My vista theme is a classic Windows.

After download and restarted my computer, my computer looks like a classic Windows. The window color and appearance just makes my Aero option screen empty. Restart the theme in the service option does not work. My system restore is not go back that far so... I really want my Vista back.

Have you tried the troubleshooting tool: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Troubleshoot-problems-with-Windows-Aero

  • Why my windows Vista processer became the classic windows processor?

My computer is 64-bit of Windows Vista. When using my computer, it changed randomly one day of vista taskbar and the classic model for the old. I tried to change the settings of vista, but even in doing so, it is classic. An example of what is happened is that I tried to play a computer game (Warcraft III), and I played on this computer before it changed. in any case, I'd just reinstalled today and under where it says installation it says "the game is not compatible with Windows NT. I then try to start the game and it made going to the loading screen then "not responding". Windows NT is the old processor of 1993, and I was wondering if my computer messed up and considering this isn't Vista more. If anyone has any ideas on what's exactly happened to my computer please let me know.

  • Downloaded and installed Windows updates. Running to find the modified theme and no clear Vista theme.

Can someone explain what happened? All the available themes are the current non-transparent theme, called 'Modified Theme' and the classic Windows theme.

It's really strange and really very boring, simply because I didn't ask for this.
Everything I have done differently was click on the button that says "downloads and installs updates before Shutting Down", in the usual area where is the sleep button.
Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hello

Microsoft gives sometimes you updates for the 3rd party hardware: graphics, network cards, etc.

You should only get the latest drivers for them to real hardware manufacturer's website, as Microsoft normally does nor those have the most recent drivers available as Microsoft relies of the 3rd party hardware Manufactuer to provide.

But unfortunately, the only way to know which is the update of the problem is to install them one by one, until you find the 'wrong' for your installation.

You can do a system restore to get back until it has been installed (which is NOT the best way to remove an update) or follow this method:

    'Remove an update'

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/remove-an-update

When you have found the issue of update of the list of updates which is presented > then right click on the update problem > select Hide update > and it will not be available to you once again

"How to hide or show an update of Windows Vista"

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/72491-Windows-Update.html

Here's how to chanage update settings, if you think it is necessary to:

"Understanding Windows Update and Extras in Windows Vista and Windows 7.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/Windows-Vista-updates-and-extras/

    Or the other of these two update settings will give you the chance to see what you want to install through Windows updates;

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Windows will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

But remember you normally only have problems with hardware 3rd party drivers. Other updates are to improve the Performance and security of your system

    See you soon.

  • How can I recover missing Windows Vista themes?

My operating system is vista Home premium, but I realized it lacked the themes except the classic windows theme. How can I get these themes in return?

There is no separate download for the themes that come with Vista.  If they are missing, the only way to recover is to do a repair/system upgrade using the Windows Vista Installation disc authentic (you own or that you can borrow from someone).  Here is the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html.  Although this will not affect your data, settings or programs, you should always back up your data before you start just be on the safe side. You can have a lot of updates to re - install (including all you need to remove service packs).  If the version of the system came with SP1 or SP2 preinstalled and the disc is an earlier version, then you will need to make a record of slipstream as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/151606-vista-sp1-slipstream-installation-dvd.html.

There are many other themes Vista free available online that you can download and use instead if you don't want to do the repaiir/upgrade or if you do not have access to a facility genuine Windows Vista disc and therefore cannot make the repair/upgrade.  Perhaps alternatives theee will be sufficient.  Here's a search for free Vista themes you can check and see if they will satisfy you: http://www.bing.com/search?q=Free%20Vista%20themes&mkt=en-us&FORM=TOOLBR&DI=6244&CE=14.0&CM=SearchWeb.

    I hope this helps.

  • My Vista theme, replaced by the classic theme of the Windows while it's self from one day to the next.

Last night, I used my computer and everything was fine. I used it up to this as 02:00, and everything was fine. When I got up at 8 this morning to get ready for work, I did my usual ritual (bathroom, breakfast, facebook, shower, leaves), and when I got to the part of facebook, I turned on my laptop and noticed he was in the classic view. I searched through every place I can think of (all settings for themes and personalization Control Panel) and found nothing. In particular, when I went to "Change theme" it only shows "Windows classic" as the only option. It bothers me because I hate the Windows Classic view. I mean, it does not affect the functionality of the computer, he looks really old and it's annoying that it cannot be corrected.

