mode 'sleep' when I'm not using it rather than turn the computer off.

    Hello

To use FILES MyEventViewer - event logs clear ALL - then let the computer sleep when you
can - it should be easier to see the events that are close to the sleep issue/restart. Then
Display pertinent information for a few of those who, like what's in the lower pane of the utility
When you click the event in the upper pane. You can also use the Options - Advanced
Filter to refine the events when the sleep problem arises.

Also check with BlueScreenView for these time periods to see if there are any BSOD Info
(just because you don't see it does not mean that they do not occur).

  • Microsoft ON essential to keep all the time automatically, when the PC is turned OFF? I don't know to do.

    Dear Sir/Mam...

I installed Microsoft essential to protect my notebook of virus & spy ware. When I turn off my laptop sound off automatically. Please send me the details to keep essential Microsoft on all the time, even my laptop is OFF please. Icon for turn on essential Microsoft whenever I start my computer. I can't find the related parameters in the ICONS.

Once a computer is turned off, it's... Well well, off the coast.  But not just asleep, off.  By the definition of 'off' it does nothing.  Microsoft Security Essentials is a program and only works when the computer is turned on, as all of your other programs.  You cannot run a program when the computer is turned off.  The good news is that a computer is turned off is completely protected against malware are malicious software programs and does not work either.  There is absolutely no need to have anything by protecting your computer when it is turned off.  That said, I think that your concern doesn't really MSE all the time, but that's automatically done already when you turn on your laptop.  Not to worry.

You see the pop-up warning that MSE has not yet started Microsoft.  If you click on the Start button in the pop - up notification MSE should start (but not immediately).  It may take a minute or two.  If you wait just MSE must start with itself and the notice will go away without having to do anything.

I see the same thing when I run one of my virtual machines that you see when you start your laptop.  I'm very familiar with it.  It goes away in a few minutes and only means that from MSE wasn't the first thing the computer did when I turned on.  Windows moves to finally start MSE, but you can the long hurry up if you want.

To manually start Microsoft Security Essentials, find its icon on the lower right side of your taskbar (called the "notification area").  The icon looks like a Red House with an X on it.  Right-click on the icon and choose open on the pop up list.  The MSE window opens on the desktop.  Click on "Start it now" button in the window that appears.  The window fades.  It may take a little time to start the MSE.  When everything is OK, home in the notification area icon will turn green with a check mark.

When I see the Red House, I usually just give the computer a few minutes to complete marketing and the problem goes away on its own.  On rare occasions I start MSE myself.

  • When I put my Vista laptop to sleep (or hybrid sleep), it turns off the hard disk completely?

The reason why I ask, is that if the hard drive is completely off then I'd feel sure put my laptop in its case and then walk with it (possibility of jerking around as if he were completely off), but if the hard disk is still spinning and then I don't want to treat it as if the computer is running.

essentially, this question is not whether my information is stored in memory or on the hard drive, what power I am saving, etc..  I just want to know, standby or hybrid sleep in windows vista on a portable computer, the hard drive always turns?

The hard drive (and monitor) turn off during the sleep or hibernation mode.  The only thing is that some things can take the system into "sleep" or hibernation mode (some connectios network can do if configured to do so) how the hard drive and maybe the monitor turns on.  If you pay attention to set up your power options and network options, this should not be a problem for you.  Here's a great article on the problems of Power Options and Sleep Mode so that you can check to make sure that you have none of the problems listed and can be corrected if you: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/63567-power-options-sleep-mode-problems.html.  I suggest you carefully read this article if you intend to be rude with your laptop, because you consider the closed disc.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Always send/receive texts even if my data is turned off (and I am not connected to wifi)?

I'll be getting an iPhone 6 s at the end of next month. 64 GB with 3 concert data (it's cheaper for me to upgrade and stay on the plan from my parents as it is for me to make my own plan). In terms of my parents, I already have a plan of SMS and minutes for my current phone (a cursor). The 6s be my first official smartphone. There is already a plan of texting in place, and the extra thing only reason I pay is the data plan.

But I was just wondering (and I know it's a stupid question)... can I still send/receive text messages as I would with a smartphone not (and make calls and others), even if I have my data off AND I am NOT connected to wifi?

    Yes.

SMS text messages using your cellular operator's voice communication channels.  They do not use the data.

However, if you use iMessage, who would use the data.  So keep that off.

  • The alarm will work even if my phone is turned off?

    Hello

If you set an alarm with the alarm application on your watch, it will work even if the iPhone is disconnected (even when it is out of range or turned off).

To set an alarm on your watch, go to the home screen (via a simple press on the digital Crown) and press the alarm clock app icon.

My sons laptop has problems - try to turn on and it would maintain a black screen for a few seconds and then turned off and turn and repeat until I've done a hard stop.  I am able to navigate to the top after repeated attempts.  I could take a quick and complete hard drive test and it passed... Finally, I restored to factory and spent the last 8 hours going through the update process.  It works fine and restart without problems until recently - I followed the instructions to reboot to perform an update, but he had served in the "shutting down" mode for almost an hour I did a firm hard down.  It took a few attempts so he could begin after that, and when I did I had a message on the svchost.exe and thought that might have something to with him... found a site that has a download that is supposed to fix errors and am curious if that is recommended or whether there is another solution or possible make my misfortunes.  The site is: http://www.exe-error-advisor.com/svchost-exe.  I don't know what's happening - the computer works very well when it turns - to be fair, I did also made an update of "HP Total Care Advisor" who has nothing and after I rebooted I could not make it work... "HP Advisor has stopped working"
