  If you are not sure that you have bluetooth on your computer it usually is a small bluetooth icon that is lite-up based on the laptop in the area of the keyboard or click on the START ORB and click on control PANEL, then click on HARDWARE AND SOUND, then there should be an option or the Bluetooth icon.   A single user license for activating facilities on both machines. A license of elements allows for each platform in many cases (recently not the case from what I've seen).  If you have the disc, see if it contains the Mac installation files... If not then you should be able to install them via download as well.  I can't answer with any certainty to the last question because it depends on the previous question.  Personally, I wouldn't let an inexpensive piece of software not dictate a decision to purchase expensive equipment.

  I am running Windows 8.1 and when I go in the settings of your laptop, it has no option to activate bluetooth. It is not found under mode air etc.. It seems there being none in bluetooth devices. I went into the service and searched anything w/bluetooth. I found Bluetooth Support Services and tried to turn it on and set to automatic: no difference.

  I tried to install several drivers... Bluetooth Toshiba downloads. They seem to settle down, but no confirmation or error or something different in devices, after I install them.

  Please can someone confirm that this model should have bluetooth and if so what I can try to make it work. I tried a lot already and at this point I think it has not itself - which is different from what the specs say... or its defective. I looked at all the apps from Toshiba and they don't seem to have any mention of bluetooth on the computer either...

  I can't find a recovery partitionand can not find anywhere to begin the creation of recovery disks.

  I've defragged and cleaned files.  I did a registry clean not long ago who did nothing.

  It was originally my husbands laptop and sat on the shelf unused for 3 years.  We now use for recording and playing music only and don't want no other programs about this other than the music software and a pack of office (which we have).  I don't even think it should be connected to the internet, because I'm afraid that the updates could corrupt the old programs that we will get on it once sorted.

  I can give Microsoft license number so that they can send me XP?

  Does anyone know if I need to rethink the connection through the web?

  Any other advice?

  Contact the manufacturer of the computer.  As the OEM licensed dealer, they had to provide you with a way to restore the computer to its default settings.  You may need to pay for it now.

  General cleaning of the registry nothing if you try to fix something specific, then you usually just fixed this specific thing.  ;-)

  What edition of Windows XP?  Home, professional or Media Center?

  If you have a generic _ Windows XP edition CD corresponding to the product key on the machine sticker (there should be a given, it's a laptop) you may be able to use this generic CD with this product key (or * perhaps *- but not certainly) product key, you can remove the machine using something like Belarc Advisor.

  Best bet - call in the manufacturer.  I doubt that it is out of business, but if they are: How to replace software or hardware, packs Microsoft service to order and replace product manuals

  You buy a dongle BT USB external if you want to connect to your mobile phone with such USB BT. dongles are not expensive, only about 10-20 euros.

  Based on the HP Pavilion Desktop PC p7-1534 product specifications, this model does not support the Bluetooth from the factory. If you want to Add Bluetooth to your computer, you can buy a USB Bluetooth dongle as one of THESE.

  I do not speak for Microsoft. However, I saw many times when working with clients in your situation with regard to the reactivation of windows because of the failure of a component. They are not, however, responsible for providing you with a windows disc that should be provided by your computer manufacturer. However, if I were you, I would ask to borrow a disc of windows of a friend or a neighbour then contact Microsoft for activation, making sure to explain the circumstances surrounding the re-setup.