    Hello

The themes service may be having a problem and stopped, we will check:

    1. Windows key + R, in the Run dialog box type services.msc

    2. once in Services, find themes, double click it and make sure that it is set to Automatic and started. If this isn't the case, fix and start it.

    Kind regards

  • Question about the classic Vista theme

I liked the color of objects 3D VISTA THEME CLASSIC! So could you tell me-> COLOR of 3D OBJECTS settings: HUE, SAT, LUM, RED, GREEN, BLUE.

Control Panel > window color and appearance > open properties for more color options apperiance classic > advanced > POINT.

    Is this what you need?

  • Windows Vista looks like classic Windows

I changed the design of my laptop, so it would be better for a game, but when I started this morning, it looked like classic Windows. There is no available in themes and even vista theme by checking the box for best visual appearance, nothing has changed. Any help?

Use the Windows key + R, and then enter the following: services.msc

One of your services will appear as "Theme". Make sure that it is set to run automatically, and then restart the PC.

After a reboot, make sure the theme recurs.

  • Theme setting is stuck in classic windows.

IM using Windows Vista Home Basic, when I go in the theme settings, seems I don't have the option to go back to vista themes. After I turn it off once and classic used to improve performance. What should I do?

As previously validated by another contributor here, ignore this link and this suggestion.  It applies especially XP and not Vista.  Sorry to send you in the wrong direction, but it seemsd like such a good and appropriate article I missed the applicabilitily part.  I noted before the group policy option must be ignored (which is why you can't find gpedit.msc - it does not exist in Vista Basic), leaving the other two.  I checked for the other two and editing the registry does not apply with the relevant keys do not exist at this location under Vista (if they exist everywhere in Vista).  Which leaves just three option which we will address separately below (it does not apply to Vista as XP).  So, as mentioned, please ignore the article and again apologies for suggesting it without fully check it out first.  Fortunately, no harm done all as it did not work and no trouble.

A part is well worth a visit. Go to start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services / scroll to themes and double-click it to open it and make sure it is set to automatic and started.  If this is not the case, change it to automatic and start it. If you need to change, which can solve the problem.  If it is already started and automatic mode, then this isn't the problem.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

NOTE: Adding themes for Vista may give you more options - but it is also possible, you'll have the same problem with these additional themes that you have with the current (not being able to change their) because we have not yet determined the cause of this problem (unless one of the above procedures has since worked).  Yet, it is probably worth it because it's a much better solution than the one you are considering.

  • Windows Vista went to classic windows

Could someone help me solve the problem that windows vista went to classic windows?
I had a media file, and when I tried to open this file, windows vista is passed to windows classic. I tried to check the damage file by running sfc/scannow in CMD and it showed that the CBS.log newspaper is the cause of the error. Could you please tell me how to fix?

    Hello

Classic view gives Windows the look and behavior of earlier versions. To restore the default theme, try the following steps.
    1. open theme settings by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, appearance and personalization, customization and then clicking theme.
    2. under theme, select the theme in the drop-down list and click OK.

For more information, see this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Change-desktop-theme

    I hope this helps.

  • Window appearance settings went irreversible to classic windows!

So I just opened my laptop and saw I had the classic windows theme. I tried to go back to vista Basic or standard, but it keeps telling me that "the Visual styles could not be applied. I looked at some forums (seems to me that the problem is seen quite often), but I seem to be the only one where the theme reset in the management of the computer does not work. Whenever I'm trying to choose a vista theme, the preview is all black and it keeps giving me the same error message. Help someone? (I just did the "microsoft fix it' thingy for aero, and he told me that my version of vista does not support aero.) It's funny, it did until yesterday...)

If that's what you were doing and it did not help, here are my suggestions:

1 do a system restore. Choose your point of restoration a few days ago.

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

2 make a check of the file system. It's to look for corrupt files. He will try to fix it if it is found.
