  The error message on XPCOM usually occurs due to a Firefox update failure that left you with a mixture of old and update files in the Firefox program folder. This can occur where a security software held a handful of some files in the program folder prevents Firefox Firefox to replace all files. You can do a clean reinstall to ensure that all files are replaced.

  Do a clean reinstall of the current version of Firefox and remove the Firefox program folder before installing a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

  You can make a color hex "pipette" very fast easy on a Mac.

  First of all, download this:

  It adds the functionality of hexadecimal color to ColorPicker.

  Then open the Script Editor and enter the two words: choose color

  Save as an application (this creates a stand alone ColorPicker).

  Launch.

  Select the mirror of ColorPicker icon, the cursor and click anywhere to get a hexadecimal color value.

  I think that there is probably a way to make this app always float. If someone could put the AppleScript for this, I would be very happy.

  I tried the user - set the page to a new tab in everything: changing browser.newtab.url config

  I followed the suggestion of extensions to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1081409, but I have no extensions enabled. None of the other suggestions were relevant.

  41 of Firefox is no longer uses the browser.newtab.url setting in about: config because he was constantly attacked by malware. From 41 of Firefox, you need an add-on to change the new tab page.

  • Blank tab = > subject: empty

  Then tab or click this form field and you can test using Ctrl + t.

  Custom new tab

  It is easy to enter your favourite homepage address. If you check either of the boxes, the expansion will set the focus in the page as well, for example, the cursor will be in the Google search box. (See third screenshot attached). I had to leave Firefox and start it up again before new custom tab started working, but this may have been due to tests so many extensions back to back.

• Is it possible to see/work with cookies outside of the Firefox browser?

  Hello! I'm looking for more help to understand more than info on the cookies.sqlite file. I use to add/remove cookies in bulk the exceptions list when I used the cookies.txt file, however now that I am unable to use a block of text to quickly paste the names of cookies, I think trying to modify my exception list became quite tedious. I was wondering if I would be able to use another method of work and to view a list of cookies outside of the Firefox browser? Thank you in advance for your help!

  You would need a program of SQLite Manager to open the cookies.sqlite file and check its status.
  
  However exceptions are stored is no longer in the basis of cookies.sqlite, but in a single file database permissions.sqlite.

  You can try the following steps in case of problems with web pages:

  You can reload webpages and ignore the cache to refresh potentially stale or corrupt.

  • Hold down the SHIFT key and click the Reload button
  • Press 'Ctrl + F5' or 'Ctrl + Shift + R' (Windows, Linux)
  • Press 'Command + shift + R' (Mac)

  Clear the cache and delete cookies only from Web sites that cause problems.

  "Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

  'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > "Use the custom settings for history" > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

  a few addons which works perfectly with firefox android is more work. They appear on my list, but now fail to do what they should (block ads and followed). Adblock Plus and ghostery are two examples. I expressly avoid Chrome for android due to the inability to add these addons. I use firefox android specifically because I COULD use these addons. • Firefox 33.1 constantly no longer works and indicates "Not responding."

  Firefox no longer works (hang up) and reports program is "Not responding" frequently - sometimes every few minutes. Audit memory shows that this is not a problem. I don't want to reset Firefox to factory settings and lose the customization. This problem has worsened since version 31. I think it happens more often when I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking while on the Internet, but I can't prove it. Would that the comments of others who have had the same experience. • After the last update of Firefox, MOBI plugin no longer works

  After that the recent update to 29.0.1, my plugin that I used to see the MOBI ebook files no longer work. When I click on a file, it displays the window saying: "you have chosen to open the file MOBI blah blah blah. What do you do? "And when I click on open, it's that open a new tab in Firefox and then the question appears again and here again, if I click on open, it does not open the file, but opens a new tab... etc etc. By clicking the other option, save, done the same thing.
