  • Aspire R7-571 unable to see SC card when inserted

I know it worked until I updated to Windows 10 point 8.1 of Windows, but to be honest I have not used this car because I have improved.

I did a full installation of Windows 10 but saw the installation of any program remove and install own from scratch.

Device Manager says "properly installed" USB peripheral locations

I have tried to delete all the entries in the root and reboot, without modification USB hub.  The drivers rediscoved OK, but still no Sd Card is recognized, either when it is inserted or when insterted and power cycling the laptop while it is inserted.

Anyone else having this problem?  No ideaswhat is perhaps the problem?

I did this and did not notice anything again appear that I could see.  But it leads me to what did and I have to work.  I started to test all devices you are looking for any mention of the SD card or, basically.

I installed "Realtek PCIE card reader" in the Device Manager and let it reinstall after rebooting.  Now, he acknowledges the inserted card once it starts.

I was worried that it was a driver problem with Windows 10.

  • Just moved and my laptop is now unable to see my wireless network.

original title: can't set up wireless connection

I just moved into a new apartment. Very well I can connect to the internet via ethernet. I'm having difficulties to establish a wireless connection. When I disconnect the ethernet and WiFi lights, my network is not. I don't know much about computers, so maybe it's a simple solution. I tried to make a new wireless profile, but once I do that, the wireless profile, I've tried to create does not appear on the list of available networks. Please let me know what I can do to solve this problem. Thank you very much.

    Hello

While you're on the connection of the cable to connect to the wireless router and check the wireless settings (see Manual of the router).

If everything checks OK examine your computer wireless system.
    ------------------

Assuming that wireless router is configured correctly, it is a signal and the wireless card on the computer is physically in.

Then pass these steps and tell us where is the breaking point.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

YY should be between 0 and 255

ZZ should be between 0 and 255 (zz all the same number.)

The date of the lease must be valid at the present time.

    * Note 1. IP that starts with 169.xxx.xxx.xxx isn't valid functional IP.

    * Note 2. There could be an IPv6 entries too. However, they are not functional for Internet or LAN traffic. They are necessary for Win 7 homegroup special configuration.

A message in the small window that says connected wireless doesn't means that you are really a valid functional connection.

Above everything is OK, you must be able to connect to the router.

If it doesn't connect to the router, journal newspaper from any computer that can connect to the router wirelessly with a wire, disable wireless security, make sure that the wireless SSID broadcast is enabled and try to connect with no. wireless security.

Enable security wireless after you eat to make a functional connection.

  • My HP 8500 Wireless printer does not see my wireless network.

Using my wireless HP8500 printer, I am unable to see my wireless network.  I recently bought a Linksys EA6500 router and this is when the change occurred.  I am Windows 7 64 bit on my laptop and desktop.  Does anyone have suggestions on what to do?  the printer is able to see other networks in the vicinity, but not mine.  My Network works fine with all my other devices.

    Thank you!

I don't know what is happening here.  Cisco routers are usually pretty good at this stuff.

That is, you can run Ethernet (Cat5) that should work and avoids all the problems wireless.  Your ipad/iphone will not worry how the printer is connected as long as the router can communicate with it.

Once you connect the printer to the router with Ethernet, we will set an IP address of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

  • Unable to see wireless networks

I had a Wireless Linksys 802.11 G (WRT54G) and card adapter 802.11 N (WMP600N) for several years. I'm running on XP Pro 2002 SP3 on a desktop with an elite E7200 MB and Core 2 Duo processor. This morning I was unable to connect to the wifi while I had no problem before. I also noticed that I have no visibility for networks wireless in the region, there are usually several. Here's what I did to try to resolve the problem:

