  A month ago, I created a file of color of our new company "colors". I put the swatch file (* .ase) in all the respective directories for InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Well, here it is a month later and I tried to load this file. And it is gone! When I load, no change at all will fit in the Swatches palette. One thing I had to do during the month delete InDesign 5.5.1 because some of my plug-ins are not working. Thus, during this period I was on 5.5 I ever tried to access this swatch file. But, when my provider plugin updated their software, then, I topped up InDesign 5.5.1. I don't think that this has nothing to do with this problem. But, in any case, it was a lot of work.

  You can redo the .ase of the original document file? I confess that I have no idea of how the content could going to miss, but I'll assume that you are right, and recreating things is probably the fastest thing you can do.

  That's why I recommended the steps I did in my previous post - although it seems as if you have not yet tried.  They would systematically eliminiate possibilities for why these files keep re-appearance.  What AV program use you - I mean the one that you use are the Trojan horse in the first place (and I assume you are using yet)?  Do you remember the name of the virus?  It is possible that, despite the fact that you re-installed the system you likely to be infected (still or once again)-, that's why I have recommended to several programs different anti-malware initially.  The other stages are designed to verify your system files in an attempt to fix anything that causes this problem.  The last step is similar to a re - install except it does not affect your data, programs or settings - but will put your system to its original state (Yes, you will have a lot of updates to catch up) if all goes well after the first step to eradicate all remaining malware that may affect your system files and caused this problem (or still cause this problem).

  When you say that you get a completely different window when you type anywhere - do you hear when you perform an advanced search by clicking the search everywhere hyperlink?  What is the difference - I mean, what is different about it?  You can send us a screenshot?  Generally, research shows the folders and files and don't separate them into folders as folder recently changed (even though it may include elements that it contained - especially one request search everywhere).  If yours are separated in a recently modified file list then that certainly does not work according to the specifications (and makes me think the malware system file changes or malicious software).  Which version of Windows Vista you're using (I have 32 bit Vista Business SP2)?

  FWIW... Regardless of what I or someone else
  you... the best bet is to maintain up-to-date backups 'Always'
  of * all * your files, photos, documents, ect...
  external media. (Personally I archive 'all' of my personal files)
  on two different external hard drives and data DVDs)

  First... If you have Picasa or photo library open when
  you go to your pictures folder and try renaming a
  folder... the warning could be because these same files
  are being accessed in Picasa and photo gallery.

  You do not have three locations of photo storage... Photo
  Gallery and Picasa are simply a photo viewers / editors.

  Copies of your photos are not archived in these applications.

  And... one or two programs to uninstall does not remove
  your photos that you have saved in your folder images/s.

  Your actual photos would be stored on your hard drive...
  more than likely in your... Pictures folder or other folders
  of your choice.

  However... Photo gallery maintains an exclusive file
  that contains the original versions of your files that have changed for the
  goal to return to the unedited version.

  If there is no chance you would like to return to your
  versions to the original edition, you can remove the
  files in the original Images folder.

  I know what I need to change in the hosts file, but I can't change the attributes. I tried to use Notepad, but it does not record.  I guess that's because it is readonly and a file system. I tried to use the cmd commands and attribute... does not work.  Don't know how to change the hosts file.

  It turns out that the part of the Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended software called Adobe Presenter 7 causes the sharing to go haywire.

  I deleted Adobe Presenter 7, and just like that, sharing has increased again.

  In addition, Adobe Acrobat 9 was causing my sidebar to go haywire, so I advanced and which takes off as well.
