  I don't know if OIDDAS exists or he works at OID11g. I used only 11g OID and have never used OIDDAS (so far).   If you do a restore, current iTunes sets the iPod to use the parameter manually manage music and videos , by default.  If you want to use automatic synchronization, select the iPod in iTunes (click on its button on the device on the horizontal bar) to show its settings screen in the iTunes window.  The side left (in the sidebar), under settings, click music.  Right, parameters of music on the iPod screen.

  Check the box to Sync music.  This enables automatic synchronization.  Below, if your library complete iTunes music fits on the iPod, choose the option to synchronize the entire music library.  Click apply.