    (1) I opened the window to the systray MS wireless network connection, and he says "no wireless networks were found in range." I chose the network list refresh, but no diff.
    (2) I checked my smartphone, and it is connected to my wifi, so the modem and/or router is not the problem.
    (3) I rebooted my modem and router with my PC anyway, just to be sure. Still no diff.
    (4) I opened a Cmd window and sent a ping 192.168.1.1 (router), and it has expired.
    (5) from the Cmd window, I ran the following commands:
    (a) ipconfig/release
    (b) ipconfig / renew
    (c) ipconfig/flushdns
    (d) ipconfig/registerdns
    Still no diff.
    (6) I opened Services.msc and checked my Wireless Auto Configuration service, and it is set to automatic and is started.
    (7) I opened the network connection and a right on wireless network connection and selected click Deactivate and then reactivate. No diff.
    (8) I opened the network connection and click with the right button on wireless network connection and select Repair. No Diff
    (9) I reinstalled my modem and router, next to my computer and logged a rigid cable from the router to the PC (not a proper fix). I was able to connect to the network and to the internet by cable, but not yet by the wireless.
    (10) I went to the site Linksys and downloaded an update of the driver for the network card and installed. Still no diff.
    (11) my system is dual boot with Ubuntu Linux, so I rebooted into Ubuntu. Ubuntu has shown that both my Wi - Fi network connections and worked. I disconnected the wired and wireless was still working. I was able to access the internet via WiFi on Ubuntu! This means that the problem is not with my hardware or BIOS!.
    (12) I rebooted into XP. The wireless connection still does not work and is still not able to see the networks without wire in the region.
I am unable to get my wireless network connection is working under XP. Is there something that only I was missing to get this working again?

    Hello

Your wireless adapter should show 3 tabs, general/Wireless Networks / advanced. It is not in my experience of this tab to miss when a wireless adapter is installed.

Your installation of the driver installs a configuration of the Linksys utility? If so, open it and look for a setting allow Windows to manage the wireless network. Or even try to Setup using this instead of Windows.

If you uninstall the wireless card in Device Manager...

    • Click Start, click Run, type devmgmt.msc and press enter
    • Enlarge (click on +) section of the network cards
    • Right-click your wireless card and click on uninstall

.. .and then restart the PC and let the XP to re - install the adapter and its drivers, adapater properties has now three tabs, including wireless networks?

If your configuration is a single PC and wireless router or multiple PC where all other PCs are OK, I wouldn't bother with the thumb and the wizard disk. Easier to just right click on the network icon at the bottom right of your screen wireless, then click View available wireless networks, click Select your network and click on connect (assuming you can get the tab missing is displayed).

  • Unable to connect to a network printer, but can see and discover

I'd appreciate any help with this: I have exhausted my Google searches for most of the day, and Microsoft support articles are of course a great help.

The problem: I have a printer installation on one of the XP Home computers in our home network (all the XP Home computers). I am trying to connect to this printer from another computer, but I'm unable to add through the "Add printer" Wizard While I can see the printer in the list of printers on a network (including two other printers on other machines that work), when I try to connect to this particular printer in question, I am struck with a challenge to connect with what seems to be the guest account on the computer. There is no password for this account so I leave the password blank, and I then told me that I do not have sufficient permissions. I don't know what to do.

A few pieces of my Google-ing info that may be useful:

    (1) I made sure that the guest account is enabled and even perform the active command of the net user on the computer in question.
    (2) I use Windows Firewall and I said to turn on the printer and file sharing and have exceptions for such.
    (3) I use Microsoft Security Essentials.

    (4) given that it is XP Home of course I can't access everything related to security or other policy.

In addition, whenever I try to access this computer on the Working Group, it says I have "insufficient permissions". I don't know what it means that I've never been specified no restrictions when I ran the Network Setup Wizard.

Windows networking works better if you have matching user accounts password on each machine rather than try to rely on the guest account (which is a security hole).

See the following tips from the old MS MVP Malke.  He's old, but it's always good.  Not everything can be applied to your situation; Take the parts that do.

The best and simplest is to buy a wireless router. This way you get Internet connectivity both machines and the added benefit of security more between you and the Internet. Then you configure your network wireless safely, and then you configure file/printer sharing. Here is information on the implementation of a router and also in networking. It seems long, but don't be intimidated. Setting up a router and the LAN of sharing between two computers takes about 15 minutes.

    The router configuration

Setting up a router is simple enough. Normally, you run the CD that came with the router and follow the instructions. If you're running Vista, maybe the CD that came with the router does not work; I do not know this. But you can set up the router without the CD. Note that if you have Internet cable for the connection you have just set up the router to DHCP (or there may even be a choice of cable to choose). If you have DSL Internet, you select TRP usually and enter the username and password you selected when you initially set the DSL connection. So:

    1. turn off the power to your cable modem.

    2. attach a cable (usually supplied with the router) course Ethernet cat5e Internet/WAN port of the router to the Ethernet port on the cable modem.

    3. connect the ethernet cable cat5e from the network card in your computer to one of the ports on the router. If you do not have an ethernet cable (because you were using USB), you will need to go to the store and buy a.

