My Control Panel will not open

Hello

Since these days, every time I open Control Panel in my system opens, it shows immediately explore it a message that windows Explorer has stopped the work and re boot and restarts.

I tried to restore my system to an earlier date, but it's not woked.

Please suggest me a possible solution for this.

Thank you and best regards,

Somasekahr Yanick.

First of all I would like to restarts in a clean boot environment to see if the non-Microsoft programs or services are causing the problem.

Perform a clean boot to determine if background programs interfere with your game or program
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/331796

Then, I would say running a System File Check while remaining in the boot environment.

Click on the Start button and type cmd. Make a right-click cmd , inscription at the top of the list and run it as an administrator. Provide the credentials if necessary.

  1. Type sfc/scannow

This will take a few minutes. A clean update system should bring back something that looks like this:

C:\>sfc/scannow
Start scanning system.  This process will take time.
Start of the phase of verification of the scanning system.
Full check of 100%.
Windows resource protection did not find any breach of integrity.

If you still experience the stray Control Panel applets, try a System Restore to a point before that the problem started.

  • Control Panel; Does not open programs and features.

Help! Programs and features in Control Panel does not open. It's as if the file is no longer there.

    Hello

I had the same problem, caused by an update of thugs. I had to do a repair installation to fix the problem. For this,.

    1. Start your Windows computer.
    2. Insert your Windows system DVD into the DVD drive.
    3. Once there either using Windows Explorer or AutoPlay navigate Windows system disc and double-click on the file called "Setup.exe".
    4. Let Windows boot phase review and collection, when that is complete, Windows continues to install Windows 7 on your existing installation of Windows 7. If there is a problem, Windows will give you the opportunity to continue or back out (I would recommend back out).
    5. Once installation is complete, you will need to then activation key, then go to Windows Update and precede to download and install all the WU you miss.

That's all. It takes more time to make that a full install as Windows must work around your installed files. But it is the method that worked for me.

Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

    Kind regards

  • Menu mobile with accordion panel will not open when you view the phone's browser

I'm designing a sensitive site using breakpoints to 320, 768 and 1200.  I made a menu mobile with a panel of the accordion for breakpoints to 320 and 768.  Everything works fine with the reactive site on the web browser, except when I open the menu mobile on my windows phone, the Panel will not open.  When I press the menu to open it, the menu quickly opens and then closes immediately.  I was not able to understand what it takes to keep the menu open on the Tablet and phone version.  Any help would be really appreciated.

[Transferred to the specific forum - Mod]

OK first off I can confirm that the accordion on this page works on Microsoft phones (Nokia) and my iphone 3

However the site is a mess to navigate and IMO the design must be less congested to operate on a phone... tip, do not use a desktop computer to test your phone designs

  • CS4: Collapsed panels will not open

I failed my sense of the space of regular work and is back on a screening and noticed that reduced signs will not open when it is expanded. I don't know if this is how it used to work, but it feels just as bad.

Let's say I want to move an object to another layer. I click the icon Panel layer collapsed to open it, and then select (click) the object on the artboard and the layer panel collapses to the icon. So I need to click the icon in the Panel to open it again and now I can move the object to a different layer, but the layer panel collapses again, when I select another object.

I remember having this same problem with Flash CS4 user interface. I messed up a few settings, or is this really how the UI works in Illustrator? I would record screenspace panels collapsed and only keep open one that I need. InDesign works like that, keeping the expanded panels open until they are reduced again.

  • Icons disappear and tools/system control panels does not open.

I have vista running on my laptop (not sure what version because I can't open anything).  Yesterday my icons disappeared and I can't open anything in the control panel or the system tools.  An update installed yesterday, but I don't know what it was.  It is relatively a new laptop.  I just bought this one when my old laptop (also Vista) did the same thing.  I tried the system restore, but I can't open that either.  I'm quite proficient with computers then give me your suggestions - advanced or not.

If you cannot use the system restore, try this disk to use system restore.

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
