  I never had this problem before. I worked on a project in Photoshop, and for some reason, he now works only in shades of gray.   Look at the Document tab at the top. RGB/8 should be the norm.  If you somehow typed 'q' on your keyboard, then it would read

  'Mask quick/8' and the color picker would not choose a color. Press q for back RGB.

  Always check the Document tab, it will clue you into what you have selected. He says "Layer 0, layer mask/8" If you have selected a layer mask.

  Finally you may have selected a color channel and it would read layer 0, blue/8.  Cmd/Ctrl 2 can go back you to RGB.

• Adobe first CC 2015 - Set Matte does not work correctly

  Validated during the Adobe Creative Jam in Las Vegas that this feature does not work in the latest version of Adobe first CC 2015.  We should be able to put a cache based on any channel (alpha, lum, etc.) target a video layer.  It worked correctly in previous versions.  It would be the same process in After Effects to the current layer to follow matte (alpha, luma, etc.) the top layer.

  Please advise when this will be fixed.  This affects several tasks frequently performed in publishing as creating custom transitions, title effects and more.  Probably will be considered a serious bug.

  It looks like to be corrected during the 9.2.0 (41) generation applied this morning.  Ran tests and it works as it is supposed here.

• Lightroom to photoshop panorama does not work properly please help!

  I do an online tutorial about editing a series of way milky way photos in lightroom and their fusion in a panorama in photoshop. I followed the instructions exactly as they are in the video, with the same settings, but when my panorama created layers (?) are not properly mixed. I don't know what I am doing wrong, or how to solve this problem, since I am quite new to photoshop!

  The Photomerge in Photoshop script, which is what you are citing here, can be divided into its essential components - Edit > Auto align first, then Auto Blend. Try this just to check if the basic features are there.

• CC 2015 HDR Lightroom does not work!

  I tested the merge to HDR feature in Lightroom CC 2015 using photos taken inside the rooms with windows that overlook a sunny outdoor space. HDR Efex Pro and Photomatix make the Interior of the rooms and the details of the exterior, as seen through the window. Using LR HDR window is just a big blast of climax. Other problems include:

  (1) not the possibility to adjust the level of compression of tone

  (2) ability to set output HDR in the develop module, because the highlights slider is zero and the cursor shadows limited is about 70%.

  (3) If you click the reset button in the develop module, you get an image to both the lights and the completely blown shadows instead of the image of your mapped you'd see in HDR Efex Pro or Photomatix.

  I'm amazed that Adobe would provide a feature that works so bad. With the images that I tried it really does not at all. What's the story?

  It works really well for me, but I deeply hate the HDR toning Photomatix and others like it in their settings by default so maybe I'm not the best judge of it ;-). The thing to remember is that what this function is to generate a pseudo raw file which has the raw data source files combined in a 32 bit file. Then use standard tools in Lightroom for tone. It essentially behaves like a raw file that simply covers a greater dynamic range than a single raw file. There is no new toning algorithms, just a way to generate raw files that have a greater dynamic range than you get with a single exposure. You could get a similar result before combining raw files in Photoshop HDR Pro and NOT by a toning and save the file to the 32-bit tiff format. This file behaves very similar in Lightroom, as dng files do Lightroom CC generates with the difference that the LR file has more editing latitude you can apply profiles for different cameras, having an absolute scale white balance, can do the same kind of brushing the settings of exposure as you can in a single raw file etc. I think it's well done so but indeed does not have compression intense tone you could get in a dedicated programme, like the toning tools do not differ that one thought.

  The message is clear (if you know what Power PC means, in other words). All G5 and many ancient used Mac made by Motorola and IBM called PowerPC processors. More recent that all Mac G5s use Intel processors.

  You talk to any OS, Mac, Windows, Linux, etc, the application that you are using must be written and compiled for the CPU and operating system, or it won't work.

  Your copy of Photoshop were written for older Mac using PowerPC applications and does not not on any Mac running Lion 10.7.x or later version. They ran under Snow Leopard 10.6.x because it was the last version of Mac OS X to include Rosetta, which is an emulator PowerPC that allowed these older apps to function, even though the Mac has an Intel processor.

  Your have several options.

  (1) buy a new version of Photoshop that runs natively under Leo.

  2) back to Snow Leopard.

  (3) purchase Server Snow Leopard from Apple ($20) and that run in a virtual machine as the free VirtualBox, VMware or Parallels. You can then run your PPC software in the virtual machine. It means that you were running an OS within an operating system and need a good amount of RAM installed to support the two well enough for your Mac is not slow to a crawl.

  PS - also, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash Catalyst, and Flash are all in my Applications folder. But I think they're just there because I did a try before you buy CS5 Adobe. Would this be the case? When I try to open applications, a box will appear asking for a serial number or an option to start using these applications on an experimental basis. I tried to put my purchase of CS5 serial number just in case it was accurate, and he says that's not a correct serial number. And my research indicates that these applications are not part of the standard package CS5. Are they only in my Applications folder because I used them once on a trial period?

• Problem with Photoshop CC does not work after update

  I downloaded and installed Photoshop CC yesterday and worked with it without any problems. This morning, the cloud said that there is an update

  So I installed which.

  Now, the program will open but it does not meet anything, I can't access any of the Menus or load an image. The only way I can close

  is the hit Control-Alt-Delete.

  What can I do to fix this?
