My MacBook Pro will run a second monitor smoothly?

Hey,.

So I think to make a 23-inch screen that I connect my Macbook to (either through HDMI or DVI) and to use this form as my main screen, and I'll probably use my Macbook in clamshell (lid closed) mode. Wondering if my Mac will run smoothly. And how about using 2 external monitors while my Mac is closed, how will this work?

Data sheet:

13-inch Macbook Pro mid 2012

2.5 GHz intel core i5

DDR3 4 GB 1600 MHz

Graphics Intel HD 4000

Running OS X El Capitan

Thank you!

  • 8.1 Windows Pro will run in my PC smoothly?

Good evening. I have a little doubt whether to upgrade my PC to 8.1 Windows of Windows 7. I read a lot of reviews on Windows 8.1 and I think I'm hooked with some interesting features of it. But I wish to address the first things must considerate. I know, there is very little need to confirm before making an upgrade as requirements so that 8.1 will be a good choice. I want to see if my PC can handle Windows 8.1 with change PC lists:

Installed memory: 2 GB 800 MHz

Processor: Dual Core, Intel Pentium 2.4 GHz

SSE2 EAP, NX, taken in charge

Graphics card: Intel (R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family.

Please help me if it is better to do the upgrade. Please indicate the ADVANTAGES and DISADVANTAGES to do thank you and God bless :)

You can run, but he's going to run very slowly.  I certainly do not recommend unless you get at least 4 GB of memory RAM.  It is not expensive.

If you want to try, just be warned that you are in for a very slow computer.

I disagree, its going to be slow, I 8.1 Windows on a system with 2 GB RAM and Intel P4 2.0 GHz and it works enough. This isn't a speed demon, but it doesn't feel or run slowly. The applications launch and reasonably fast loading and continues during a 9 to 5 work day. Of course, more RAM is always better, especially if you want to do a lot of multitasking and you have a lot of tabs open in Internet Explorer.

In the end, it boils down to what the user:

-Productivity office (word processor, spreadsheet, graphics presentations)

-Web browsing (social networks, Youtube, email)

    -Email

    -Listen to music

Of course, if the user intends to run heavy apps like AutoCAD, QuickBooks, then you might see a significant performance drop, if you use Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.

To be honest, an SSD upgrade would in practice be the most good that still maxing out the RAM from storage will always be the bottleneck.

My MacBook Pro will be not not to connect wirelessly to my HP officejet printer. It worked perfectly for the last 12 months, but suddenly will not connect unless I use the lead. Boot camp could locate the iso file or CD the I burnt out of it.

Any idea? should I try with Win 7?

On a 2010 model, ISO (or installer USB) is not supported. Can you burn W8.1 to a physical DVD, and try to install using Wizard of BC?

Please also see using 8.1 for Windows on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support , and check to see if your specific model is listed.

Apple has set the rates, price around $300 repair program.  I don't think you can get a price of paste elsewhere.  However, there are third-party sites that provide repairs, parts and helpful videos.  Google is your friend.

  • A mid-Macbook Pro will work El Capitan OK

I know that Apple says El Capitan will work on a Macbook Pro mid, but I was wondering this works well, because memory is limited to 4 GB.  I have a 2.2 Ghz core 2 with 4 GB of memory running 10.8.5. Everything works fine now, but Apple is no longer supported and updated security.

After Turbo tax, I'll need to upgrade my OS to run their software for 2016, lack of support from security. Other software not Apple that I use are professional digital Canon Canon EOS Utility, Canon ImageBrowser EX, Photo Shop & Bridge CS3 which would not have long term and is the second big question after Turbo tax.  I also have a Canon i9900 printer, an Epson Artisan 837 printer and an Epson V600 Scanner. I need for my printer and scanner to work.

    My question is:

    (1) new OS works well with my old Macbook Pro or is it a stranger

    (2) recommendations on how to proceed if I upgraded the operating system. I've read a few people downloading to a card reader or thumb and run it from that as a trial.

