HP compaq: the Office shuts down.

How to backup data, when the desktop is wired and mobile wireless ethernet?
ISP is at & t Uverse packaged for TV, phone and Internet.
The laptop shows the home network when the desktop is turned off.
The office only displays the router when the laptop is turned off.
It defeats the purpose of a backup when the office is off,
because that's when you need the backup at first.
Any way around this dilemma?
My answer to 1. Data personal such as My Documents, photos and favorite.
2 try to back up data on the other computer? This question gives me a clue, that's why a computer displays the network folder while the other computer if off, but not vice versa.
I think the best solution, as I said elsewhere, is back up to an external hard drive.
3. I don't have an online connection.

Can I use as a point of access Wireless-G broadband router?
I use a router broadband wireless Netgear as main router to the ground floor and connected to the internet. I connected an access point wireless of LinkSys (WAP54G) as a wireless Repeater. Same SSID however, I turned wide dissemination. My office upstairs, I have wifi internet access very well and remain connected indefinitely. However, shortly after connecting to the Office VPN (off-site), the connection drops-both internet and VPN! I ran a loooong cat5 to the office on the floor and when it is connected to WAN I remains connected to two connections indefinitely. I do not have another AP, but I do not have a router Wireless G (WRT - 54G). Can I use this router as an AP, the same SSID, but I noticed on previous posts I should reactivate broadcast on all devices and change the channel settings. I noticed, when I went into the Setup utility 192.168.1.1, I access my netgear router, how to enter the Linksys router?

Nothing beats an AP on the WRT mode. It's just connecting it via the main router LAN port, you can use the access point without going through the router within the WRT component.
You will have to do exactly what I wrote. Don't change anything on the Netgear.
1. disconnect your network WRT. Wire a single computer to a LAN of the WRT port.
2. open the web interface of the WRT to http://192.168.1.1/ since the computer you plugged on the WRT.
3. on the main change WRT configuration page the LAN IP of 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.2 and disable the DHCP server.
4. save the settings. Unplug the computer.
5. wire one of the LAN ports of the WRT to the Netgear. Do not use the internet port of the WRT!
That's all. You don't change anything after that. It is the final configuration. You can now access the web interface Netgear http://192.168.1.1/ and the web interface WRT to http://192.168.1.2/

I have the problem that I can't solve.
Everything worked great until I bought the new laptop with map N.
My previous Setup was: WRT350N, wire connected desktop HP 1 GB, wire connected Dell computer laptop 1 GB, HP printer connected 10Mo wire and connected wireless laptop IBM 802.11 g (all running XP).
With this configuration all was working fine until I bought new Sony Vaio with N (Intel) card and Vista. Initially it connected without a lot of problems, but only with the speed of G (the Office was off). I made some changes in the configuration of the router - past from WEP to WPA2, band radio to wide etc. Result - worked well with speed N.
Next day I couldn't connect via radio by any way (which includes Vaio and IBM; Office lit up).
I suspect me of Vista on the new Vaio so I started to install the patches, hotfixes, drivers, etc. Then I accidentally turned off the desktop computer, wireless started working.If the final configuration is like this:
desktop computer is off - works wireless on two laptops, using N or not, in the work of wire connected Dell and printer.
On office - Wireless does not work on two laptops, wire connected to Dell and HP printer work.What is going on?

It has worked before with only a laptop and G network but when I set up the router for N, I changed the channel from 1 to 7 and turned on the radio 40 Mhz band.Removed the dongle, switch back to channel 2 with 20 Mhz band and everything works (I also had a few problems of range so I'm sticking with standard channel for now.)

Restart of Windows 7 do not install correctly and repeated

I used windows 7 for years, never had any problem and the update of windows 10 being available for me at home I have had repeated errors.
First, I installed 10 windows on my laptop and who died with a kind of disk error. So that put me off adding w10 to my office.
The update became available on my desk and I refused to update and continue with w7. After a few weeks, I started to find that my office was going randomly through the shutdown process.
After some checks and ensure that it was not an overheating problem.
-reinstalled windows 7
1 week later the reset has started to happen again...
-installed windows 10 (he hated and reversed the update)
I looked online to find that a file to update windows ending 583 is part of the w10 pre install and probably was causing reset.

Can't get Acrobat tab to view in Word

I mostly followed the re - install repair Acrobat, but nothing seems to work. I'm trying to get hired to 508 compliance and the employer try to test my abilities, but I can't even start the test on my computer (Windows 7 Alienware) that part of the procedure to have the PDF Maker tab in Word.

I'm having problems with my Tecra A7 (model No.: PTA70U-00J007). Until now, whenever I turn on my laptop it should start normally. I could then get the Windows XP loading screen, then I would be taken to the Office of my laptop. Short time (about 2 minutes after the computer has booted).
The laptop turns off. I was left with a black screen with the backlight fluorescent on. Although the computer still seems to be as I could hear that it works. I tried to re-boot the computer several times, but again, I have not found a solution. Someone would be able to help out me?

try to start Windows in safe mode (press F8 from time to time when starting your laptop computer while the Windows boot menu displays). If safe mode works, try to remove the video card (Mobile Intel 945 Express) in Device Manager, then reboot in normal mode and remove the driver video together (Intel GMA... driver) Control Panel configuration/add or Remove Programs Manager. Reinstall the driver download from the Toshiba support pages or the pages of Intel support.
Without doubt, this helps, but if you can't boot up your laptop in safe mode, you should restore your Toshiba product recovery disk windows.
I think that this is not a hardware failure.
