  How to get deleted? If you remove them normally, they must be
  in the trash. If they are not, read point 1 below (but also pay
  Special notice to the point 2):
   
  1. "deleting" a file does not actually delete it just marks the
  available space be used. There are third-party programs that can
  sometimes recover deleted files. The problem is that the space used by
  the file is likely to be replaced very quickly, and it makes
  the unrecoverable file.
   
  So your chances of successfully recovering these files are decent if
  you try to recover immediately after their deletion and quickly
  down from there. If you use the computer since
  (for example to read this answer and write that question), your
  chances may be very weak now.

  You have posted in a forum dedicated to comments on the Microsoft Answers forum site. More likely, however, your problem is with the resolution of the screen. Right-click on the desktop and select Properties, then adjust the size of the screen. There may also be more and less buttons on the front of your monitor that control the display size.

  Did a reinstall of XP home and then put upgraded to Office 2007 (and very sorry I did).  Somewhere in the process of my outlook express window is devoid of everything except the last incoming messages.  I've been in the menus and found no option to show or does not show files (i.e. sent, drafts, trash, etc.).   While displaying the message, at the top, look for a tiny arrow pointing down, just to the right of the Red (in my photo)! and the blue down arrow. Click on the small arrow and uncheck "Reduce the Ribbon."

  I suggest you to change the size of the icons and check if the problem persists. Follow the steps mentioned below:

  a. right click on the desktop, click view , and turn off the Auto Arrange.

  b. after above step. Right click on the desktop, click view choose on the icon size you want and check if the problem persists.
