My cursor moves by itself

My cursor cycle quickly through the senior level menus and dialogs by itself.  The problem resolves briefly when I restart and then reappears.  Can I have a virus?  Does anyone else have this problem?  Or a solution?

Thank you!

It is not a virus.

  • TE2100: the cursor moves by itself

    Hello again,
I have a TE2100 - its about 4.5 years. Its been a good computer but recently I had problems with the cursor moving on the screen itself.
It moves in a straight line - sometimes upward, sometimes down, left or right.
When I first initialize its usually OK but soon starts to move, get faster and faster.
I have tried everything - checked for malware, changed the settings of mouse pointer to pointer (he has one of those nipple things in the keyboard, not a touch of blue).

If someone has encountered this problem or a solution. I'm new to this site - I should reinstall the drivers? They are somewhere on this site?

    Thanks for any help.

One of my friends had a similar problem with the cursor.
He jumped and moved to the screen, and it was not possible to keep it under control.
He contacted the ASP and there was a hardware malfunction.

  • Remote Desktop Connection cursor moves across

When I am connected to my desktop computer at home through Remote Desktop connection, the cursor moves around itself as I type (usually during the seizure of e-mails) and things open, close, minimize, start typing in a different place in the document that where I put the cursor, etc.  This happens only when you are connected via the desktop remotely.  Never, it happened to me on my most old laptop with Windows XP, but is constantly past now with my new laptop with Windows 7. • Portege Z30-A-191 - the cursor starts to move by itself

Hello. I have a problem with the touchpad: sometimes (but quite often) the cursor starts to move by itself in a diagonal direction. Finally he stops, moving independently, but the problem can resume later. When the problem occurs, the notebook computer becomes unusable.

I ask a technician here at my work, focus on the problem, and he said that the drivers are up to date.

Is there any solution for this?

Can you please do a little test. Remove the driver for the touchpad from the system and check its operation with "standard driver. Please send us comments.

  • HP mini 210-4000cto: Synaptics Touchpad pointer moves by itself

My Touchpad erre - moves by itself

I tested when it does. Sometimes his random

Sometimes sound when I have something to make a passing series - all in motion right hand upward on the touchpad and then stop + click on the left button - the pointer goes to the top of the screen itself. Sometimes going down then stop-click left finger that she continues down. This happens sometimes on the icons that I try to click or try to grab things or move things.

Sometimes I use two hands (fingers) together - I can touch the touchpad with the finger right hand add finger of the left hand on the left click button - depends on what the direction upwards or downwards it will continue upwards or downwards by its self.

If I use one hand to do - move to where I need, then click on, no problem

I found the most recent driver for the Touchpad to Synaptics but that did not solve the problem

    I found sp70198 HP (32-bit) Jan - 1-2015

    I installed using C:\swsetup\sp70198

He wrote "Solves a problem with the function of movement of momentum where tapping the device does not stop the movement of mouse cursor after that the mouse cursor movement is started."

Wow its much faster.  After the installation of sp70198 the computer is no longer usable - long script on the page stopped errors - I get faster use of the page and also to go to a page or one place to another.

I can be anywhere, typng as now, and the cursor moves and put my letters in some parts of the paragraph I just typed. I have a PC Dell laptop and do not use a mouse, but a touch pad on the laptop.

    Hello

Check with the manufacturer of system support, documentation in line, or forums as there
probably are shortcut keys that enable and disable the touchpad functions.

Dell - disable or enable the touchpad by using the access key

Parameters for TouchPad located in the control panel - mouse (there may be several tabs with)
Entries of TouchPad) and some have a utility that loads in the Notification area near clock on
    at the bottom right.

    ==========================================

If necessary: (make sure that you have restarted at least once, if the above did not work)

Panel - device - mouse and pointing devices Manager - Double click on the button
Cushion - the driver tab - click on Update Driver (which is may not make anything as long as MS is far behind)
drivers of certification), now RIGHT CLICK on the touchpad and UNINSTALL.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself
    (all in it). RESET

This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad
    of work.

The similar procedure on XP, Windows 7 and Vista is the same, except that we need
to clear the specific device if present.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310575

Then go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest touchpad drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

This utility also allows to control the TouchPad:

    TouchFreeze

    I hope this helps.

  • To Word on MacBook Pro photo collage, photo is not displayed, but the cursor moves to the bottom of the page. Tried rebooting already

I try to copy and paste a picture of Word on a MacBook Pro, but it does not show. The cursor moves to the right distance to the bottom of the page and by positioning the mouse on the space shows that it is there, just invisible. I tried to reboot twice.

  • The cursor moves erratically even when no mouse connected

I've had the problem for over a year now, but I never received tour to report. From time to time, my cursor moves erratic around the screen, jumping from position every few seconds. I have a MBP, but often use it plugged on a screen and mouse etc with the lid closed. The problem persists if Setup like that, even when the external mouse is disconnected, or when simply use it as a laptop. I recently wiped the hard drive and reinstalled a clean copy of Mac OS x from zero (no backup), but the problem still persists.

    Any ideas?

Looks like a hardware problem. How old is this MBP? Sometimes, when they get older, the battery may start to inflate and put pressure on the trackpad.

  • When you type in Firefox, the cursor moves to the left while everything is written backwards.

Recently, whenever I try to type so that Firefox 9.01, the cursor moves to the left while everything is written backwards. I can normally type into a word document to have done with it and cut and pasted in this message. I use Windows XP. I closed Firefox and restarted my computer twice with no success to solve this problem.

Maybe this recent thread on the issue even helps.

  • Satellite R850 - cursor moves at random while typing

I use this R850 because it was provided by the work.
I found it almost as frustrating as the HP, I got to my previous job... and it's for the same reasons!

-The cursor moves randomly, then when typing I find I type completely in the wrong place.
-It removes random pieces of my work - particularly frustrating on a web page where there is no "undo" button
-When you use functions like drag in the editor, or highlight text, the touchpad is not always cooperative.
-Some random/spaces etc. letters do not occur despite proper pressure.

Quite frankly, it takes too much time to do things and I want to throw out of a dam in a deep lake.

No liquid has been spilled on it.
Are no crumbs in the keyboard.
This seems to be a defective product as the "HP Elitebook" I got last year!

This happened to me because I accidentally touched the touchpad while typing.
In my case I could solve this annoying problem issue but the option settings: disable the touchpad while typing.

This setting should be available in Control Panel-> mouse-> avancΘs

The other option is to disable the touch pad using the function key
