  What I have... I currently have a renovated MBP 13 "retina, end 2012, 2.9 GHz, 8 GB to 128 GB of storage. I was especially pleased with this machine. I love the SSD and the quick start. The only regions that in deca for me were video compression and storage of physical disk speed. I currently have about 30 GB HD free space, but it's because I'm a Spartan and store essential files only on the MBP. Without a doubt, I want to double my storage on the following I buy (at least it will give it more leeway to work properly).

  What I do for a living... I am a writer and also a vlogger. I opted for the i7 chip because video compression is painful on the cell current, particularly H264. I use MS Word, Photoshop, Quicktime Pro and compression software to take videos and convert raw. MOV H264. So my core processing tasks, record audio/video and audio/video compression. I turn on photoshop work.

  What I would like to get...

  My Questions:

Usually, I have to record videos using the internal camera and then export it into a format more suitable for delivery. Same with the audio (except that I capture with a blue Yeti MIC). Basically, I want to just speed up export jobs and compression. To do this, I guess the i7 and turbo boost will shine?

Since I already have an i7 on my 2012 model, descending into the processor speed is not really sense (2.9-2.7). Nor do the same (2.9 to 2.9).   Although it is possible that the tool of disk cleanup described in the article linked by Azam K can help a little, the best way to solve the problems of "low disk space" is a combination of uninstall programs that you no longer want and buy and install a new hard drive.

  The cost of a new hard drive which is (probably) much more important than the one you have now is about $70.  It shouldn't take a knowledgeable person about more than an hour to copy all the information from your existing to the new drive and install the new drive in your computer.

  An alternative would be to buy an external hard drive (for example, this player from Western Digital 500 GB for $ 60) and copy all your photos on the external hard drive.  Then delete the pictures from your internal hard drive, but only if you are certain that the photos have been copied successfully.

  Because you don't know what programs are installed on your computer and that the installation of a new hard drive is working inside your computer, I suggest that you come in contact with your local Senior Center, senior service city, Community College, public library, or religious organization and inquire about technical support services volunteer (or inexpensive).

• 3/4 drive m250 space is inaccessible

  When I try to copy an MP3 file from my laptop on the M250, I get this error message:

  Windows Explorer shows the space available as this m250:

  Capacity: 1.90 GB
  493 MB used space
  Free space: 1.41 GB

  I experimented by first deleting files from the m250 and then repeated the attempt to copy from my laptop to the m250 a file of about the same size as the one I had just removed from the m250.  This time the copy process went normally.  But when I tried to copy a second file, I again got the same error as before.

  From that experience I concluded that, even if Windows Explorer shows 1.41 GB of free space on the m250, Windows Explorer copy function seems to find the m250 'disc' or 'full' with no more room for more files.

  Any ideas on how to access this 1.41 GB of storage space 'ghost' on the m250?

  Hibernation and system restore are features that help users to restore their system or avoid the loss of data, in a number of situations, such as low battery (hibernation), misapplication or other corruption machine installation (System Restore).   I have different tabs on the main page as Abc, Def, home, etc... On each page there are SQL queries based on a variable binding. This binding variable value is given by a selectonechoice component which is present above all the tabs. Now when I change the value in the tab component selectonechoice inside components fires and display the updated data. I'm releasing components integrated into the tabs using contextual events. Everything works fine, but when I changed the value of the component of selectonechoice all events fire and all the tabs of SQL queries are run and it takes so long for data update (a big performance issue). I thought that if I know the tab selected, I trigger the contextual events in this tab. Can someone help me how do I know the tab selected in webcenter spaces. I know in adf we have disclosureListener for help that we know of the selected tab. But in Webcenter spaces the sideBarItem (who resembles showDetailItem ADF) is not disclosureListener. How to overcome this problem? Can someone help me.

