  • NEED to recover files from the xp computer that does not start.

I changed startup on an old xp computer programs and now it does not start (I can accidentally put driver not run at startup). blue screen; STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF8992528, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) xp sp3 no safe mode without recovery does Center no disc. I just bought a computer to try to recover the information with win 7 but can not slave the drive to him because it is ide and the new computer is too modern. I need to save files are important on the xp computer is it possible to save them?

I met this BSOD error several times, and the following fix usually (not always) allows the hard disk to be read by the system...

-Boot your system and access the BIOS Setup
-It will vary with different systems, but try to press "F2", "F10" or "delete".
-If you need help with this step, let me know the model of the system, and I'll see what I can come up with
-In the configuration of the BIOS, looking something like "Device Boot Configuration"
-Go to the hard disk configuration and change the current option
-Here are the most common options that I can think of:
-SATA IDE, AHCI, (newer systems have more options, such as IRRT)
-If the current option is "SATA", change it to "AHCI" or "IDE".
-If the current option is 'DCIS', change it to "IDE", etc...

It's just a quick run through a possible fix, without knowing the details of your system!  If you need more detailed help, I would like to know the details of the system, and we'll see what we can do!

  • Find product key Windows 8 on a computer that does not start

I bought a laptop Lenovo, a little over a year and all of a sudden, he started a loop when I try to turn it on. The computer seems to want to start with the Lenovo logo and then I get a blue screen with an irritating "your PC has encountered a problem and needs to restart." We are only collecting the error information and then we'll restart for you. : ("message and then the computer restarts and does it again and again and and more.")

I brought my friend who is a technician and he said that I need the product key Windows 8 to create the Recovery Disk/USB. So I checked the area in which my laptop has been delivered to and there is no product key is located. Is it possible to find even if my computer does not start? I can access the configuration screen, but I can't find anywhere here either.

Any help with this would be really appreciated.

    Thank you

With Windows 8, Microsoft changed stickers that have the product key that the user must type in during the installation of the operating system of new embedded BIOS product key. The idea is that by eliminating the tile, you eliminate one of the easiest ways for nefarious users get a legitimate product key. The sticker also eliminating product key removes any concern that the vignette could get damaged while at the same time eliminating the long and irritating the process of typing in various letters and numbers in the installation of the operating system.

If the user has to reinstall the operating system on a computer with Windows 8, the installation process automatically captures key software product of the motherboard BIOS without input from the user. This means that these stickers familiar windows product key will no longer appear on Windows 8 computers.

You must use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 8, if its not functional, you should ask a Lenovo recovery media:

    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-4HWSE3

Computers laptops Lenovo include a function called the Lenovo OneKey Recovery button, which is used to boot into the recovery environment and to reinstall Windows.

If this does not work, contact technical support

  • How can I fix computer that does not start after the fan turns phase?

I have a Compaq Presario SR5510F PC, Windows Vista Home Premium, AMD Athlon x 2. Lately, my computer is even worse at the start. When my computer starts, the fan should run for a few seconds, then it should stop and lead at the start with Compaq logo screen. But lately, the startup was completely terrible for my computer. Today, most of the time when I press the button in the box of the computer, the fan turns on and it continues to turn, and nothing comes on the screen. It isn't that rarely when the fan stops running, but then the monitor displays always upwards in white and VERY rarely when the startup screen appears, then it freezes on this screen. At this rate, my computer is totally useless when it does nothing but run his fan. This means that I can not go to boot options at all and go to the "last good configuration". What can I do to fix the computer when I can't have anything with her while she is empty?

It sounds like a hardware problem, not a software problem.  If the computer rarely gets past the BIOS (material audit) stage of the startup sequence, then Windows is is not yet involved in the boot process again.  Request assistance from someone trained in the skills of troubleshooting hardware since this can become very expensive very quickly.

I suggest you to follow these steps and check if that helps:

    Method 1:
Since it works fine in safe mode, I suggest you to try to perform the clean boot to safe mode and check if it helps:

  • Laptop computer G60 does not start

I'm having some trouble starting by G60 Notebook.  The system runs Windows 7, but since it does not start I don't know if the system is a 32-bit or a 64-bit.  What seems to be the case, it's that he's trying to start and simply itself turns off.  For this, this little trick after having tried to boot Windows "normally".   I ran the diagnostic tests for memory and disk and both indicate that memory and disk are in agreement.

I now get a cannot find the BOOTMGR.  I tried to recover the BOOTMGR using the recovery partiion, but what I will meet with the first issue of the computer itself put it off before it can perform the restore.  I do not have the disks for the OS, so if it's the secret I have to order a set.

    Your help is appreciated.

    Hi @LarryN

Thank you for your request, I will do my best to help you.

I understand when you try to start Windows normally, it turns off automatically.  You were able to test the hard drive and memory and all the two passed.

Here is a link to an overheating and Auto Shutdown Troubleshooting questions that can help.

Here's another if this isn't the issue. Troubleshooting of Error Messages on a Blue Screen may occur at the start or start

You can also try booting in safe mode. Enter SafeMode (Windows 7)

    Select repair your computer.

If the problem still persists repeat the process above, but select Safe mode with command prompt and follow the instructions to open the system recovery options.

    Again choose command line

Enter the following information to the /rebuildbcd bootrec command prompt and press ENTER.

Once this completed successfully try to start Windows normally.

If you still have a question I suggest make a recovery in the factory

Performing a recovery of system HP (Windows 7)

While the recovery, there is an option to backup your personal files to avoid data loss.  If you do not already have one, now is a great time.

Restore files that have been supported to the top using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 7)

At any time you can contact HP support for assistance.

  • Computer that does not

I'm new to the forum here, so I'll do the best I can explain what happened.

In November of 2012, my husband bought me a laptop HP 2000 - b 2, 09 (Windows 8 came with it) Walmart so I can continue with my studies. He bought a replacement plan for two years and we only received it for a year because apparently the HP warranty was only good for a year. I have a protection plan from Walmart until 29 November of this year.

in any case, a few months after my husband bought the computer, Windows 8 began to slow my computer down the cause of the crash. One of our friends had a copy of Windows 7, so I noticed that there. It worked fine for almost a year until a week or two ago. My computer somehow got Trojan and Malware virus that I couldn't get rid of it no matter how hard I tried. Which slowed down my computer greatly. So bad that I can't even play on this (I'm a big fan of Sims). Recently, I tried to put Windows 7 on it again. It worked, but the only problem is, it will not connect to the internet. I need to install the drivers for it, but I need to be connected to the internet to do.

I am at a loss here. I need my computer and my husband and I do not have the money to fix it. I thought that since I still had the protection plan from Walmart that they would send me a new, but I realized that it covers only the parts for it. That probably won't work.

How can I fix it? Is it possible for me to put Windows 8 on it without buying it? I don't have the money to buy that either. My sister bought a "Windows recovery disk" for my father, a few months back. I want to borrow it, but I'm not sure he would recover Windows 8. Someone please help :/ Thank you!

    Hey Nettles419,

Is does not make any difference because it's using the serial number of your computer which is computer specific to order the recovery disks.

But here's the HP 2000-2b09WM PC page laptop control software support and the driver .

I hope this information can help, please let me know how it goes or if you need additional assistance.

Good luck and have a great day.
