  • Battery does not charge even when it is plugged

    Hey world-

I currently have a Dell Laptop Inspiron 1525 I bought in April 2008. A few weeks ago, I noticed that my battery has not been reloaded, even when it's plugged in, and I confirmed it by clicking on the icon the battery and reading, "plugged in, not charging.» Because my battery is over a year old, I advanced and bought a new battery AND a new laptop computer charger, just in case where it's the two that were dead/defective.

However, the issue has not changed: battery still says: "plugged in, not charging.»

I checked with different points of sale, I changed my savings 'power' on my computer and I looked over my ports - everything is in working order.

How can I get this problem resolved?

  • Satellite L300-29U - Vista crashes, even in safe mode

Hi, I really hope there is someone out there who can help me, my laptop does not work (properly) more, and I don't know what is the cause.

    * The short version: *.

Two days ago my computer froze all of a sudden for no apparent reason. It did not (without Ctrl-Alt-Del, etc), I could only move the pointer. Since then, has happened repeatedly, even in safe mode. A potential clue: runs chkdsk c: \r \f results in a blue screen.

    * Details: *.

I have a Satellite L300-29U (about 3.5 years) with Windows Vista.
Two days ago the computer is not responding, after running normally for a few hours. I had not installed a new hardware or software. Even the clock had stopped. Only the pointer could be moved, but clicking on had no effect, or no has Ctrl-Alt-Delete. I stopped him via the power button. It restarted normally, I opened it then Firefox, but shortly after the same problem has emerged.
I selected the Mode without fail to start and then let my antivirus (Avira) program a complete check of the system. The computer froze again after about an hour and 30% in the analysis. (Curiously, the timer showing how much time had passed since the beginning of the analysis was still running, but had stopped the clock of the computer.)
Later, I tried another full analysis and again once it froze. Before that, I ran a few quick scan negative that came.

In general, I find that Windows starts fine, but in normal mode it freezes pretty quickly when I try to do something. In safe mode, it freezes more quickly, but it's still sometimes.

I also tried the "repair your computer" option at startup.
    -System Restore does not help
-Memory Diagnostic is not a problem

Searching online, I found suggestions for select command prompt and try to chkdsk. My conclusions:
-chkdsk c: /f gives no indication of errors. The only thing that might be unusual is the following message at the end (translated from Dutch): "cannot transfer the log to the event log messages. Status 50. »
-chkdsk c: /r /f results in a blue screen, each time to the same point in the process, namely, the 4th stage (verification of the data of the file), after having transformed the 133 634 files. The blue screen that appears shows the following:

    -----
    QUOTE
A problem has been detected and Windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
    (...)
    Technical information: * STOP: 0 x 00008086 (0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
    WORDS
    -----

    * Things I have NOT tried (again): *.

-Execution of TOSHIBA hard drive recovery
    -Formatting the hard drive

Why not try these again is that I still have a glimmer of hope that he might be up to a corrupt file, and I don't want to use a gun if it turns out to be a mosquito.

I tried to look online for questions asked by people with problems and similar symptoms, but I find not only the case with some similarities, not exactly the same thing.

Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

    > Two days my computer froze all of a sudden for no apparent reason
Above all it s sign parts hardware problem as a module of memory or the motherboard can cause this.

    > Since it happened repeatedly, even in safe mode. A potential clue: runs chkdsk c: \r \f results in a blue screen.

The command chkdsk access and HARD drive tests so it could also be that the HARD drive is the troublemaker.

From my point of view, you should start the recovery and should set the device to the factory settings.
If the device would not work even after you have used the factory condition, I guess that one of the mentioned parts malfunctions.

How do I get help please

    Hello

    What BSOD you get exactly?

Satellite L300, you need SATA drivers to install Windows on a drive of Microsoft because it s equipped to a SATA HDD. The driver you need you can find in the Intel Storage Manager package on the Toshiba site.

If you don t have an external floppy drive you can use nLIte to create your own with these drivers installation disk.

  • HP Jet 8: 8 HP flow can't keep not fresh, takes place at 0% even when it is plugged

My HP flow 8 tablet has never held public office.  I leave it plugged in all night and the next day it is fully charged, but the charge only lasts 2 hours at the most, even if it is plugged I use it all the time.  He goes down to 0% and turns off.  I put aside for several hours to recharge.