    4. turn on the cable modem. After that all the lights are on, turn on the router.

    To configure the router:

Have a computer connected to the router with an ethernet cable. Examples given are for a Linksys router. See the manual of your router or the router mftr's Web site. for the parameters by default if you don't have a Linksys. Open a browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox and in the address bar type:

http://192.168.1.1 [Enter] (it is default IP address of the router, which varies from router to router then check your manual)

This will bring you to the login screen of the router. The default username is blank and the Linksys default password is "admin" without the quotes. Enter this information. You are now in the configuration of the router utility. Your configuration utility may be slightly different from mine.

Click the Administration link at the top of the page. Enter your new password. MAKE A NOTE SOMEWHERE THAT YOU WILL NOT LOSE. Re-enter the password to confirm it, and then click Save settings at the bottom of the page. The router will reboot and show you the box of connection again. Do not fill in the user name and put it in your new password to enter the configuration utility.

Now, click on the link wireless at the top of the page. Change the network name (SSID) wireless by default to something, you'll recognize. I suggest that my clients not use their surname as the SSID. For example, you might want to name your network wireless network "CastleAnthrax" or similar.

Click on save settings and when you get the prompt that your changes were successful, click the wireless security link which is just beside the Basic Wireless Settings link (where you changed your SSID). If you have a newish computer, you will be able to affect security WPA2-Personal Mode. Do this and enter a password. The password is what you enter on all computers that are allowed to connect to the wireless network. MAKE A NOTE SOMEWHERE THAT YOU WILL NOT LOSE.

At this point, your router is set up and if the computer that you use to configure the router will normally connect wireless, disconnect the Ethernet cable and wireless of the computer should see your new network. Enter the password you created to join the network and start surfing.

    B. file/printer sharing of

Excellent, comprehensive, but easy to understand article on sharing files/printer under Vista. Contains information about sharing printers and files, and the folders:

    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727037.aspx

For XP, start by running the Network Setup Wizard the on all machines (see warning in section A below).

Problems sharing files between computers on a network are usually caused by 1) a misconfigured firewall or a firewall neglected (including a dynamic firewall in a virtual private network); or (2) inadvertently run two firewalls such as the firewall of Windows and a third-party firewall. and/or (3) do not have accounts to the same users and passwords on all computers in the workgroup. (4) tries to create actions where the operating system does not.

    A. configure the firewall on all machines to allow traffic to local area network (LAN) as being approved. With the Windows Firewall, it means which allows file sharing / print on the Exceptions tab normally run the XP Network Setup Wizard will take care of this for these machines. The only "witch hunt", it will turn on the XPSP2 Windows Firewall. If you are not running a third-party firewall or you have an antivirus with "Internet Worm Protection" (like Norton 2006/07) which acts as a firewall, you're fine.  With a third-party firewall, I usually set up the allocation of LAN with an IP address range. E.g. would be 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.254. Obviously you would substitute your correct subnet. Do not run more than one firewall. DON'T STOP FIREWALLS; CONFIGURE THEM CORRECTLY.

    (B) to facilitate the Organization, put all computers in the same workgroup. This is done from the System applet in Control Panel, the computer name tab.

    C. create the counterpart of the user accounts and passwords on all machines. You do not need to be logged into the same account on all machines and assigned to each user account passwords can be different; accounts/passwords just need to exist and to match on all machines. DO NOT NEGLECT TO CREATE PASSWORDS, EVEN IF ONLY OF SIMPLE. If you want a machine to boot directly to the desktop (a particular user account) for convenience, you can do this. The instructions on this link work for XP and Vista:

Set up Windows to automatically connect (MVP Ramesh) - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Autologon.htm

    D. Si one or more of the computers is XP Pro or Media Center, turn off Simple file sharing (Folder Options > view tab).

    E. create share as you wish. XP Home does not share the users directory or the Program Files, but you can share folders inside those directories. A better choice is to simply use the Shared Documents folder. See the first link above for more information on Vista sharing.

    F. you have the job of file sharing (and tested by exchanging a file between machines), if you want to share a printer connected locally to one of your computers, share of this machine. Then go to the printer mftr Web site. and download the latest drivers for the correct system. Install them on the target machines. The printer must be collected during the installation procedure. If this isn't the case, install the drivers and then use the Add Printer Wizard. In some cases, printers must be installed as local printers, but it is outside this response.
