My hard drive crashed, I have my key of win 7 but no disc how to recover the software?
Hello, my hard drive crashed and can't access my pc so I bought another one, but I don't know how I can install win7 to my new hard drive, I tried to retrieve the windows product key with software, but it did not work, what should I do?
Microsoft also does Digital River for Windows 7 downloads. Windows 10 will soon be out, and you are eligible for a free upgrade of your Windows 7 OEM license.
Know you can not install Windows 7, so the best thing for you to do is to install Windows 10 10130. It's beta software, but it is very stable. You will be able to use Windows 10 Insider 10130 as a springboard to Windows 10 RTM outside at the end of next month.
See here for instructions on downloading Windows 10 10130 x 64 .iso Insider and prepare the USB support:

Have an Acer Aspire MA52 with W8.1. How to recover the partition "Recovery."
I have perhaps destroyed the recovery partition when I used EaseUS Partition Master to split the C: partition into two partitions. Can someone please advise on how to recover the necessary recovery partitions? When I Advanced Start, I do not get an option "troubleshooting."
Thank you.
Thank you. I got to the Acer store before somehow and it seemed that the store only shipped to the Canada; that is, there was only one country that could be selected. I went through the url you gave and was able to place an order for a recovery disc. Hope that works.
Thank you.

When you have done the clean install, what Service Pack level are you up to? In other words, you have installed SP2 and SP3?
What version of IE are you using?
All your drivers are up to date?
Have you installed a firewall / anti-virus before you connect to internet software and if so, which?
Maybe you could give some information on your system so that maybe someone can help more or maybe read this:

My hard drive crashed and I need to reinstall XP PRO but my computer does not start on the CD
I went into the BIOS and changed to start from the windows xp pro disk but no matter if I put in the pro or the original disk, I get 'disk read error. CTRL Alt Del to restart. BIOS can see how much space is left on the hard drive, so it's there, and BIOS knows I want to boot from the installation disc, but it doesn't. What I am doing wrong?
Hi Jade4142.Did try you go to BIOS and set it to the default settings and put the disc in, and then restart. There are many variables to a disc is loading. It could be the Platinum cd/dvd is defective, the disc is dirty, scratched or any black disc market. It you load on the HARD drive that crashed? If so, it could be that the HARD drive is infected? If this is a new HARD disk, you must leave the disconnected HARD drive, start the computer that lights up and looking for a hard drive. In this way the motherboard works independent of the HARD drive. The motherboard doesn't have a HARD drive to boot. Once you start without a HARD disk he won't say you no HARD drive or o/s found. Stop it. Connect the HARD drive for the sake of things a NEW HARD drive. Then start the unit go to BIOS and set to boot from the cd/dvd and then save and reboot. If the disc is genuine, and it's a new HARD drive, it should load without problems. He must ensure that the cd/dvd is above the machine to choose this path.click top and press the sign on your keyboard + and you'll see it move to the top of the list. If she is not at the top is not first in line to start. Just trying to help.

Greetings to all
Vale of Mauritius
Hi Maurice Vale.
I don't have a legitimate website, including Microsoft, where you can download a legal copy of Windows XP Professional. Your question is confusing as to what exactly you are trying to accomplish. If you try to go back to the original OS that's installed with your system, it still may be possible, depending on the type of installation you performed when you upgraded, and if, before the upgrade, he had available recovery partition.
In order to further assist you, we will need more information about your system, specifications, what was made for her since you bought it first, what you're trying to do now and why it might be failing. You have the original installation CD? Did you harware changes? What is the current operating system installed and is operational?
Looking forward to more information from you.

3 years ago, I built my own computer. I tried to use Windows XP to not run in compatibility problems that occurred when installing Vista. I bought the software for Vista and exercised the downgrade option to Windows XP pro. Now, my hard drive crashed, when I get my new hard drive, I have of course to re install Windows, but I don't have a disk for XP. I must, however, a key product however. What should I do next? I don't want to install Vista if I can avoid it.

Hard drive crash, have no CD, they have a product key what do I do
My son gateway computer hard drive crashed. I'll have to buy a new hard drive. I don't have vista or bridge or other recover CD. I have the license of vista product key. I don't want to buy a new copy of vista. Gateway wants to charge us just to ask a question, since the machine is out of warranty. Ideas, suggestions? Is there an ISO somewhere? The machine was Vista Home Premium 32-bit. Thank you.
You don't need to buy a new copy of Vista; an unnecessary expense.
Follow the advice of Carey to communicate with the gateway: http://support.gateway.com/support/default.aspx
And read this:
Vista DVD:
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
Or borrow a good DVD (not Dell, HP, etc.) Vista.
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed. There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

Packed HARD drive
If my HARD drive crashes and I have to replace, can I reinstall Windows 7 on the same computer? How the product key is affected? He still believes that I am still on the old HDD?If my HARD drive crashes and I have to replace, can I reinstall Windows 7 on the same computer? How the product key is affected? Yes.
Not at all.

If you have Windows 7 with an OEM license agreement (it came pre-installed on the computer is the most likely scenario for this, but you can buy OEM copies so) or you have a license to retail (upgrade or full version) - the way your question is worded is very specific - you * can * install Windows 7 costs/clean on this same system as much as you wish. A new hard drive won't stop you activation - well that at some point, you need to activate by phone, as opposed to over the Internet.
Now - if the motherboard is replaced and it's licensed OEM and replacement was not that of the OEM that probably set up your computer... Then you have a problem.
Unless you happen to have a license of Windows 7 retail sales, so it is not related to the computer (motherboard).

original title: activation problem
-I got my product key Windows 7 enabled on my computer, then my hard drive crashed, so I had to reinstall Windows on a new hard drive. He is now not letting me turn it back on. What should I do? I don't want my computer or Microsoft thinks I use a version of Windows
It is Windows 7 Home Premium, and I my here in front of me activation code. But it is to say that it is not valid.
Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.
When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer
Click on properties
Scroll down to the Windows Activation
Click the link x days before activation.
Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.
Enter the product key
Click next
Select the Activation of the phone
Click Next when you enter your key page
Select your country
Click Next, call the number listed
Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.
Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent
They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it
Click next to complete the activation.
However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.
15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.
So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.
