My Windows Media Player 11 jumps randomly a song.

My Windows Media Player 11 follow no list in order. It jumps randomly a song. Redownloading didn't work, and "Fix It" recognizes no problem.

Hello

1 have. what fixit you tried?

2. this problem can occur because the Windows Media Player library database is corrupted.

Method 1:

To resolve this problem, delete the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:

1. exit Windows Media Player.
2. click on start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.
3. Select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.
Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
4. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

1. exit Windows Media Player.
2. click on start, run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.
3. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.
4. restart Windows Media Player.

Method 2:

Turn off shuffle option that changes random songs.

Ask the OP to press CTRL + H key on the keyboard after the opening of Windows Media Player and check if that helps resolve the issue.

  • Windows media player rating system / random play

I'm having a problem with my Windows media player and its rating system. After so much time to listen to all my music on random, he started playing some songs more frequently (based on evaluations of random playback) than others. (E.g. you have 100 songs in your music folder. You play all, but randomly. After a day or two of that, along with some songs will be raised by default 3 stars, while that others who have not been chosen at random so far not.) The random function is very fond of top rated music.  I want to know how to disable the rating system. Is there any other option than to go through my entire music collection and give a rating of 5 stars?

Unfortunately, I don't think that it is possible to disable the function of automatic scoring of WMP.

You can, however, create an auto playlist that excludes most recently played songs, by adding a condition to Date played last is previous to the x . Then, you can play this auto playlist instead of all music. For more information, search help WMP AutoPlaylist .

    Hello

What changes have been made to your computer before the problem?

I would like you to do the following.

    Step 1:

Open the Windows Media Player settings troubleshooting utility and check if this helps solve the problem.

    Step 2:

I also suggest you to reduce the speed of extraction of the parameters.

    Step 3:

If the above steps fails, then perform the clean boot procedure to check whether a third-party program installed on the computer is the origin of the problem. Clean boot helps eliminate conflicts of third party software.

  • Windows Media Player does not play the songs from the album in the correct order

Hiya, had this problem for as long as I can remember. When playing an album with Windows Media Player with Windows 7, it will play all the songs that start with 1 first so for example track 1 then etc. 11 then 12 then finally back to 2. Also happens if I put albums on sd/usb cards and play through my car stereo.

Do all titles should be renamed 01, 02, 03 etc?

And just to confirm that shuffle is inactive lol

It is possible that the tracks will be will play in the mess if you play from Windows Explorer (although I have been unable to reproduce this on my Windows 7 system). To avoid this, make sure that the titles are added to the WMP library and play from there.

If you want to keep playing the Explorer, you can indeed rename 01, 02, 03 etc, you suggested already yourself. You can also switch to the Details view and sort by track number by clicking on the column # .

  • Windows Media Player 12 does not all songs.

    Hey, guys!

I have a little problem. I have a total of 4 700 songs on my computer. The Windows media player 12, however, only we add 1 230 my library. I just had to launch a song directly from Windows Explorer, because it is not present in the Media Player Library. This song is located in the My Music folder, which is supposed to be identifiable my Media Player. It is also in the music library of Win7, but not in the Media Player library... Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Eugene.

m00cher, try the following steps to reset the media library:

    -Restart the PC.
-Go to start - run, type services.msc and press ENTER. In Services, locate the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service . If its status is started , double-click the service, and then click stop .
-Click Start, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft in the search field and press ENTER. This folder opens in Windows Explorer.
-In this folder, rename the folder Media Player as Old Media Player . If you do not see the folder, then it is probably hidden. Set Explorer to view the hidden files and folders and show protected system files.
-Launch WMP, your library will have been reset and will be rebuilt. Check if the problem persists.

I just found out that Windows Media Player does not recognize the songs, I recently downloaded from Wal-Mart music download Site.  The songs can be seen in the music library in a folder called 'Downloads' and I can open each song and he will play when double-clicked.  The problem is that I can't create a playlist containing the new songs and burn a copy of the reading list, because the songs are not listed in the Media Library Player any hot it is sorted (artist, Album, Genre, etc.).

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • My windows media player and dvd.

Hello I have a laptop with windows vista and my windows media player does not burn the songs or veiwing DVD and when I go to Itunes It does not burn the songs or audio books that I have. and I called around to see what it is I do. I'm trying not to re - store the laptop but if it comes down to it them I guess I have to. If anyone can help me find out why this happens thanks

    Hello

Please make all below even if you have done some before as it is often the set of operations which solves
    the question.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    Hope these helps.
