Windows Update and System Restore does not work after that the virus
I recently had a virus on my computer, when I finally had removed my windows update does not work, my system restore will restore to any previous point and my computer seems to generally work more slowly. Also groovemonitor seems still exists but is not really available to use, it runs in the process but is not available anywhere else. Any suggestions?
Hi TedDanson,
1. do you get an error message when you try to run the restore system or Windows updates?
I suggest you run a complete antivirus scan using Microsoft Safety Scanner to make sure that there is no virus infection:
I hope this helps.

XP will only start in safe mode and System Restore does not resolve the problem
Don't know not if this is related to the same reported people of BSOD problems after recent updates, but from Tuesday my computer does not start in normal mode. I can get it to boot in safe mode, however I tried to restore to several different restore points and nothing seems to solve the problem. Any suggestions?
Hello
Many people face this problem after the latest version of windows update on the XP machine. I would like to know where are the updates that have been installed on your computer Tuesday. You can view them from the Windows update history by examining it from the Windows update site.
In case, if the KB977165 has been installed then, take a look at this thread and check if this helps you boot normally to the desktop.
http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistawu/thread/73cea559-ebbd-4274-96bc-e292b69f2fd1If the update history shows the other updates in the history list, please let us know the xxxxxx KB (number) updates, so that we can try to help you the best.
We hope to hear from soon.

Text-Animation: my text is under the path and not on the path (for some reason any)
Hello
I use after effects CC (12.2.1) on Mac Book Pro El Capitan 2013.
I'm not able to put text on a path for animating text. It will always appear in the path. I asked different people and I never received a response, because it seems I'm the only person who has this problem. I don't need to write much more, because it's really as simple as that. My screenshot will show my dilemma and I have not made any changes to attributes.
Please take a look and hopefully help me with this.
(larger image here: http://postimg.org/image/x4xj8duqz/)
Anyway, I know now what happened. If you have a text in a bounding box, it aligns in the path. I discovered this quite by accident.
Thanks for the help.
See you soon.

Reset the password to spawn a return to download Flash player
Password not accepted.
WHAT should I do now?
Hi mrse69610920,
It is the OS, not Flash Player to ask for the password. Please read the FAQ what userid & password I need to install Flash Player?

System Restore does not not on windows vista & connection with HDMI to the TV problem
Hello, we had a problem with the restoration of the system, that we are on family vista premium, we continue to get the message there was an error unspeccified and system restore did not complete. We don't have a norton security, but use AVG professional. We tried several different restore points with the same result. Also maybe it's a coincidence but connect us quite often the PC via HDMI to the TV, it has always connected without problem, it has also stopped working so the reason we thought that system restore has been the answer. Any ideas would be received with gratitude thank you
Hello

my system restore does not work I get a screen white how fix this?
do not know why it does this
Do you mean your restore page of the system restore just says calendar system in the title bar and the calendar is just a blank white screen?
Looks like your file jscript.dll became somehow not registered so you can re-record it.
There are probably a few other things that do not work you know yet, so fix them all at once.
Re-registration of these DLLs is correct, even if they do not need renewal. You can also re-register the dll before the scans that can solve the problem, but the scans are always recommended.
Click Start, run, and in the box enter orders following one at a time. Click the OK button to execute each command one at a time.
regsvr32 jscript.dll
regsvr32 vbscript .dll
regsvr32 /i mshtml.dll (it's a look of slash)The last order for mshtml load the DLL but can also contain a harmless warning depending on your environment.
Check your system restore calendar now.
The symptom of the problem of fixing and fixing the problem are two different things.
System Restore is a frequent target of attacks by malicious software. If SR was working before and is now afflicted, run some scans and then fix any problems.
Remember that the system restore is not a time machine.
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
If sfc/scannow solves your problems, I'll send you (or your charitable organization preferred) $10 American.
Please note that I did have to send $10 to anyone, ever.

Original title:. Nothing works.
All my .exe files have been removed. as well as system32\rundll32.exe... How can they be retrieved when no file opens and the system restore will not work. I can't install a fixit program or run anything at all.
Safe mode?
Looks like you have a virus/trojan/worm infection pretty good...
Actually, even if you get executables run again - you can be (read as "will be") better off the coast of a new facility. Wipe and install media with your product key and other serial numbers and installation for other products media you own and restore your last recognized reliable backup for your files.

System Restore will not work
Hi FriendFriend,
1. did you of recent changes on the computer?
2. do you have security software installed on the computer?
3. you receive an error message when running the system restore?
I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state, and then try to clean boot.
It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State