• I can never make a lot of space in my hard drive after back to the top

  I regularly save on a hard disk that is attached to Lightroom.  What I've noticed, is the amount of space that I have left is still declining.  After the backup, I used to have over 200 GB of the available MBP 768 GB retina, now, I rarely more than 100 GB.  At some point I'll have no space left at all.  I don't know that I'm doing things correctly.  I noticed that there are duplicate files when I export the. DNG my 645Z or. My A7RII ARW.  So I file raw in LR, the ARW and the .xmp that have been exported (I still name them).  My habit of the end to create more space on my hard drive is to find the .dng and .arw files in the finder, back up to an external hard drive and then remove them from my MBP.  I do not touch other files not named.  What I find good is that even with the hard drive attached, some files are displayed as missing picture.  I can remedy this with a cover of Time Machine, I did a time machine to the top until I backed up (something I always do) images in lightroom.

  Could someone tell me what I am doing wrong?  What is the best way to ensure that I have a lot of space?  I can't just buy new laptops all the time when I run out of space.  I save most of my images finished PSCC at the highest quality jpg, so the finished images that are not take total amount of space, but these are not archived on LR that I prefer to use the tag system which uses Mac.

  The best approach I've found is always import as of the segregation of records to your home. Make sure that these are backed up by time machine or another mechanism for backup and then if you are not actively using the images in a dated file more copy set in an external hard drive where you keep the same year and the date structure separated. Then in Lightroom, it is a simple case of right (or control), click the folder that you moved in the sidebar of library and select "update folder location" and that it points to the new location of the folder on the external drive. All your images must be accessible as long as external is attached. Now you can remove the folder from your internal hard drive and find space (don't forget to empty the trash).

  My main machine is a retina with a 256 GB drive and I easily maintain a 100 of 1000 image catalog Lightroom on it in addition to Photoshop and many other CC software I use (first for most). Most of my images and video life on a large RAID array, but my most recent images months living inside. Easily, you should be able to work with a 768 GB internal. You delete old backups of catalog in Lightroom? By default, Lightroom creates backups of the catalogues that makes every week or so next to the file catalog in a folder "Backups". You don't need to keep a large number of these backups autour. I usually keep only 2 or 3.

  Hi mightyvarun,

  It is an amazing new feature that I really like.  Believe me it's good for you.  Historically, VMs who lived on data warehouses that ran out of space would just BSoD in the case of Windows and for Linux, they would have a kernel panic or of the file system would be read only.  This happened only to virtual machines that have tried to generate I/O (i.e. write to disk).  Previously, the time it took for them to crash was purely depends on their tolerance for lack of disk i/o (configurable in the guest operating system).  The problem is that the old method was very incoherent and determine what virtual machines were actually affected was difficult as hard accident not all virtual machines.

  This new enhancement is called 'thin provision stun"which is enabled by default in the case of using VAAI with thin Provisioning data (at least on NetApp and EMC gear) warehouses.  It protects you from data corruption by suspending the VM.  Once you have cleared the free space or expanded the data store, you simply answer the Question of comments with "try again".  I generally put my data stores to grow automatically to protect myself from these situations, but sometimes it happens when a volume was not settled properly to grow automatically.

  After having eliminated the space, to answer the question and get virtual machines quickly turned, PowerCLI did a great job.

I tried several times to re - open Photoshop CC but within 2 seconds it crashes when loading. I then decided to upgrade to the 2014 version, update. He worked twice and now repeat the same problem, I have lived before update.   As you can already read in your crash report - the crash has little to do with Photoshop and everything to do with your Nik/Google SelectiveTool plugin.

  Disable this plugin and contact Nik/Google for an update that fixes bugs in this plugin.

• Problems of loss of space with ESX 3.5i (URGENT)

  Hi all

  I had a DELL power edge 2950 ESX 3.5i with a raid 5 installation disc and loaded with more than 500 GB of space.

  Got

  4 VM miss this topic with much question (dv01, vm02, vm03 and vm04).

  Sometimes the last week, I noticed my ESX froze on me and not answered.

  then I managed to restart and then noticed I had only 2.0 GB of free

  space on the data store, when a week before I have more

  200 GB free.

  So I browsed the data store and noticed all the VM has had a new *. VMDK

  files inside the folder of each VM. marked dv01 - 000001.vmdk.

  VM02 - 000001.vmdk etc... showing a different size and the original

  VM01.VMDK display of the original size.

