  I don't know how or when that happened, but today when I opened the whole start, the administration tools option menu was missing.  I went into the folder program Data\Microsoft\Windows\Start Démarrer\Programmes and the Administrative Tools folder was there with all its contents. Yet it does not appear when you click on the Start button.  Any ideas what the cause and healing can be?

• Customize the "Programs" list in the start menu which will be held in the way I want

  On the Start Menu, under the "All programs" list, I want to be able to organize where shortcuts are stored and how they are organized.  I found out how switch to Classic view and do the old-fashioned way.  That took me so far. To illustrate, I don't want the set of displayed utilities kitchen sink.  This is absurd.  So I created folders that go something like this: Office-graphic tools, security tools, tools of money, Web tools, tools, etc.  Then the first time I put for example, Adobe Reader 8 under Web tools. I put Norton under Tools-security, etc.  This means that I don't have to sort through a Visual equivalent of a pile of linen on the floor to find what I need.  It is logically. (When I was finished, I went back in the menu "Classic start", in the Vista Start menu).  It was working fine.

  But that is the problem.  Classics view let me do it once, but now that I've updated programs, like I did just for Adobe Reader 9, he puts the shortcut at the top of the list, and he won't let me not drag in the folder I want, or customize any other way.  (Why not?  Users should be able to easily organize their own computer screen. For me, customization is not just by clicking on a list about whether or not he should display something. "It is to logically organize the way you want).  When I return to the classic menu, it does not show the Adobe Reader 9, or some of the other utilties that have been added to the list of programs and to show up when I go to "All programs" but are not where when I return to the option of classic menu-customize-Advanced to customize folders.

  I know what you mean. Everyone has their own way of organizing and you should be able to logically group things where you want. Whose computer is anyway? There IS a way to organize your own stuff in Vista. If you right click on the button to start, then click on explore all users, it will open Windows Explorer in the (hidden) program data folder. Under Microsoft\Windows\Start Démarrer\Programmes you should see all the files and programs that you want to work with.

• Really strange behavior ("registry support" found)

  I'll try to be brief and clear: today, I was working from home with several open windows. Such a window is a Gchat window that I was chatting with someone. I was cleaning my keyboard with a cloth before that, but when I sat back on my computer, it was typing in the text window Gchat past. At the beginning it was a bit of gibberish, then it was backspaced and replaced by BABAR (something I would google at some point in the past). Immediately after, a window open to some site that lists famous quotes (whom I had probably a search for since a long time during the school year for a College paper). In addition, windows were which is clicked on in the background, as if someone was messing with my mouse.

• CD/dvd not dΘmarre automatically after Windows update 10

  After the Windows 10 update of cd and dvd are not more recognized. There is no Autostart upward. Nothing happens when I enter a disk in my dvd-rw-station. That used to work well before windows 10. Install VLC MediaPlayer something does not work because the dvd / cd doesn't even start.

  My husband used his laptop (bought new about 13 months) yesterday without any problem at all, but when he tried to start it today, it would not.

  If you can not boot from HDD, the usual use is on a disk external bootable in order to reach the guest of hard disk and run utilities such as checking the disc and the difficulty of starting.

  Perhaps, you can try an old technique, but is not a guarantee of work since your safe mode does not work.  the technique is immediately pressed the right shift key right after you select "normal mode" from the boot menu.  and now keep the SHIFT key until the Office of charges.  It could take up to 10 minutes when you use this method.

  But if the computer continues to restart, then you will certainly need to boot with a windows cd or run the shop or pull out the defective hard drive and install it into a working computer as slave in order to repair the file system.

  I used Lightroom through several versions and the Windows OS 3, but it is unable to start Windows 10 - after working for several weeks. It just seems to fail while initiating. I tried to restart, reinstall (CS6 and CC), signature of cloud and folder in and rename directories as recommended on the Adobe site. No joy. I'm running out of options. Any suggestions?

  Well, I think that somewhere, there should be information that it supports booting from LAN (PXE). But since this reqiures some heave stuff behind the LAN, it might be a little difficult to tell the whole story in the manual.

  Anyway, the way I am familiar with this is that you can start the machine from the LAN (or rather install the machine of the LAN) If you have an available RIS (Remote Installation Server). This isn't something that people generally have in their homes. What it takes is a Win2000 / XP or Win2003 server with active DHCP server. You will also need to prepare a special 'image' of the installation media (but there is a guide to help you with this in Win2000 server at least).
  After that, it should be fairly simple. Starting the machine of the LAN, get an IP address and by accepting to download the bootstrap of the server, login and then it really looks as if you dΘmarrez from a Windows Media.
  So in short - use it to Win2000/XP/2003 server and support for Windows of choice. Some LAN cables and possibly a switch/hub.

  If you can get your hands on a PC Card (16-bit)! CD Rom and can make a CD bootable, then that could be easier.

  Theoretical, you can also move your HARD drive to another PC and it is
  -install Windows on it

  or

  make 2 partitions and copy Windows Media to the second to the first bootable with f.ex. BACK/Win9X, bring it and install Windows on the first partition when the disc is in the 3490.

  But these 2 varaints gives 2 potential problms as they are complicated to solve:

  If you only install BACK/Win9X on the HARD drive you will get probably the problems to start the HARD drive when you put it in the 3490.

  If you install windows on the HARD disk, you may both get HARD drive boot problems and also get windows to load correctly due to differences in the chipsets.

  If you should start up using recovery disc then the recovery process would be started and the whole HARD disk may be formatted!

• Error loading operating system message is displayed after the partial installation of Windows XP

  Hello all, I was doing a clean install of Windows XP from the CD on my desktop PC.  I had reached the point where I had deleted the existing system partition and created a new system partition and had begun to load data from system to system on the CD when I accidentally stop the surge protector, shutting off the power to the computer, the screen of the monitor, etc.  After that I restored power, I turned on the PC without the XP installation CD in the CD/DVD drive.  The system posted successfully and start the CD line appeared IMMEDIATELY followed by the message "error loading operating system" on a new line.  I tried to start with the installation of XP in the drive disc, as well as with the "Ultimate Boot CD" in the player - the "Error loading operating system" message appeared in both cases.  Thanks for any help you can provide!

  The desktop PC has had a full legal work Windows XP with SP3, but I chose to reinstall from scratch, because I had problems with corrupted data in the Zone Alarm and card ATI graphics card software that caused random outages, lead to situations of re - start.  I couldn't fix the files for these 2 applications that I had this desktop PC in stock for more than 18 months and I couldn't remember the administrator password I had used.

  Once more, these error messages tell me you dΘmarrez the hard disk and no CD-ROM drive.  The message "NTLDR is missing" is read the boot sector, on most of the installations of Windows, the boot sector is usually the absolute sector 63 on the disc, using DiskProbe you will see the text of the message to the given sector.

  Your drive is perhaps at fault... or it may be absolutely nothing wrong with it!  You may need to press a key to boot from the CD, often you see a message like «Press any key to boot from CD...» "or some thing in this sense, maybe you're not a touch and the BIOS ignores the boot from CD-ROM and goes to the next boot device (hard drive).
