  Looks like you did a system rather than a system restore recovery.  If you have inserted a disc supplied with your machine and booted from it, you probably erased the disc and installed the original operating system provided with your computer.  Usually, a step in this recovery is to do a full format or quick of your drive.  If you did a full format, your data is permanently lost.  With a quick format, your data may still be there, somewhere but inaccessible by normal means.  Applications must generally be installed, in order to recover the files probably will not help unless you have the original installation media.  Your other data files (images, videos, financial data) may be salvageable, but at this point, it would be advisable to take your computer or your disk to a business/professional who is experienced with data disc recovery.  It will be cheap and there is no guarantee.

  Impatient, remember investigate you a backup strategy for your computer and critical data.  Hard drives can go wrong with little or no warning.

  Hello. When I opened the Mavis Beacon typing program that is shown in my bar tasks and I can hear the audio but the program does not open on the screen. If I mouse over the icon, I see the start of programs screen. Right-clicking on the icon doesn't give me the opportunity to maximize. This happens when I try to open it from the desktop shortcut or .exe file and even if I try to "open as Administrator".

  The mouse on the icon in the taskbar, then move up and do a right-click of the start screen, you see.  From there, choose move.  Press a key on your keyboard (any one) and now finally, move you mouse around and see if the window is displayed.

After all a straight 24 hours of constant fiddling done everything I read on without success, I finally understand how to restore the ability to open my programs (applications). I read all the different means like the system restore and guests of order and same EXE by typing in the Control Panel folder options, but none of this has worked. I'm 18 years old and figured this out me so I believe that most amateurs could do. Since I had problems with applications (.exe) I chose the difficulty of EXE file Association and just opened and he ran and after executed selection and then run again in the next menu (I could have done more but that is pretty much it; just keep clicking on program run or anything like that) and INSTANTLY without having to restart my computer everything worked :) I STRONGLY SUGGEST TRYING THIS FIRST BECAUSE I TRIED EVERYTHING, I READ HERE THAT I COULD FIND AND IT WAS VERY COMPLICATED, AND NONE OF IT HAS WORKED, EXCEPT THIS.   Here's what's happening.

  I have an add on package I wanted to pack with a main program.  The problem is that the add-on is not an .exe file so I had to make a .bat file to open it, which, unfortunately, is not recognized as a user entry point.   So I converted the file .bat to .exe file so that I could create a user to this file entry point.

  It is a situation similar to opening a word document and it will automatically open Microsoft word.  Only in my case I create a batch file for this word document and then convert it into a .exe file so I could create a user for this document entry point.

  So in my case after it's all packed to the top and I run the user entry point, I get an error could not open file.  Is that what I would call a linked file?  I'm packing up under copy writing/isolation mode and not in merged mode.

  Any ideas?

  In most cases, you won't need to run the application during the capture process. In some scenarios it will probably a solution to set some values "first round" for an application.

  In this case, you try to start a batch (bat) file. All Thinstall/ThinApp scenarios with a bat file to add this to your package.ini
