I connected an external hard drive (brand is seagate) that still works on my previous laptop (Dell), but the system does not overlay the external hard drive.   Can you please tell us which model of laptop you have exactly?
  Do you use an original preinstalled operating system?
  Are you using USB ports?
  Have you noticed the same problem using all available ports?

• Moto Q does not recognize the memory card

  I just added a 2 GB memory card that is approved for the Moto Q 9 M... For some reason, my phone does not recognize the memory card. In the memory section it shows the card is unknown.

  Try formatting the card on your pc and then install it on the phone. If it's 2 GB sandisk it should work fine. If the phone or the card is left. Sometimes reformat card strives to set everything right.

  Hey, my new T440p with integrated WWAN Ericsson N5321gw does not recognize the SIM card. I am running Win7 64 Bit and in the Device Manager, I see the Ericsson unit without any error. Once I launche logins, I have the error message if there is no SIM card inserted and I have to insert the SIM card and try again. The SIM card is inserted as indicated next to the slot (although I tried in other ways, too). I tried two different SIM cards just to be sure, two SIM cards work in my phone. Any idea?   To not recognize the incoming faxes, I've included the document "cannot send or receive faxes. I know that's not the exact error message you get, but the steps will always help you.

  If you are still having the same problem after troubleshooting, could you please answer the following questions.

  1 is on a dedicated phone line fax machine, or is it shared with another phone?
  2. are you using a separator, or is plugged directly into the phone jack fax line?
  3. the phone cord is plugged you need two wires of copper at the end?
  4. do nothing missing on the fax test report?
  5. do you have an answering machine (physical box), or voicemail (you must call to access your messages)?
  6. What is the rings before answer on?

  Please let me know the results for the troubleshooting steps.

  My Q10 is recognize my contact when I am called, but does not recognize the sender of the text message when I get one.

  Our mobile numbers starting with 07XX.XXX.XXX

  When you call from another country you put only + 40 then the number of laptop without the 0 (+ 407XX.XXX.XXX)

  In our country are 4 mobile operators (Vodafone, Orange, Cosmote and Digi).

  There is a situation when if you are called to another network, the number makes an appearance with the prefix of the country as + 407XX.XXX.XXX and my Q10 recognizes not the same if the appellant, it is in my contact list.

  Today, I noticed another BIG PROBLEM.

  So, I have in my contacts... John Smith with 0722.123.456.

  When I am called by him, it apears John Smith, but when I recive text message from him, it apears + 40722.123.456.

  My stupid Q10 does not recognize the contact!

  If I change the number on my agenda and I put + 40722.123.456 to John Smith, he acknowledged the sender of text, but it does not recognize the appellant (when I get a call from John Smith), it apears 0722.123.456.

  I used a lot of o phones: Nokia (many models), Iphone, Siemens, Samsung, etc, since 1996.

  I NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM UNTIL TODAY!

  EVEN WITH THE OLD MODELS AND STUPID OF NOKIA!

  The work-around, I have read other users is to include the number of the contact in two formats...

  Thus, John Smith would have one number registered with 40 +, and other registered without the + 40.
