  Please help, out of nowhere on my screen - background, all icons, all graphics (including the Explorer and other programs) have become rough and pixelated and seem very low qualty even if my display is set to the highest resolution management settings and color. It's really bothering me, it's hard to read (text appears fuzzy and broken up, not smooth and sharp, icons have white or another pixelation around them and do not have the 'look of glass'.) I was wondering if one of the old games my children changed my settings somewhere but I've lived every control panel I find and have not been able to correct the problem.  Even the buttons (back, forward, refresh, etc.) in Explorer have bad pixelation.   I would also update the drivers, firmware or software for your monitor at the same time.  Also, if you have another monitor, swap them to see if the problem goes away or moves - then we can pretty much reduce the question to the screen and not the video card (and if the updated drivers do not resolve this problem, then it's a hardware problem and you can either take a workshop of computer service repair or simply a replacement of purchase screen.)

  I have a BB 8900 Curve and it works very well up until now. Some applications/icons have disappeared from my phone and I have not changed anything. So now my icon for textmessaging disappeared, as the BBmessager and the profiles icon that indicates if you want the phone to ring/quiet.

  Double-click the text tool in the palette of the icon editor, and then select the following fonts:

  Police: "small fonts".

  size: 10

  align: left

  According to the specifications of your system, hard drives on your system are disks IDE (not the SATA drives).

  Sometimes the Interface IDE mode can change from DMA mode to PIO mode and when that happens, things sudden. run very slowly, but it is easy to check and adjust if you need to.

  Here's how:

  If you are using IDE drives, use Device Manager to check the channel Transfer Mode IDE is set to something like DMA if available (depends on your hardware) and the slow PIO mode.
    
  Don't forget: PIO is the slowest, DMA is faster.

  It is easy to check and usually easy to fix and the mode would not have changed in itself, so if she changed to PIO, change it to DMA, and then understand why it changed and fix it.

• WiFi problem with iPad 4 on first generation Airport Express

  Bad problem with iPad 4 / iOS9. It seems that it is connected to the wifi (my old airport express of first-generation lists my iPad as a connected device and in settings of the iPad, the connection has the usual blue tick). BUT Internet works only for a few seconds after a reboot (hard) and there is no icon of wifi signal on the status bar (to keep for the first few seconds after the eboot). All other devices (iPhone 6 on ios8.2, iPad 2, two Macs and a PC) work fine on the airport express (first generation). Stranger still, when I go into a public café with wifi on the road, the iPad 4 connects no problem at the station, on the status bar and the internet works, I see the usual wifi antenna icon. Final oddity, it suddenly stopped working and no software / firmware updates between the two. As mentioned, soft and hard that it recharges don't help in saving a few seconds DNS cannot be a problem because all other devices work correctly.  I also tried to reset the network settings. It is esoteric.

  As a test, temporarily change the wireless network name and password on the AirPort Express.

  Make the name of... well very simple wireless network, no special characters (like an apostrophe) and no space empty. Ditto for the password.

  Can the iPad4 connect that way?

• low sound on Classic FM and BBC

  My Office CQ5304UK behaved immpecably in recent years, but only in the last two weeks has developed a problem with the sound levels.

  The sound card is an M - Audio 2496. When I play the Live BBC Radio 3 the level is down to-50 dB on 2496 meters and is of course very low playing through my Tannoy 5A monitors. It is however quite clean and noise and distortion-free.  On another W7/64 office levels are at-20 dB with peaks at-4dB.  This is also the case on another XP machine.

  Sources of YouTube read to near 0 dB and all my recordings are at the right level. If I go to the archives of the BBC sites THAT music is at the correct level. It is simply live sound that's not going to. The same problem is with Classic FM live.

  I got just this computer I have of course blame the BBC and CFM delivery system!

  The CQ is also bad from a Native Instruments KA6 interface levels.

  I am really confused!

  I managed to get rid of re installed Flash and re installed drivers of 2496, all without effect.

  The problem is resolved. It's to do with the Radio Player app on the BBC website.

  Basically, there is a small "speaker" icon Now, I flew over, left and this a dozen times right click in the last week or Yes but she either does nothing or it completely mute.

  However, a guy at the forum www.soundonsound.co.uk found that if you "sneak up" on the icon to the right it suddenly gives you a volume control! But! Only while the mouse cursor is in preeeecisely in the right place, twitch and you miss. After a little practice, I was able to adjust the level back to 100% and everything is beautiful and neggerty 20 once more!

  One of the guys at sos .co is a grad BBC ex' engineer and even he said he found the stupid and obscure funtion. Some time ago the BBC will display an icon of volume of style "ramp", but those pesky coders SHOULD keep things "better" aren't they!

  I have not seen this problem with LR Mobile on my iPad Pro (same versions as you), but I have had this with other apps mobile Adobe Photoshop Mix as sketch of Adobe. In each case, the application is started and crashed. If I used the switch app, I could see, even with pictures showing in the selector, but bringing forward crashed several times.

  However, in all cases, restart the iPad solved the problem. I have not seen elsewhere persist through a reboot.

  Sorry this isn't much help for you, but I wanted to just give it as a data point. Maybe if force you quite all open applications (drag to the top of the screen to switch app) and restart the iPad?

• Why, suddenly, my desktop icons are difficult to align because they can be moved very small distances?

  For years, my desktop icons have acted as if they have so many 'slots' to enter in on the office. But this has never been a problem. They were easier to align because they were right next to each other, or a 'slot' above/below/apart.

  Now, for some reason, I can travel distances of small icons on the desktop, as if they were scalar elements which can be minimally pushed open. Suddenly there are not more "slots", and sort of paradoxically icons are more difficult to assemble and align because I have to keep their repositioning so that they are straight. Before, they were either straight, or a whole notch offline.
