  I recently bought an Xbox 360. I also had a Windows Live\Games to windows live account for many years and wanted to link this to my account xbox live.   Try going to tools | Options in OE and set it as default value for it.  Also in Internet Explorer go to tools | Internet Options | Programs and set as default OE it as well, or click the reset web settings button, if it is present.

I changed the password several times, but when I try the new password, in that it doesn't let me, it gives an error that leads me to xbox live fill page.   I can't solve the problem to import mail from the export file.

  But I try to set up a new IMAP email account in the old computer and copy mail in the new e-mail account.

  Configure the IMAP email account in the new computer, then copy mail to e-mail records. Of course, after this work, I deleted the IMAP account.

• Windows Live will not open a "dial" new message window

  I have my Windows Live Mail related to my GMail account.  For a long time that I was able to click on a hyperlink to email address, such as those you find on Craigslist and a new window message new message via the software Windows Live Mail would open.  From there, I could write my message and send it, and she would put a copy in the sent items folder of my GMail account.  He won't do that now, when I click on the email address, it will open in a new tab in my browser (Google Chrome) and then I can compose and send from there.

  I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you should have to change your password to recover your gamertag. However, if you have forgotten your password, then that's a different story. Also you should be dealing with xbox live support instead of windows live because they are the one who can access your account. Try xboxlive.com then go support here. I see that you have someone call you.

• Windows live mail not stop 'download' of new messages.

  Hello, I am running windows 7 on a samsumg RC512. I use windows live mail to check the corporate e-mail. The e-mail account is a pop account. Any time that I start direct mail it will download new messages and send those coming out. Then it starts to 'download' an infinite number of new messages that actually do not exist. It does not overload the machine or anything like that. Just like that until I hit the stop button. Problem is that if I do not have this message that I need to send will not be delivered, because it keeps doing this download new message loop. I tried unistalling the AVG antivirus and backup program (11 Cobian), nothing works. The account settings are ok and I don't know what to do here. I appreciate anyhelp thanks!

  You can back up your messages and contacts before you uninstall / remove Windows Live Mail. Refer to the post of Raphael_S of this link.

  Method 1:
  I suggest you to set up your computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

  By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

• Transfer emails from outlook 2003 on xp to windows live on Windows 7

  Anyone know how to transfer old emails and contacts in outlook 2003 on xp computer to a new computer using windows live mail on windows 7.  Unit XP will not let me copy the PST to outlook, continued to give me 'path not found' or something like that.  Nothing on the new computer (windows 7) seems to be able to read pst file.

  I don't think that Windows Live Mail would be able to import data from the OL If OL has not been installed on Win7 computer.

  That said, Windows Update has nothing to do with the upgrade of Windows. You will find public support for Windows Live Mail in this discussion group: microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop
