  Unless you have jailbroken your iOS devices, there are no viruses that can infect them. Sounds like PayPal tries to return the ball.

  Was it Hotmail? As you can see in your question answers automatically change outs email addresses.
  If not Hotmail (or MSN, which is the same) indicate the supplier only - the part after the @ in your email address
