My Digital AV adapter will not connect my phone to my TV. It's not my hdmi.

IT worked last night and when I tried this morning it will not only display the picture on my TV. I kkow is not hdmi because I had spare strings and tried then and still nothing.

Make sure that you have selected the right HDMI source on the TV. You have several sources and you have not selected may not that the iPhone is connected to.

    Hi Baker,

    (a) if it works well before? You get a specific error message?

    (b) don't you recall making any changes to the computer before this happened?

Connect the laptop to access the internet cable and then try to follow the steps:

Step 1: check if you are able to receive the IP (Internet protocol) address, run Ipconfig/all at the command prompt.

Click Start, run, type "cmd" (without the quotation marks), and then click OK to open a MS-DOS command line window. Type "ipconfig/all" (without the quotation marks), and then press the ENTER key.

    ·         Do you have an IP address?

    ·         You get the addressing APIPA (automatic private IP addressing)?

Ø If the line "Autoconfiguration Enabled' says 'Yes', the 'Auto-configuration IP address' is 169.254.x.y (where x.y is the unique client identifier), then the computer is using AUTOMATIC private IP addressing.

Ø If the line "Autoconfiguration Enabled' says 'No', while the computer does not currently use AUTOMATIC private IP addressing.

Note:  With APIPA, DHCP (Dynamic host configuration protocol protocol) clients can be automatically configure an IP address (Internet protocol) address and subnet mask when a DHCP server is not available.

If you cannot assign an IP address and then try step 2

Step 2: disable the DHCP (Dynamic host configuration protocol protocol) Broadcast Flag:

Run the fixit available in the link below to disable the DHCP broadcast flag

  • RALink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter will not connect to 802.11 g, windows 8

    Hi eeveryone,.

    Some can help me!

I bought a new laptop HP Pavilion g7. Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter I but my problem is that I can only connect to the network 802.11 n and I can't use wifi 802.11 g. When I try to connect wifi 802.11 g it says limited is unable to download a Web page, but should I use with this adapter Ralink 802.11 bgn Yes?

I've already updated the wireless card but did not help I have disabled all firewall and antivirus software and I have already written here manually the IP address, netmask etc... I got the software window 8.

But the funny thing is with my old laptop which has windows 7 that I can connect without any problem WiFi 802.11 g!

I would use 802.11 g, because the signal is stronger than 802.11 n. I hope I can receive the signal of network wifi 802.11 g somehow.

Thanks for your answer in advance!

maybe try to reinstall windows and check how it works without installed programs

Thank you all who responded and have tried to help me. Before posting, I tried most of the mentioned patches, including upgrading my firmware of the router. In addition, I went to Device Manager and scanned for changes and checked the properties under the Advanced tab of the Wifi link adapter. I tried the update driver and deactivation and activation of the device. None of this has worked.

Finally, I uninstalled and then reinstalled the Wifi card. It worked. I guess the driver software became corrupt and data of the register of the device had probably need re - install, this is what worked. This seems to happen when upgrading Windows operating systems prior to WIN 7 and later people lose their wifi connection. Then this problem develops.

It worked for me. I hope this works for others with the same problem.

Once again I thank you all.

    Hello

I'm not familiar with the forum. Hoping I can get any help

Last week I boght a HP ENVY 15-j040el

    Product number: E4N80EA

Since the beginning, I noticed without wire did not detect signal of 5G of my router, but I was so anxious to perform the installation to the end

Unfortunately, nothing has changed. I tried:

    -upgrade to 8.1 Windows

-upgrade to 5.0.37.0 (25.11.13) RT3290 wireless network card driver

I wonder if I should configure the parameters of the advance of the RT3290 driver

    Thanks in advance

You are the very welcome, Sergio.

I am a consumer like you and do not work for HP, if unfortunately, I do not know what model wireless cards HP installs in their notebooks.

I agree with you, however, that 5.0 GHz has been around for centuries now, and it is high time that HP installs a better dual band $10 card.

I'm sure that people would be happy to pay the extra price.

My understanding is that HP may have removed the white list of BIOS to immobilize the wireless cards are not not in manual work, so you can experiment and see if you can install a dual band card in your notebook.

No guarantee that it will work, but a year ago, I would have told you that it was impossible.

    See this thread.

  • HP Pavilion p6520y (win7) built-in wireless adapter will not detect ANY wireless network.

