  I have not set up a connection between my computer dell/windows XP, Microsoft router and my Motorola modem. After reading the instructions for the router and set up like it says anything I've set up my computer say it is connected but is not really plugged.   I use Photo Story 3 for windows 7, personally and with my students.  We love it as it is so easy to use.  It has become corrupted on my laptop.  I uninstalled and went to Microsoft.com to reinstall.  Unfortunately, they have recently removed this download utility.  I don't know if trust downloads from other sites.  Please can someone advise me.

  It is a hardware problem with Dell, through my research I found that users encounter similar problem solved the problem by making changes to hard disk parameters in the BIOS.

  Important: Change BIOS (Basic input output system) /semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  Since the resolution requires the modification of the BIOS that is risky, I recommend you contact dell for more specialist on this question help

  Is there a program to load the disk or is it just copies of some images.  So just copies, then the disc will not 'load' because there is no program to run.  Insert the disc in the drive and click Start / computer / player Disck and right click it and select Explorer.  You should be able to see the folders and files with your photos.  You can or the disc appears to be blank or missing?

  If the problem is that by clicking on the file does not open a program to display it, and then confirm that your Vista machine has software installed to read the file type of the images (they may require that you get a different software to view what they are).

  If this isn't the problem, try to copy some files from the disc to your desktop computer and try to open them from there and see if that makes a difference.  If so, then there is a problem with the drive to recognize the types of files, and then by selecting the appropriate program.  You should maybe go to the web site of the manufacturer of the drive and download any driver, firmware and suitable for the machine AND your version of Vista.  Install it and see if that makes a difference.  Check out a few other discs and see if you have the same problem with them or if it's only this one disc.

  What type of disc is (CD, CD - R, CD - RW, DVD,...)?  Confirm that you can read stll the drive on the XP machine.  Do you get the error on each machine and if so what do say EXACTLY?

  Number of questions:

  How to transfer your files, photos and catalog to the new computer? I suppose that use you the recommended backup / restore process:

  Displacement of Adobe elements Organizer catalog by using the backup and restore | Photoshop and first Elements 6 or later version

  You see 85000 files count in the organizer or in your browser (explore / finder)?

  I also assume that your modified photos appear in 'version sets' in the Organizer?

  If so, there is a faster way to keep only the edited version.

  Note that if you have settings > iCloud > iCloud library enabled in your phone and if you have the menu Apple > System Preferences > iCloud > Photos - Options > iCloud library enabled in your Mac, all the photos you delete phone, the Mac, or directly on iCloud will be removed from all 3 places.   Are you referring to a flash drive?

  (1) Insert your Pen Drive\Flash drive on the USB (Universal Serial Bus) port on your Windows XP computer.

  (2) to highlight the Photos (you can use CTRL + a keys to select all photos in a folder) that you want to move or copy.

  (3) right click on the image to highlight and press send to > select your USB key (this action will copy the photos on your USB key)

  (4) after that you copied all your photos or any other file, unplug your USB and connect it to your Windows Vista-based computer.

  (5) on Windows Vista, click Start > hit computer > double click on your flash drive to open it.

  (6) copy all of your photos (CTRL + A) and then navigate to a location where you want to save your photos and paste them (right click and select Paste).