    (3) it is time for a new Macbook Pro.

    MA895LL?

    Mid-2007?

If this is the model, Yes, it will run 10.11.3

It won't be great with 4 GB of RAM, in fact it will be a bit tedious if you start to tax it applications.

You may be able to spit your boot drive in another partition and install to that partition and boot to it, this will give you the most responsive install and allow you to keep your current operating system.

Your other option is an external drive. You can install 10.11.3 on one dedicated or external mechanical partition or disk hard SSD and boot to it.

All other software and drivers should be analyzed to determine if they will work in the upgraded operating system, you will have to search the web and find out yourself, but several printers and scanners do not have a life long development and many of your devices may not have drivers by developers. Contact companies and ask if you can not find on the web.

Back up your system with Time machine before continuing.

the other options is TurboTax has a version based on the web of their software? Use and maintain your system where it is and work, invest in another Mac when you can afford to do so if you need future 10.11.3.

  • My MacBook Pro will not turned off properly

    Hello.

I had problems with my MacBook Pro running El Capitan for a few months now that completely stops.

When I stopped my machine it starts as usual by removing bar at the bottom with all applications on and also everything on my desktop bar background. That is, it stops and I have to manually hold the power button to turn off the machine.

It becomes quite annoying say the least so any help I can get it with would be ace.

    Thank you in advance.

    Andy =)

    Hello

I had this problem too. No Wacom driver installed. If you have installed battery status (it was blocking my Mac), try this:

-the dock is still alive and the Finder is unusable open any application of the content of your dock

    -menu bar becomes visible

-Leave the battery of his entry menu bar status

-Stop or restart should now work

-after reboot remove the battery of your Startupitems status in the users/groups preferences

n ' forget not to leave the State of battery of its menu bar entry one last time!

    I hope that helps!

  • MacBook Pro will not load iPad Pro

I have a new iPad Pro.  It seems that my MacBook Pro (retina, mid-2012) is unable to load the iPad Pro.  I see in the iPad Pro (lightning) loading symbol indicating that he is in charge, but the percentage of the battery declines nonetheless.  If I plug the iPad Pro into the power adapter provided with it (or even in a power supply iPad 1) then it costs.

My MacBook Pro is able to charge iPad Pro?

    Thank you!

Correct, and it has been so for all iPads.  The output power of the USB port on the computer is not enough to fuel the iPad in use and load it.  Apple has always recommended using the power that comes with the iPad to recharge it as it's output is higher than a standard edge computer USB port

The smaller models of iPad (and maybe even the Pro, I have not tried) fresh peut leave a port of the computer if left in mode 'sleep' all connected, but even in this case, the charge rate will be much slower than if using the iPad Pro 12W power supply.

  • My MacBook Pro will read a Cd but iTunes import it. Why?

My Macbook pro can read a Cd inserted, but will not import into iTunes. Why?

You'll have to tell us. You did not really provide no other information that it displays on the computer (but does not say if it shows in iTunes itself, what happens when you try to import, or error messages). Are you sure it's a CD audio format? Are you sure that the CD has the same something about this?  If it is a mp3 CD you rip with iTunes, you drag the files in a window of iTunes.

  • a macbook pro will grow with my child...

I am considering getting a MacBook pro for my household. These are not cheap, so it will be an investment for me. I mostly use this for photos, household management, etc. most of use will come from 8 years. It is really in minecraft and is eager to start creating their own videos. I want to know if I invest in a MacBook pro if it will grow with my child as possible in his high school years? I hope that this could possibly him lasted until College. Thank you.

What is your definition of 'if it will grow with my child? Hardware MacBook Pro cannot be improved, except perhaps for some third-party flash storage. You can expect the computer to have a useful life of 5 years. I am sure that, at the time wherever your child gets at school or College, there will be new applications and technology that will not support your old computer.