HP Pavilion p6520y Desktop on Windows 7 Home Premium

Error MESSAGE: "DO NOT CONNECTED - NO CONNECTION IS AVAILABLE" (from the tray icon of wireless with X red network connection).

No changes to the system, in fact, it's brand new. I just want to use my built-in 802.11n Wireless LAN Card to connect to a network including all other PCs (laptops and desktop computers) can see.

I tried a lot of things: toggle, adapter, adapter to uninstall/install, driver update (RT3090), PC restore/recovery, reset the router, change the configuration of the card (e.g., power management), all no. AVAIL.

There is a port of type mini co - ax at the back of the tower for an ANTENNA which came with the PC. However, I think that the internal card could still detect a signal from 20 ft away without antenna. Isn't it?

    PROBLEM SOLVED:

Of course, the last thing I mentioned was the cause. I have set up the office within inches of the wireless router and a signal (albeit low) was detected.

So I guess the fixing of an antenna (which should have with my PC) will improve the signal reception when the office is further away (say 20 ft, or more). already checked radio shack with no luck.

In any case, at least, I know what the problem is. Hope this helps someone in a similar scenario... See you soon...

  • Western Digital external hard will not be displayed in the Finder or disk utility

So I am certainly not the most tech-savvy person ever, but I'm not completely helpless on a computer, and I'm trying to help a friend with pulling content on an old external hard drive Western Digital (product No: WDBABW0010BSL-00;) ( http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-Passport-Portable-External/dp/B003DC8D8I).

Initially, I looked in the Finder for the hard disk appears, but nothing has ever, even after 15 minutes to be connected. After that, I went my utility application of disc to see if something has shown there, but again, no luck. I made sure that the micro-usb cable works, who he was and the hard drive itself did a light which is turn on, plus you can feel physically the disc rotates inside the hull to the touch on the case itself, so I know there is be able to get on the external hard drive.

From this point, however, I am at a loss for what to do next. I read some of the other help topics, but I have not found anything like that, but that works for me.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions and help!

Have you tried this WD drive in another Mac with the same results?

    How old is the drive?

I know that I had a problem once with a WD drive that had this type of behavior, and I could not use any utility software disc 3rd party on it to retrieve files or disk to repartition/format utility there. The drive is running but not visible anywhere on any Mac. My situation is that the drive had nothing of value to this topic, I used a top hammer so that nobody else could get something on it when I threw it in the trash.

  • Photo frame digital Gigaframe Q80 will not play video

The bundled ArcSoft Media Converter 2.5 refuses to convert all video formats, it should power (e.g., MPEG 1,2 and 4) so that the frame can be read. It merely display errors 'lost video encoder' or 'the necessary codec for video conversion for your player is not available on your PC' all video clips normally play on my PC. Can anyone help?

Google Kazaa codec pack. Theres a codecs package which should theoretically correct this. If so, he can say that it can handle different codec mpeg 1 2 and 4, theres about 5 for each one. You can have those that will allow your pc to read them, but this does not mean that the converter supports specifically the.

Honestly software conversion video is in any case no end of hassle. I have things like that with my ipod touch. I'll sometimes needs to convert a movie in 4 different formats in 4 different converters before my ipod will recognize even them.

  • My Atheros AR5007EG wireless network adapter will not work

I have an Acer Aspire One AOA150ZG5 that only comes with Windows XP directly from the factory. I recently started having trouble with XP so I switched to Windows Vista Home Premium and now my wireless card doesn't work. I tried to go to the manufacturer's Web site, but they have only taken over XP, so I installed the XP driver and used the Vista Device Manager to update and it still does not work. Please help me I spent all my money on vista so I can't afford a new wireless card.

If Acer is not taken support Vista for your model, there is nothing that can be done about it.

    Sorry about that.

You can consult the Web site of the manufacturer of the wireless adapter.

If they have no drivers Vista, same thing; nothing can be done about it.

  • C850 satellite will not connect at 5 GHz WiFi

My Satellite C850 found network 2.4 GHz Wireless and connected flawlessly. However, it is not 'see' the 5 GHz network, even if the router is in the same room and about 2 meters from the hotel. I have a problem, or in this laptop's wireless adapter will not connect to this speed? Any help appreciated, please

    Hello

I think that the reason why your portable computer does not see the 5 GHz Wlan is simply.
The wireless network card does not seem to bear the 5 GHz.
The WLAN standard 802. 11A supports 5 GHz

If the wireless network adapter supports 802.11 B / G and N or 802.11 G and N, then only 2.4 Ghz are supported.
