Windows Defender won't turn on.
I don't know what happened, but my Windows Defender just turn off by itself. I can't activate it. The Windows Security Center always give me the same answer. I'm really frustrated here. Please help me!
What antivirus do you use? Windows Defender is not necessary if you use AVG, Microsoft Security Essentials, Norton or McAfee. These AV programs have their own antispyware component builtin and allows you to disable Windows Defender by design.

the basics of Microsoft security has its own version of windows defender

It of nothing to worry and is the default action, which is designed for them to do
If the above does not apply to your machine to read the information on the below link on how to disable the windows defender service in vista or make an autostart to enable
and here is the method to remove it from startup in vista

and if you need to change startup programs read this information on the other methods of doing it without using defender
using msconfig read this tutorial:
How to use MSCONFIG in Windows Vista
Here's how to use MSCONFIG in Windows Vista to disable some unnecessary programs that load automatically at startup
http://netsquirrel.com/Msconfig/msconfig_vista.html
and also try this FREE program Autoruns:

Windows defender won't turn on or update.
I have a toshiba satellite laptop computer running windows 7 Home premium. I am running Microsoft Security Essentials on my computer. It scans and says I need to download windows defender in offline mode to remove the virus completely. I have the Defender on my system, but it does not start. It is said that the version of defender is obsolete, but it wont let me update. I remove MSE, is there a fix?
MSE automatically stop Windows Defender because he has the same properties. If you have a virus and it does not remove MSE, WD will not.Download the free versions of these tools. First check the updates and then run a full scan with each. It will take a while.Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Defender won't turn on error 0x800705b4
You are running Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG, Norton or McAfee? If you run one of those, she didn't have Defender. It's good, not bad. Not only is there potential conflict, but there is no reason to have both; basically to have something very similar to the built-in Defender, and both running at a time will be your performance level and create the risk of problems that are contrary to the other.

not turning on laptop Windows Defender won't sleep extended chicony webcam is disconnected
I have 3 problems with my computer toshiba laptop satellite E105 S1402 which has Windows vista premium family and core 2 duo intel (P8400), 2.25 ghz, Ram 4.0.
. 1. I can not turn on Windows defender and the error message is 0x108106ba
2. my computer does not hibernate, and I have to manually turn off the laptop and if I forgot to turn it off before closing the upper part down to the coast.
Error message is windows have closed unexpectedly. There is no solution not available except for windows update, but MS windows Update center and the computer indicated that it is up-to-date.
3. I sent my computer before my warranty missed Toshiba to solve a problem and the webcam did not work since until recently, when I tried to use it. I have not noticed that the parameters of the webcam showed no upward on the computer screen as he went to the store. He is now out of warranty. Support software if we click on it just says to check the settings of the camera live webcam. I downloaded the update driver for the camera, but still the same message. I deleted the software and the live camera assistance software and reinstalled the driver updated, but still the same message.

Windows Defender (vista) cannot be turned on. Errow code is 0x800106ba. When I found this, I did the full scan by using the Microsoft Security Enssentials. There is no virus or error appears. What could be wrong? Thanks for any help.

I can't turn on Windows Defender, nor can I open it upwards. The error code that is displayed is 0x8800106ba. What does this code mean?
Hi, tonytiger34.
The usual solution to this error is to make sure that the service is automatic. Oferror message when you run Windows Defender: 'Error 0x800106ba Code' :
"To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- Set the Windows Defender service on Automatic rather than Manual or disabled . To do this, follow these steps:
- Click StartThe collapse of this image enlarge this image
type services in the Start Search box, and then clickServices in the programs list.
The collapse of this image enlarge this imageIf you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or clickcontinue .
- Double-click the Windows Defender service and then in the Startup type box, clickAutomatic .
- Click OK . »
- Click Start
If the automatic commissioning does not resolve the problem, try reinstalling Windows Defender. Note, however, if you have installed Microsoft Security Essentials, Windows Defender disabled installation because MSE includes anti-spyware protection.
Additional steps are available in the article referenced in the Knowledge Base. Please let us know how make you out.

I recently downloaded the free version of AVG v.9, which seems to work very well. However Windows Defender no longer seems work fine, normally this is an error message saying that it does not work and I have to manually start even if I set it to start automatically. Sometimes it does not start at all. Is it a problem because I use AVG and I have to run Windows defender, while running AVG?
I got appreciatte all boards.
Thanks J.
AVG and defender in the face of a conflict between them.
And even if you change Microsoft Security Essentials, it will turn off Defender, because it has its own integrated version of Defender.
