You say 'your service', apparently, you think that you are talking

It is not the case. It is a forum for peer support. We're just all users of this

  • Just send a question to the support site that I can NOT connect on my email account after auto update of 38.3.0, cannot connect to my account to check the issue!

I just posted a question on the last update automatic 38.3.0 it is possible to log into different e-mail accounts in a profile, only the first e-mail account. My support mozilla account is linked to one of the email accounts that I can NOT connect to. Can't connect to this email account to check the issue. Your last 38.3.0 Thunderbird is useless because it is no longer possible to log in different e-mail accounts in a profile, and your support solution is useless because you need to connect to the e-mail account to check the issue.
    How to proceed?

You can change your email associated with your media profile.
I have 38.3.0 and I can access all my email accounts I suggest you try the initial tests:

    Start T-bird with disabled modules.
If it works on your module is to blame and you need to activate one by one.

Start your operating system in safe mode with active network.
If it works probably your antivirus is blocking or delaying. (Or driver).

  • The folder "inbox" for one of my email accounts where does not appear on the screen, but all of the messages are there, and I can click on each one to see...

I've seen other people having this problem too and their problem solved by using the link "file repair". I tried this also - no effect...

It seems to be a pure display problem, as all emails are there, and when I click on a specific location where a specific e-mail was supposed to appear, I can open the e-mail OK. I have no insight of what is in my Inbox. When I keep my mouse on the account of the column in the left window, a little black watch too, with all the new messages being listed.

I don't have this problem with one of my email accounts has seven. All the others work fine, and this is also several weeks until what stopped it a few days ago.

Restarting the computer does not help.

I use Ubuntu 14.04 as the operating system.

    Try this:

Select the Inbox that shows an invisible list.
Click the icon of choice of right column header and select 'Reset columns by default'.

    It worked?

How can I change the order of my 5 email accounts to my default at the top? Currently using any option to e-mail browser (Chrome Firfox IE) sends using one upstairs that is one that I never use. I specifically put by default in the settings option and figure that he took over the top NOT the default. This question never used to cultures upward, but since a recent update for Thunderbird, he chooses the top of the list only Preferred not on the list.

  • Why is customer e-mail apple suddenly not remember passwords from email accounts other than iCloud?

I have MacBook Pro 3 to all the excellent - 1 since 2009.  Suddenly the Apple Mail Client is asked for a password for each e-mail account, except for the iCloud account.

I know that the email and password is correct, because my iPhone 6 s email client continues to download and send emails from all accounts in mail without problem.  In addition, I can go directly to the e-mail page in the browser, for example, www.hotmail.com to that email account and the MacBook Pro connection directly on this page.

I tried to close all the computers down to reboot hard and using disk utility to check the disks.  I also changed all the other 3 accounts 3 times: and won't do again - too much work and does not.

I downloaded Malwarebytes for Mac directly from Malewarebytes and updated definitions and ran the program.  The results were negative.  This shit started after RAW last download security in which a group has found a security flaw in one of the types of files to Apple.  I can't help but wonder if that had anything to do with it.

Anyone had this happen; and someone has other suggestions as to what's going on please?

PS I have a time Machine that is supposed to be back up all 3 of Macbook Pro. (1 to) but I have never tried to use a backup, then it would be something new for me, if anyone thinks it's necessary.

It is quite common. Mail most likely simply lost the password and must be entered again. However, sometimes it is the Keychain Access.app.

Windows in the Menu bar select connection doctor. You will see two entries for each account - 1) reception and 2) sending SMTP.

The Red icons will tell you where the password is missing.

    • Incoming is set on the main window of account under the account information tab

    • The outgoing is set under parameter edit SMTP.

    CHANGE THE INCOMING SETTINGS

In the window account under the account information tab, enter the password.

    Click to save your password.

Check the connection doctor to see if your incoming connection now works.

    CHANGE THE SMTP SETTINGS

In the window accounts > outgoing mail SMTP server: Select this option to list edit the SMTP... of popup.

Select account from the list. (It is not uncommon to find additional SMTP servers listed. When you delete the account, E-mail does not delete smtp info. You may need to do some cleaning in the list to remove the extra cost).

    On the Advanced tab:

Apple uses by default the default ports (25 465, 587), but some servers prefer a custom port. Check to see which port they recommend. For example, Gmail like 465, 587 Outlook.com.

Check if your server requires SSL.

Username. Enter the full e-mail address for example.  [email protected]

Add password if it is empty. (If you have configured authentication two step, you will need a password specific app)

(there is no registration not required when adding password here0)

Open connection doctor to the title of the window in the menu bar.

Think you that green light now for your SMTP account?

    If you still have problems...

    Keychain problems

This to fix the repeated requests of password...

    Open Keychain Access, in Applications/Utilities

Search for your account. You might find several. Normally you have not more than two. An incoming and an outgoing.

Registration by e-mail have blue @.

    Example:

Delete all entries. The keychain is not smart and keep all the old entries when you add / modify a password.

Open Mail and enter the password of your account. Enter account account information and settings to modify SMTP Advanced tab tab

    Password should stick now.

Note: Keychain first aid no longer exists in El Capitan.

  • How can I reorder the list of my email accounts in TB 31.5.0?