I'm looking for another Tablet, but the flow 8 HP serves all my needs except that it only lasts 2 hours before going to 0% while I use it, even if it is plugged in all the time.  I really hope to solve the problem, rather than having to buy a new tablet.

    Any suggestions?

If you hold the low volume button while powering it will enter in the BIOS boot menu, you can press F2 to run diagnostics and there is a component for the battery test.  I think you are saying that the screen turns off after that two hours than even when the charger is plugged in, it does not seem that should happen.  If you have not already, try another charger.  If you plug the USB on another computer, which will allow to load also.  You can update the BIOS if you have not already too.

  • Re: Satellite a200. Resetting or freezing when power cord plugged

    Hey,.

Ive recently had my computer cleaned after that I had problems with it cutting cause of overheating. It allows to cut while loading Vista too I thought only a dust problem.
However after it has been cleaned professionally and reformat the computer he now always cut while I have the power supply or reductions on when changing the battery to the power source (works great with just battery).

I have narrowed down to a few options but I just want to see if anyone has useful comments / solutions for fixing.
    1. that I need to update my BIOS. That proves a problem such as this particular model of upgrading the BIOS satellite is not an option to burn to disk and requires a source of energy at the start of the desktop computer.
    2. that one of the sensors is broken and cause interruptions occur when the is not necessary
    3. There is something short circuit when the power source is implemented.

couple of addition notes what is happening:
I mean, by resetting the computer just completely stops and restarts ten seconds of the latter.
If I put the computer to sleep then wake him (even when using battery) it resets.
When the power supply is on and start, he usually cuts to the same place.

So any help is appreciated. Sorry if the lay out is hard to understand too, the laptop has so many questions it's hard to link them together. Update ill prob with more problems that I can remember other smaller
    Thank you. :)

    Hello

Have you tried to reinstall Windows using the Toshiba Recovery disk? Maybe this can help you solve the problem and it s worth a try.
    Check it!

Furthermore, I would normally say that you need to update the BIOS, but to update the necessary s BIOS you have the AC/DC is plugged in but in your case the laptop freezes.

So I would try it with factory settings (Toshiba Recovery disk) and if it doesn't work you should go to the authorized service provider nearest. Then, it seems to be a hardware malfunction and the BIOS update is not possible at the moment.

    Good luck!

  • Pavilion dv4: battery does not charge even when it is plugged (load plugged says), but doesn't move 19%

    Hello hp Support Forums.

Hardware specifications of the machine (if required):

Laptop model: HP Pavilion dv4 Notebook PC
    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium x 64
    CPU: Intel (r) Core i5 - 3210M @ 2.50 GHz (4 processors)
    RAM: 8192 MB RAM (4096 MB x 2) DDR3
Graphics card: Intel HD Graphics 4000 @ 1 696 MB
Audio: IDT High Definition Audio 16-bit
    HARD drive: 750 GB SAMSUNG Spinpoint M8 ST750LM022 HN-M750MBB

I own a laptop PC hp Pavilion dv4 laptop and this morning there was a sudden battery problem, I was playing Dota 2 and the Steam interface told me that the battery percentage was 12% (7 minutes from the end) then I moved and grabbed the chager, plugged into the outlet and plugged the charger in laptop a few seconds later the laptop turns off suddenly and won't restart, even if the charger is plugged there no light came from the load indicator.

A few minutes later do research for similar problems, there was a solution to remove the battery and the charger then press and hold power for 30 seconds and 3-5 minutes then return the battery but it did nothing.

After with some research, the indicator load on all of a sudden and when I start the laptop it was on 12 percent and billed not (there is no indicator that the charger is plugged) and turns off suddenly without warning.

Later, with a bit of panic and thought, I removed the battery and the charge light lit, which allows me to boot up the laptop and when Windows starts, I plugged it to the battery and it says: 19% (plugged in, load) so I track for a bit, but it didn't move at all, even when I changed the power of High Performance for HP recommended settings , window 19% available (plugged in, load) but it's just, it, don't move or anything like that.

EDIT: When I unplugged the charger to move my computer laptop and plugged in again, the indicator not lit and does not charge the battery thus forcing me to shut down or Hibernate, and remove the battery to the charge light.

Your battery is quite likely to be having no longer life left.

It is that if your laptop starts up without the battery, since the race, the battery test is not a viable option.

  • PC off even when it is plugged

Hello world! I recently bought a hp clubhouse and until las Thursday it worked very well. From there, so far, I had a few questions reagrding ac/battery from pc. So after tirelessly searching for solutions and try them, I find myself here because nothing has worked.

