• Question of Xoom browser with Google Docs

  Why won't the Xoom browser allow me to select and format text in documents in Google Docs (in desktop mode)? I hate the fact that it default to mobile versions.

  I've tested this on the Xoom and the iPad. The iPad can do (although initially, he had some problems, but at least it worked).

  Yes that helps a little. Just to be sure, I was clear on what I wanted to, I was wondering if it was imperative that a browser was imperative. With respect to documents, if a 3rd party app or browser allows you to manipulate your documents of * me * is unimportant as long as I can do

  In any case, this is what I've tried so far, the stock browser, firefox mobile, Dolphin and skyfire (although I normally do not trust any browser that sends data through its own server first then back out you especially if the document information is sensitive), and they are all mainly display the same behavior... However, I think the fact that there is that no actual pointing device is what is the real problem. With this in mind, I think that, however, any browser would be problematic.

  I also tried it on my iPad and have the same problem as with other browsers, as I do in the mobile Safari browser. Again, I think that the problem is not have a pointing device to see the real highlight of the text on each device.

  I'm still poking around well, but I think that the options are limited at this point Jim. That brings up another point, although several steps into play in 3rd party apps, I have not found it is HORRIBLE when using or Quickoffice or ThinkFree, D2G, when it comes to database formatting... circumspect, (at least for me) it becomes a replacement mobile phone but with a learning curve. I recognize, someone somewhere along the line has a much more intuitive solution for tablets Honeycomb based.

• Unable to save the Streaming Audio / Creative xfi extreme audio/windows 7

  Creative xfi extreme audio and Windows 7.

  I tried everything and can not record audio streaming. tried to use hearing, audacity and in the audio recording window.
  Drivers day and are tired of all the configurations.
  A post I read online said that Creative didn't activate this option.
  Any suggestions or hacks that you can think...

  You can save "what you hear" XP for sure.

  If you do not have this option in the Blender of W7 so you are right, its been disabled.

  However, there is a work around.

  You must create a virtual audio device on your PC. Google for "streaming audio" and you will find some solution, some software are free, others pay.

  Once you have chosen and installed the software, then use the virtual audio device to play the streaming audio and record its 'exit' in your Xfi.

  It is a different and more complicated using two sound devices - your audio device shipped along with your Xfi. Their implementation is not easy, but basically if you got theml work, you will need to connect a cable from the line from one to the line in the other. However, I do not recommend this at all. The software is much more simple.

• Playing Flash 7 FMS streams

  To read a (live or on-demand) FMS stream or a FLVPlayback component, or the Video class is required.

  And they require 3 ActionScript and Flash 8 or higher.

  As far as I know, Youtube, Dailymotion and Google Video stream their videos on demand for a FMS, and their players are compatible with Flash 7.

  How can they do this?  If Google, Youtube and Dailymotion, I take it that it is possible...

  I tried to create a Flash 7 application that plays a video input of the FMS, using a MediaDisplay component, but it does not work well. Sometimes it shows the video, sometimes not.

  So I don't think that youtube player use MediaDisplay...

  You need not use the FLVPlayback component.

  You can manually code your netconnection and netstream and then simply attach the netstream video to a video object (not a component... the video object).

  As for google reader... I would need to decompile the .swf to get an idea of how they have things to implement, but I think would be that they do not use prefabricated components of video.

• September 5, 2009, lose of country information

  I've been reviewing Google analytic stats for some websites one manage.

  On all sites, I noticed that on September 5 there was a break in the traffic of visitors with no country together. Then, I started looking for answers online and found that others have experienced the same problem.

  Further research of the stats showed that it reached only:

  Users with:
  -Windows XP or Vista
  -Opera, IE6 or IE7

  Other operating systems and browsers do not seem to be affected.

  So I thought I post it here to see if anyone here at Microsoft might know where the problem can be made and if its linked windows or perhaps Windows-based software.

• Rivers 11/13 with 5 GHz

  I recently spent reviewing for a stream 11/13, that can connect to the wifi 5 GHz. I failed, but I realized that I was looking for the American store, looking at the Australian store, I couldn't find a 11 stream that was able to connect at 5 ghz.   A Flash preloader has nothing what so ever to do with HTML and is never added to HTML to load files Flash. It is created under the main .swf, not a separate file.

  Flash preloader is created in the first images of the FLA Flash file. It measures the amount of data that has already been downloaded compared to the total amount of data of the entire .swf file. Once this amount 100%, it goes down the playhead to Flash the main storyline in this area of the timeline that contains the main content. So preloader can occupy the 1-5 images, once the amount of downloaded data reaches 100%, the playhead moves to frame 6 and playes the rest of the timeline.

• Google on the Xoom account login failure

  I just got my Motorola Xoom of BestBuy and I had time to add my Google account to the device.

  I had recently activate 2 factor authentication on my Google account and I thought this might be causing the problem.

  I DISABLED the 2 factor Auth and the Xoom has been able to add and synchronize my Google account.

  I'll reactivate 2 factor auth and see if she continues to work or if a Xoom means you can't do 2 factor auth on your Google account.

  I'm fine with that. 2 factor Auth was a bit new to me as it was JUST launched. I think it's a great asset to protect my Google account which contains LOTS of information about my life. I don't know that it will soon enable this capability in the Android OS.

• Screamin ' streaming on the Xoom

  Video streaming on the Xoom has been a hot topic being discussed here on the forums, with varying degrees of results. This weekend I got a video viewing on my Xoom incredible experience. As I said before here on the forum, I bought the unit of media streaming of PogoPlug about 3 weeks ago only to use with my Xoom. I was recently asked to beta-test a completely new PogoPlug applications on the device and the Xoom (made specifically for honeycomb). Loading time and continuous performance has been greatly improved and the results on the Xoom are phenomenal.

  Saturday night, I took of my daughters at McDonald's for some game time and the latest craze of the Rio film toy (they follow with those, not me). While they played in the Indoor playground, I hung on public WiFi with my Xoom. My quest this weekend? Give the beta software of PogoPlug thorough a test. The new software lets ensure you you connect remotely to the PogoPlug device and from there, you can access any shared on my LAN device (PCs, NAS, printers, etc.) and any USB drive connected to the PogoPlug device (I have a WD 2 TB my book). The new software also does now this drive available on the local network, by the way.

  If I shot to the top of the Xoom, connectivity verified via the browser (to swear to Ronald I will not abuse his hot spot) and then I ran the new customer of PogoPlug and Zoom! (on the Xoom!), I got a video play smoothly in literally 15 seconds. You heard that right, 15 seconds , and if my fingers could work faster menus, it would have been less. Wow, that smoke! I looked at several different videos, all of them just as fast as if loading was on my LAN and the right streaming to the Xoom with absolutely ZERO lag. All the videos I've seen had been batch converted to the Xoom, including content in HD (HQ1) mode. I firmly believe that the difference is the new customer that maximizes the use of honeycomb and the Tegra 2 processor. I was so excited that other parents began to look over my shoulder and the next thing I know I had two other dads amazed by the distribution functions.

  Previously, my experience has been much slower loading (about 3-4 minutes) and video who hesitate every 5-10 minutes. He was playing flawless in every respect and really shows the power of streaming video and audio remote (more access to my network storage was all also super fast). This new software is still not quite ready for prime time hours (lack of a few things in the beta), it really shows the honeycomb and functions of dissemination of the Xoom.