How can I change the order of my email accounts in the folders pane?
In my current version (31.5.0) it is impossible to rearrange the order of my e-mail account.

If you only want to change the default account - the above is the account by default.

    Tools > accounts settings
    or
Meu icon > Options > account settings
Select the name of the account
    Click on "Actions account."
    Select "Set as default"
    Click OK

If you want to do a reorganization more then you need to use this addon:

Download addon dektop or file downloads

    In Thunderbird
    Tools > addons
    or
    menu icon > addons

Click the gear icon and select; Install the addon file
Locate the downloaded file and click Open
You may have to restart Thunderbird.

  • I closed an email account so want to delete the profile of Thunderbird, so it does not look for new emails, but I want to access old emails.

    Hello

I want to delete an old email address which is now closed from Thunderbird, but I want to keep the emails and have access to them.

I can see how to remove an email account, but where the email go and how can I access them.

I guess a solution would be to move all the emails to a folder in another account - this is the simplest option / best

You can move all the messages on the account to delete your 'Local folders' account or any other account you may have.
Notice, in the event that you move them to another account which is be a one IMAP, these messages would be uploaded to the server.

  • I HAVE 2 EMAIL ACCOUNTS, I WOULD LIKE TO REMOVE A

I HAVE 2 EMAIL THUNDERBIRD ACCOUNTS IN MY NAME AND ON BEHALF OF MY WIFE AS SHE NOW HAS IPAD
I WOULD LIKE TO NO LONGER RECEIVE HIS MAIL AND THEREFORE TO DELETE THE ACCOUNT ON MY LAPTOP

your wife has none of the emails stored on your computer?
If she has an IMAP e-mail account, no worries as emails will always be on the server.
Otherwise save e-mails before deleting the account.

    To remove an email account:
    Tools > accounts settings
or on mail account folders in the pane and select "settings".

Select the e-mail account that you want to remove
    Click on "Actions account."
    Select 'delete account '.
    Click OK

  • How can I remove / delete an email account in Thunderbird?

My account gmail is a catch all for some email accounts, so I don't need to do them individually on Thunderbird. To avoid multiple copies the same mails - how to DELETE/REMOVE/CLOSE an email account on Thunderbird?

Select the account that is unwanted in the left pane of the folder. Right click, select "settings".

The account settings pane appears, with the selected account has highlighted. At the bottom of the pane is a button labeled account Actions, which, once clicked will show an option to delete account. You can select and remove as many accounts as you want, but note that you will not be allowed to delete the default account. You must first designate a different default account.

  • How can I open a Docx to Word and edit it on my icloud email account?

I sent a document in Word doc. The person who sent me back sent an attachment to the Word Docx format. However, I can't open it. I need to open it, edit and send it to the sender. I couldn't open the document on my Ipad. But I thought that I could open in my email account on your desktop Mac icloud. I still can't open the attachment. Please explain how I can open it. Thank you!

If you do not have Microsoft Office, you can try this office suite open source. It does not claim to be able to translate all the content of DOCX, if glitches are possible. Note: this is a very large download.

    LibreOffice: http://www.libreoffice.org/discover/libreoffice/

If it didn't turn out well, or if this sounds like a huge waste of time, ask your correspondent to re - save the file using the old DOC format. This format has been stable since 2003 for more programs to be able to open the files DOCX DOC files.

  • Why is automatically emptied the trash on my email account?

My emails used to be saved in the trash and I kept for future reference. Now, they simply disappear. Is there a setting I can change to change this?

Re: my e-mails used to be saved in the trash and I kept for future reference.

"Trash" is for the items you want. "Basket" means "Rubblish' to be scrapped; throw; Remove.

They are only in the Trash because you selected the 'delete' or you move them manually.
The reason for having a 'Trash' folder is to act as a stop gap because sometimes you might delete an email by mistake and want to save.

File basket is not the place to store the items you want to keep.
Please create new folders to organize your wanted emails.
    Use "Basket" to unwanted emails.

Trash (also known as "Deleted") can be automatic out empty on if the option is selected.
Tools > account settings > server for the e-mail account settings
    or
Menu icon > Options > account settings > server for the e-mail account settings

Uncheck the box / select as appropriate: "empty the trash when leaving.
    Click OK.

If you have an Imap email account, there may be a different policy, used by the server. Some auto Recycle Bin empty periodically by default and there is nothing you can do about it. After all, Trash is for unwanted items, then after a time saving an email deleted by mistake, they clear this folder to create more space.

    Background information:
When you choose to delete an email or put it in the "basket", from your point of view varies for example: Inbox to "trash".
In reality, it is always in the Inbox as an email "marked as deled" hidden from view. So it is still too much space in the Inbox.
When you compact your Inbox folder those "marked as deleted" are removed, freeing up a space.

When you see a folder in the folders pane, it is in fact a mbox file (assuming that you Pop mail account or synchronize subscribed imap folders).

When e-mail messages are downloaded they are not stored as individual .eml files, they are stored one after the other in the order they have been downloaded in the same "file". If you do not want to put all your e-mails in one or a couple of files.
Create folders to organize messages into subsets.
Archives of old messages to free up space in regular used folders.
    See the info on archiving.