    * Plug:

    Microsoft windows vista home Premium

    version: 6.0.60001 service pack 1 build 6001

    HP dv900 (rp115ua #ABA) lodge

    phiscal installed memory: 2 GB

    available physical memory: 751 MB

    The version of the BIOS/date: Hewlett-Packard F.42 09/03/2009

    (is that enough to care?)

    * symptoms:
-at all times where the charger is connected around the power supply light is lit blue.
-laptop charge while it is off (power led turns on blue)
-When turned on at full load driving electricity will continue to be, sometimes switching OFF during the boot.
-l' icon in the taskbar battery be charged and plugged, but percentage continues to fall slowly.
-load of 70% or more, icon starts to report are: "plugged in, do not load", then alternates to: "plugged in, load.
-in charge of 30% or more, icon comletely says: "plugged in, not charging» Power led is not lit from this point.
-continues to fall to 0% and turned it off immediately.
-After having waited like 2 hours with the charger connected, turn on the computer and start, the icon indicates: "full" and the cycle starts again.

    * Things that I tried to solve the problem:
-tried to light without battery, lights just blinks and turns off immediately. Nothing is ever seen in the screen.
-tried to remove the battery while the pc is listening on desktop, pc immediately turns off.
-J' tried to measure voltage of the output bin and he reports to 18.9 ~ (whiich looks aproppiate since he supposed to get 18.5?)
-J' tried going back to system restore to a point where I don't have this problem in order to eliminate any possibility of software, has not changed anything.
-tried to uninstall the module of compliance in the Manager of peripherals and cheking for hardware changes.

    * notes
-J' saw that I can put the pc into sleep mode, and it charges until I start it back.
-the pc doesn't have a warranty because I bought it from a friend, and had it for 3 years now.

-i used the pc for like a week and it doesn't seem to have a problem. Ironically the day I paid the previuos owner started it with his problem-. -.

-i really thought it was the charger because it has no physical damage, and it would make sense that the charger is the culprit, but the expected voltage to be im ready to buy a new charger ok... but I don't want to buy it without being sure.

I really want to buy anything, without being sure it is to solve the problem.

Thank you! help would be apreciated

    Here is the Manual:

    Manual

I think that on the first series of the dv9000 that the power Jack is soldered to the motherboard, so there are no easily replaceable electrical outlet. Based on your description of the problem I'm about 90 to 95% sure that it is the motherboard. There are many services on the internet and eBay that will make the component on the motherboard level repairs. They have the equipment that I don't have and I'm sure that you don't have to test the individual circuits and circuits on the motherboard. If you can remove your motherboard and send to them, I've seen as low as $40-60 costs to repair and maybe $125-150 if you send the computer laptop everything.

It is an example of an eBay seller who did this work:

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/HP-laptop-motherboard-repair-DV2000-dv6000-DV9000-/230491379295?PT=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35aa5b565f

I don't know this guy and encourage you to do your own due diligence, but I don't know the governing body can be repaired for not a ton of money and you can get another year or two on the laptop. Good luck.

I have a problem with my screen stopping when I move my laptop or move the screen slightly. The computer does not turn off just the screen becomes black. I have to then hold the power button to turn off the computer.

Does anyone has any ideas or had this problem?

    Hi Geg,

You may notice this behavior on external monitor too?

For me, this looks like a hardware malfunction caused by internal display or just the cable. You should ask a technician for laptop help.

  • The battery charge falls even when it is plugged into the satellite series

I have a laptop satellite and although it recognizes the power adapter when it is connected and that the icon in the taskbar shows "load", the percentage of the battery charge seems down.

It is only while the laptop is turned on, because it does not charge the battery when it is turned off.
I didn't know that he used the power of the battery so that hip, so I'm puzzled by this not only why the battery doesn't seem to be in charge, but also why the battery seems to fall once the laptop doesn't have to use it anyway.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Hello

I saw this problem on my own laptop in the past. even if the laptop is charging, the battery seems to fall in charge.

This indicates that the battery life is coming to an end, there are a limited number of cycles of load for a battery before it dies.
Also when you have the computer is off fresh is always lost at a considerable pace, because the battery is good, "die."

You can't do anything on this issue except to buy a new replacement battery for your laptop computer to a repair center authorized Toshiba. This should answer your question.