  When I add all these new files 000001.vmdk, it represents the entire lost, I lost.

  I am

  out of options and do not know what I can do to stop this mess.

  Why all the VMS create all these additional disks and lose all my

  space. I loaded the last 3.5i ESX patch and that seems

  Help. I had to remove a VPS I barely use it just to keep the box

  living and now only have about a week or more, until the space is lost once again

  and down to the free ogb.

  You must create a world of pain! Whatever you do do not remove the basic disk - it is used for read access. All entries are in the delta (snapshot) until you commit (remove) the snapshot via the Snapshot Manager.

• Storage and snapshot space views

  Hi all

  Among the new features of vSphere is the tab "storage views."  Click on an object in vCenter (for example, a cluster) and then click on the tab "storage views."

  This tab includes useful information on the topic, including the amount of snapshot space which currently consumes each VM.  This is a great way to eyeball a cluster quickly and see what virtual machines are currently a snapshot.

  My question is not a big problem - more a curiosity.  When I look at the tab "Storage views" I can see all virtual machines running on this group.  None of my virtual machines currently have a snapshot.  However, the amount of snapshot displayed for each virtual computer space varies.  Even say 1.08 KB, others say 633 B etc.  About three quarters of my virtual machines have a very low value like this (1 KB or less) with the remaining quarter actually list 0 B.

  I would have thought that any virtual computer without a snapshot must be 0 b.

  As I said, this isn't a big problem - just a curiosity.  It is still pretty easy to tell who the virtual machines have a real snapshot that you can ignore all those containing 1 KB or less space snapshot.  I expect always all VM without a snapshot to show 0 B well and I consider it a (minor) bug.

  Does anyone else get these strange numbers?

  Did a little research on our environment and I think I know what you saw, we have a few shots in our environment but also show some VMs who have no snapshot with the display of 1.08 KB on the view of storage under use of snapshots, then I guess that its getting this information based on files located in the directory of the virtual machine. What I found to a specific VM has been there is a filed with an extension called .vmsd that contains the metadata about snapshots, also defined on VMwares Web site: http://www.vmware.com/support/ws5/doc/ws_learning_files_in_a_vm.html

  The size of the meta file:

  I also look at other virtual machines that are not instant and the size is more properly associated with it real snapshot deltas, although virtual machines without the clichés that the size of the .vmsd seems to fit with what is shown in the view of storage that you noted, these virtual machines have no snapshots. I think that if a virtual machine has snapshots at any given time and was afflicted with consolidation or remove, the .vmsd could not have been cleaned and then used as a benchmark as "thinking that it snapshots and uses the file size of the .vmsd.

  This hypothesis was fairly easy to test, what I did to remove Quentin.vmsd (the virtual machine has been turned off, may want to be careful when his online) and what you need to do, is not to update the display of storage, but go to the virtual abstract machine and do a refresh on the use of the storage. This will refresh the specific data store on which this VMs lived on and if you return to the storage view and put a refresh/update, you will notice that the size of the snapshot goes to 0bytes now, which is pending.

  So I think that explains which continues, perhaps a quirk or expected behavior. Yet once again, I agree that suits you just look for the use of delta< 1gb="" for="" real="" snapshots="" or="" you="" can="" always="" go="" in="" and="" clean="" up="" the="" .vmsd="" files="">

• No free space after deleting files - trouble with optimized storage?

  Hi, I have macos Sierra and I deleted many files to my main drive and also to my external hard drive (both to the Mac OS Extended format) in preparation for the boot camp. I also emptied the Recycle Bin, although there is much less space on the two disks that it should be and the majority of the space is obviously indicated under "purgeable". I thought it would not be a problem, because I assumed that the space would be released, if I move all of the files there and if I need for the new Windows partition. However, this assumption was false. I can't simply use storage that I released. I can't move there all the files and I can't create the partition from free space. What can I do with it? It's pretty frustrating... Thanks for the help!

  You must use the Bootcamp Assistant to create the Bootcamp partition.

  Please provide details on the total space and free space on your internal drive. Post screenshots of what you see in system-> storage information. In addition, select the drive in Finder-I press control and post a screenshot of the window read the information.
