  Hi, I tried to connect my laptop (Windows 8.1-64-bit) on my printer (HP Deskjet 1050 all-in-One J410 series).  I tried to install the printer using the CD that came with it, but it shows a message "not compatible with this operating system". After reviewing previous questions here, I tried to download the software driver for this printer. None of these files have no effect with some presenting a message saying that the device must already be installed on the laptop for it to open. Anyone able to help?

  I tried to install drivers several times, and they all install. When I plug in my printer to the computer recognizes the printer, and it seems that the printer works.   Method 1.
  Try to run a Microsoft Fix it that automatically diagnoses and repairs printing problems, installation of a printer, connecting to a network printer and other related errors.
  To do this, go to problems with printing and printing errors on the Microsoft Web site and then click Run now.

  Clear printer spooler files and activate the spooler service
  Stage I.
  a. Click Start, type "Services.msc" (without the quotation marks) in the Open box and click OK.
  b. double click on "Printer Spooler" in the Services list.
  c. click on stop, and then click OK.
  d. Click Start, type "% WINDIR%\system32\spool\printers" in the opened window and delete all the files in this folder.

  I bet that the problem is not the port you are using then. I bet it's that drivers are not compatible with the version of Windows you are using. Here is a link to the right software and drivers.   You can install the software on two computers. These two computers can be Windows, Mac OS, or everyone.

  If you install on a third computer, you will be asked to turn off this feature on the other two computers.  You can then re-enable one of the two previous computers and use Cloud Creative apps on it.

  If you regularly need to use creative cloud on more than two computers, it would be better to buy an additional subscription. It's the same btw license we have for our perpetual product. A benefit for Creative cloud above the perpetual product however is that you can install on Mac and Windows with the same subscription!
