  I use Jdev 11.1.1.6. I'm working on a research project for which Iam currently using ADF query Panel. But there are two requirements where I'm stuck.
  1. I want to disable some of the fields in the query Panel when loading the page. On the choice of a field (LOV), the other should get enabled.
  
  2. I want to combine certain fields and provide an individual participant for these groups (mainly to make it understandable by customers), but there will be only a search button to find the records.
  
  These requirements is possible via the query Panel? Any work around it?
  Or I'll write my own custom search panel?

• the envy 100 printer screen is partly dead (has stopped working)

  E screen has a problem. the bottom of the screen in part went dead the bottom to wy about half to the top of the window. This dead zone seems to be getting bigger.  The printer is atill impression, but the "copy" button and other actions went walkabouts!

  Make sure there is no damage to the power cord and it is connected directly to a wall outlet.

  The printer should not be exposed to an electric or magnetic field.

  I would like to do a hard reset of the printer.
  While the printer is still on, unplug the power cable to the back of the printer and the wall outlet.

  Wait 10 seconds and connect the power cable to the wall then the back of the printer.

• After ACPI update my 4310 SP works v.slow and EC/KBC is dead!

  Well, that's a hard someone solve this without sending me to the Toshiba Service is a guru.

  I have a 4310. Since I got it, there was a problem with my power management. The pc does not recognize when it was plugged in or during the performance of the batt. When you unplugged it thought even that it runs since the power so when the battery went flat after about an hour the PC just went dead BAM!

  But this isn't my main problem, but it is necessary.

  I decided to sell the PC on EBAY but for this I tried to fix the bug of the battery. I went to the support of Toshiba and downloaded something called ACPI COMMON MODULES UPDATE. I installed it and after a reboot WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW it's SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!

  Since this restart PC runs about 50% of the previous speed (checked before it went bananas and after with the same benchmarking tool). I changed operating systems and hard disks and system files and it is as slow as a turtle.

  So I decided to update the BIOS (I have done before with the 2.70 version and I have updated the EC/KBC by pressing the tab so) and the BIOS is ok, but the EC/KBC just beeps and won't be updated.

  So my friends I'm out of ideas. I spent a week online to search for a Transfer, but all they said is contact Toshiba support paartner or something. But I don't want to pay houndrets of books for the repair that the PC is not worth that much.

  Alternatevilly (my English is ekhem... Sorry) can I just replace the mobo with a different model and what model do I use as a machine of donors.

  Well, as far I know a beep and a message appears after successful update EC/KBC procedure. In addition, you will need to remove the power adapter and plug it back once more.
  It is very important that after EC/KBC update of the system should be checked with the diagnostic test procedure because the processor only works with 600 MHz. But unfortunately these tests can be done only by ASP ;(
  But I m sure that it is not very expensive. I recommend you ask ASP for this service and prices.

• ERROR reading parameterized query

  I had this problem.

  I wrote with the Labview Toolkit of DB connectivity a VI reading data from a MS Access database via a parametric query.

  If the fields of the query come from the same table, the query works correctly in Labview.

  BUT if the Join query fields from different tables related to each other, Labview gives me this error:

  -2147467259 error in NI_Database_API.lvlib:Cmd Execute.vi-> 1. Untitled vi

  Possible reasons:
  ADO error: 0x80004005
  Exception occurred in the Microsoft Office Access database engine: operation non valida. in NI_Database_API.lvlib:Rec create - Command.vi-> NI_Database_API.lvlib:Cmd Execute.vi-> vi Untitled 1.

  I am attaching 2 examples of application both with the same settings:

  -the first with all the fields in the 1 table (race)

  -the second as above just add 2 fields from a related table (giving error)

  Could you please help me? It is really important!

  You can reach three things - the VI that works, the VI that fails and a test database that we can use to investigate this?  Note that you must attach a real VI, not a photo, we have to be able to inspect, test, and modify the code in order to provide the best help for you.

  As you have no condition on the element in your ONCE - NEW - ITEM - INSTANCE - trigger each navigation to another item will lead you to the RULE_ITEM. RULE_ITEM_NAME. Move the code in the WHEN-NEWS-FORUM-trigger POINT to the WHEN-NEW-FOLDER-INSTANCE-trigger on your RULE_ITEM block.

  Row3, Field3: I need the third field to calculate the percentage of sum of two fields.
  
  I tried different ways to insert this calculation with no luck. It's my first time to create a rtf report and any help would be gratly appreciated.

• Date query shows no results for the date of the day

  Hello everyone. I use Jdeveloper 11.1.1.3.0 with ADF and I have a view named query with a single field, Date. The operator that he uses is equal to a value written in the field. The problem is that when I insert a line in the table (the date is automatically set to the current date on the insertion) and I'm looking for today it returns nothing. However if I leave the field blank it will find me the line. I tried to do this with the timestamp option, but it is not very user-friendly, the user will need to type in the time line was inserted to find, or use between it operator for two fields which is something I want to avoid if possible
  
  The requirement is a query field that allows the user to choose a date on the calendar and shows all lines that are inserted at this date (even if the date is today, and the line was inserted a few minutes before).

  Dino2dy,

  The best way to proceed would be just to add an additional attribute to your VO - use "TRUNC (your_date_column_name)" as the value for the attribute - then just compare this attribute in the named view criteria.

  I have a helpdesk application in which the user enters the question on a form (Memo field) and technology between their solution (another Memo field).

  I can't get all of the text that is in the comic book to display on the form of the tech work.

  I tried:

  (1) UPDATE main_helpdesk

  on the action page,.

  (2) setting the Unicode Compression on 'no' in the properties Memo field in the DB (Access 2007 for the moment-SQLSever soon).

  (3) questioning the Memo separately from the main query fields:

  OF main_helpdesk

  WHERE queue_ID = #URL.queue_ID #.

  No luck yet...

  Things to check.

  1 is the value of the description truncated in the database?  If Yes, check the data type of the database column.

  2. If the value is not truncated to the database, but it is truncated in the SELECT query, verify that CLOB is enabled in your data source CF.  See: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/9.0/Admin/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811cbf364104-7fe7 .html

  Note that you must also use CFQUERYPARAM in your SELECT query.

• Query of query error

  This is the error I get-
  Query of queries syntax error. Met ".» Error running query of queries.
  The Cold Fusion Server is running 7,0,1,116466 MX.
  The sql is ' Select * from Invlotquery2 where lotnum = ' 2011-61-12. ' "." (The extra space after the single quotation mark is for clarity).
  I have already built the application and the user tries to filter on a batch number. Whenever the batch number starts as digital and is 10-digit long(2011-61-12) the above error occurs. An of the lotnumber that starts out as a character or a batch number that starts and less than 10 digital characters or more than 10 characters works well. I still have the code in place to create a dummy record from the query that defines the query fields up as characters. I discovered that previous versions of Cold Fusion could create query in the numeric form fields, if it is not specified.
  This really seems to be a specific user error, but I thought I'd post here to see if anyone has had a similar problem or knows a solution.

  My guess is that Cold Fusion interprets the field lotnum as a date instead of a string. To get around this, you can add an extra field to the select clause of your initial query that adds a letter to the lot number. Then, in your q, use this field in which your article.

  Past_Due and Task_Count are calculated fields and are therefore useless.
  You must not store redundant data (in general).
  Your past_due also uses a reference to sysdate, so the value is today different from tomorrow. You expect the database to change the value from one day to the next?
  So keep the data where it is and display calculated to your users using your query fields (oher options are available, but you already have the request I will not go in the).
