My sfc/scannow got stuck on checking 100% and then he said that he was unable to perform the requested operation. slow startup

Hello

I noticed a couple of days my laptop took a start-up and initialization time. its about 10 minutes. Once his work, it seems almost fine, sometimes a slow lttle with programs saying does not for a while and then they do it.

I tried to run a sfc/scannow twice and each time he's stuck at 100% full audit. Thus, the first time I have waited a long time, looked at the Task Manager and saw that it was inactive closed it. the second time I waited a long time and he said: windows resource protection could not perform the requested operation.

What should I do?

I try to reinstall windows 8 all together and start over.

Please help me!

Please answer with repair options and details on where to go to get there.

If safe mode can't complete, it can be continuous malware (run malwarebytes) so clean, you will probably have to run a repair installation.

Please download the free version of Malwarebytes.
    Update immediately.

    Hi rdoran,
You perform the steps from the administrator account?

To determine which files can be repaired by the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
    Step 1:

NOTE: When SFC is running, it records its actions in the C:\WINDOWS\LOGS\CBS\CBS. NEWSPAPER. You can find specific entries of SFC searching [SR] tags in the newspaper.

For how, see the SFC analysis details in the CBS. JOURNAL:

    * Open an elevated command prompt.

    * In the elevated command prompt, type findstr/c: "[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log > %userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt and press ENTER.

    * Close the elevated command prompt.

    * Click the sfcdetails.txt file just set your desktop to see the SFC scan details (those with the tags [SR]) to the CBS. NEWSPAPER.

    * You can safely delete the sfcdetails.txt file later if you wish.
Reply back with the details in the log file.

If it does not help to complete the scan, you can complete the steps below and check out them.

You're able to boot in safe mode ?

    Step 2:

For more information on how to log in to safe mode, see the following Microsoft article:

If you're able to boot in safe mode, you can perform a scan of the file system (CFS) auditor.

    Step 3:

In addition, you can connect to the command prompt and check the drive for errors, and check if that makes things more simple.

At the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

    Chkdsk /r

Note: If bad sectors are detected when running check disk utility and attempt recovery of bad sectors is verified during the verification of the drive for errors, data in the bad sector can be lost as they tried to recover bad sectors.

  • Parse error SFC "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation".

Original title: my computer is messed up, and I'm unable to fix

    (1) double click on files will open in a new window
    (2) not possible to delete several records
I tried to find and implement several solutions found on these forums for the 1st problem listed above. I tried to go into folder options and disable double click open files option and I tried to replace with original system files according to the http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-files/folders-open-in-new-window-despite-folder-option/5fba3897-7655-4068-8992-2d8b20063b3f and nothing has worked. I tried to run the command prompt in administrator mode to scan files using the command "sfc/scannow" and even that did not work, as when checking for 59%, it says "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation"
I tried to create new administrator user accounts and the problem persists.
I am also unable to delete some files. Internet Explorer would be my best and later example. I ran microsoft update, it installed IE10, and I was unable to start IE. I have not found in the list of uninstaller, so I tried to delete the files manually but Icould do not, that I needed approval from "TrustedInstaller". I played a bit with permissions and gave myself all permissions, with the exception of special permissions (which was grey), and then he said I needed the permission of 'Administrators' when I tried to delete the folder. Well, I'm on my administrator account, what the devil?
I ran some virus scans of Malwarebytes Anti-malware, Virus of Sophos, Microsoft Security Essentials, and 2013 Bitdefender removal tool and removed something taken before implementing ALL the solutions mentioned above attempts. Try a system restore after that these scans completed, I discovered that I had no restore point before the installation of the Microsoft fix - it (i.e. when I was first trying to tackle these questions)
Is there something I can do?

You could make a backup of the image to a DVD or disk.

  • sfc/scannow error message - "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation".

Recently, things are held in my computer after trying themes. I don't know what I fiddled with, but I do know something ExplorerFrame.dll in system32 and sysWOW64. I've tinkered with it to try to change my navigation settings. (The arrows in windows Explorer)  I don't know if that's the problem, but my main problem is when I try to save anything, or "save under" or try to save anything even in microsoft word or adobe reader, none of the folders in my navigation pane is there! It's just empty! I tried to solve this problem with sfc/scannow, but the message that I put in the title appears when it reaches 10%! I've tried everything literally! I tried running sfc/scannow offline, and it comes up with a message 'Protection of resources Windows could not start the repair service.' I also tried to check in my services to see if the Windows Module is manual in the startup type, and it is! The last thing I could think that I tried was the start in safe mode with command prompt, and it still does not. If anyone can help me, please! I've tried everything! * I forgot, I have try running CMD administrive rights, still won't work *.

Thank you for the help, but I figured it out by myself. I replaced the old version ExplorerFrame.dll in system32 and sysWOW64 folders to a new! I managed to do it by copying the correct files to another computer and replacing them with the 'old' I have fiddled. Thanks for your help!

  • I got a call from people claiming that there was a problem with the computer.

    Original title: scammed by PCWizards?

A few days ago I received a call from PC assistants saying they were Windows operating system support. They tell me that they have noticed that I had many requests from spam junk that was slowing down my computer. Unfortunately, as I had a big problem with my computer in time, I bit. I was very nervous about it at the time, but since I had so many problems with my computer and that you didn't know what to do, I fell prey to their plot. They talked to me in a 6 month contract for a fee of $99.00. After they have finished the maintenance on my computer, it worked very well, too gullible me thought: maybe they are legitimate.

At the end of the interview I googled their business and came across an article that has been exposed as the crooks and claims that Wizards PC installs a spyware sophisticated by giving them access to the victim's computer remotely.

To reassure myself, I decided to call using my Norton Security System. Their technician checked my computer and found a few things that their technology did not that he should have done; such that no detected restore points, the registry was not cleaned (35 detected registry errors) and it did not remove some software malware browers (toolbars).

On his recommendation, I recalled PC assistants. The first tech I talked didn't seem to know what he was doing, so I hung up with him and sent their support line and ask them to address these problems or I would withdraw the payment from my credit card. Almost immediately after sending the e-mail, another technician called me. Unknowingly, I had all ready filed a dispute with my credit card company. I intend to cancel the service, but I am still concerned by some spyware detected on my computer. What is the best way for me to handle this? How can I get authenic proof that I was definitely scammed and I should report it to the Internet Crime Center? Using my computer for a few basic daily functions, must not be so stressful!  Any constructive guidance would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello

    It's a scam.

Either these so-called "Microsoft" Tech companies want to sell you a worthless software, or remote access to your computer to try to steal your credit card and bank information and also achieve an identity theft on you.

You gave them remote access and if you do Internet banking, contact your bank, explain, and change passwords.

If you use your online credit card, cancel and get a new one issued to you.

And the only way that willl you know that you are free to them is to backup your data and do a clean install of your operating system.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

And Microsoft does not contact you unless YOU have made prior arrangements with them to do.
