My version of Firefox is 7.0.1. My bank allows only version 3.6. How do I adapt so I can do my banking online? I use a Mac.
You could install version 3.6 next to your current version. Just download the current language of http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all-older.html and then in the Setup program, change the installation location. You can just change the last part of the installation location (where it says Mozilla Firefox) for Mozilla Firefox2

First start by going to system-> startup disk preferences and select your startup disk. Sometimes after an update OS X startup disk becomes unselected for the firmware needs to address each possible boot device, including USB, SD card, DVD, network, etc... and wait before Timeout interface moves the next possible candidate.
After that, start in safe mode

Why Firefox has disabled the only version of Flash (10.1.53.64) my computer can use? (Mac PowerPC G5) Help!
Your computer hardware has arrived at the stage where most of the software needs resources your machine cannot provide because it's too old. You have a few choices.
- Get new hardware that can handle the latest software
- Use a different operating system, like Linux (which is free)
I rehabilitated an old G5 recently and it runs very well in the latest Firefox. I put Lubuntu on the machine instead the MacOS. Lubuntu (pronounced Loo-boon-two) is sort of a Ubuntu lite - a user-friendly version of Linux. There are many applications of your choice, and everything is free.
You can also use the Ubuntu greediest in resources and a little more user-friendly, also free, but you can be more pleased with the performance of Lubuntu instead.
The PowerPC, I did this on was one of the old blue Bondi ones. Firefox 8 had no problem to start on it at all and has all necessary plug-ins for video, audio, etc... I gave him a church and it works well for them.
You can download older versions of Firefox, but you'll just open to security problems if you do.
FYI: The Mac operating system is based on Linux.

In the latest versions of FireFox, there's a display option which allowed a change in the size of the fonts and objects on the screen temporarily on the fly. This seems to be missing from version 6. It was very useful and should be added to version 6.

When I open a document in my mail from GoDaddy that I accessed through Firefox (Mozilla), I have to open it; can do small; then expand until I can scroll down. Is it possible to change this? My computer is HP Envy. Thank you very much!
Hi LuckyLady,
Thank you for your question, I understand that you have to make the text smaller and then zoom in to enlarge until the web page allows to scroll.Scrolling preferences are in the Options Menu. However I also noticed that you are in an older version of Firefox. Please update to the latest version to see if the problem has been fixed in the latest version. Update Firefox to the latest version
Please post back with your results, it can help other users.

I don't like version 7. How can I go back to version 6?
I don't like version 7. How can I go back to version 6?
Downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first of all uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option 'remove my Firefox personal data '. If you select this option, it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
Then you can install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available to http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your favorite courses, passwords etc.
I recommend, to avoid possible problems with decommissioning, accessing your profile folder and delete the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Delete these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, check their compatibility and cancel the toolbar customizations.
For more information on how to find your profile folder, see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Profiles

I recently (about a month) downloaded the latest version of Firefox, and since then, the browser crashes almost everytime I open a new window in Mozilla browser. I've never had this problem in the past.
You use the default theme? If no, place you in default theme.
If this isn't a problem with a 3rd party theme, try Firefox SafeMode.
A way of solving problems, which disables most of the other modules.- You can open the Firefox 4.0 SafeMode pressing the SHIFT key when you use the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
- Or use the Help menu option, click restart with the disabled... modules while Firefox is running.
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the shortcut of Firefox (without the Shift key) to open it again.
If it's good in Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one.

Firefox asked me to upgrade my sound system & in the process, I have installed a Zombie and I can't uninstall it in Windows 7 via my control panel. I expected more of Firefox as a privacy feature!
Sorry to hear about this, you should always beware of the pop-ups - never open or install anything, unless it is on the official website. Firefox has built-in features (and extensions that you need to find and install) to protect your privacy and security, but all users must still be careful with their browsing habits. You can report malicious links to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center here: http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx
You can also report false web documents by clicking on:
- Help > report false Web, or

> Report false Web
Regarding your malware, please follow this guide:
After removing your malware, consider extensions such as Adblock Plus.

My Firefox just got an update and know that I don't know how to block images...
I regularly need to block images when I use Firefox, and until this morning, I was able to do it by putting it in the options. Now my firefox just updated and I can not find this option anywhere-_-'-could someone explain to me please how can I do it again?
Thank you!
Hello
Firefox used to have a feature to disable the loading of images, just like Internet Explorer had. However, the modernization of the web probably is this useless feature, because right now browse without images out of a mobile context is really unnecessary.
Despite this, I found an extension that allows you to block or show images on Web sites, you can use this feature again in a selective way. You can give it a try.

When firefox load it also load another tab for the search engine. How can I remove this where it will load only my start page?
You can check the setting of the home page and make sure that it doesn't have a leak ' |'.
Firefox supports several home pages separated by ' |' symbol.

Question
I installed Firefox (10) sync on my laptop instead of my desktop. How do I uninstall, so I can install on my main computer? In the only option of synchronization tools is "Synchronize now".Hi Rachel!
There is no need to uninstall anything, both devices will share information and that there are no 'master-slave' logic on Firefox Sync. All devices are identical.
Take a look at this article which explains how to configure your computers: How can I set up Sync on my computer?
The important part is to select "I already have an account" when you set up your second computer.
