my wireless turn ON and OFF periodically again and again in T41

Hello

I use T41, winxp, when I turn on my wireless, it connects and after some time even once connect it means disconnection occurs periodically again and again.  '2100 3B card' is installed I think

ON, OFF, ON, OFF wireless

= excellent signal strength

Yes, in my case I put it channel 6,

  • defining the energy needs for Maximum performance on all options
  • in going "BIOS setup Utility" to-> (changing from Auto to Maximiz)
  • Maximum etc. CPU power management

fixed my problem, until the fact T41 now not disconnected itself. for 3 hours.

My card is «...» 2100 3 b..., ' it means that it supports 802.11 a, b.

for this the security settings in the AP should me done now settings are WEP?

the next thing is that when the security level is none in AP, Access Point (TP-LINK (TL-WA501G)). My T41 works smoothly without any ON, OFF or connect, disconnect.

  • Laptop MSi S6000 Windows 7 (64-bit) wireless problem. Wireless turns off after fashion "Eve" and unable to understand how to change the settings.

I own a notebook computer MSi S6000 Windows 7 (64-bit). My problem is that any time that my laptop's sleep mode (when I close the lid or after inactivity) wireless connection is cut off the coast and in some cases the wireless card is cut. I end up turning on the wireless card with the

Function key F8 and then have to reconnect with my wireless network.

I have tried a number of measures to address this problem including uncheck the button 'turn off this device to save power' in the properties and made sure that my laptop ALWAYS connects to the network by making the #1 on the priority list and checking the connection to this network even when it is not being broadcast.

Yet I still couldn't remedy this solution.

Please help if you can. I appreciate your time in advance... happy new 2011!

    Hello

It seems that the new router may not support multicast or was not configured correctly.

Networking Hello Zero Configuration Apple is the method of communication used by any Apple device and relies on IP multicast.

Some routers does not support multicast or maybe this option is disabled by default.

I wouyld recommend contacting the Technicolor gateway serice provider and check if the access point supports multicasting, or it may require updated firmware or the specific support configuration.

  • Tecra series fan turns on and off without stopping

    Hello

I have a Tecra A3 - 185 with processor 1.73 and 504 MB of RAM, which otherwise, I'm very happy for. The only problem (but important) is that the cooling fan constantly turns on and turns off. When the standby power system is turned on high-performance computer (when browsing, emailing or even doing nothing) active fan cooling for 25 seconds it turns off for 20 seconds, is it on again for another 25 seconds and so on.

There is no even when he uses 0% CPU. I tried to change the power settings so the processor speed is reduced to 3-6 (whatever that means) with some success, but it's not really dealing with the problem all together.

I had an another Toshiba before without any problems of this kind. Could someone tell me if it is supposed to be like this? (As I'm about to throw the computer out the window close-very annoying with this turn ups-thing) and if it is, give me some settings of the device which will take care of the problem of energy saving.

  • How do I turn on wireless turn off in the BIOS?

    Hello.

I'm totally new to more technical side of computers so please excuse me if I do not have much sense.

I just bought the Satellite P200 especially for an occasion of home business and there are several requirements that I am trying
to answer, but seem to be failing.
I presented a report of the laptop Belarc to society and they advised that in order to use this laptop that I
have my wireless turned off in my BIOS.

I have not the slightest idea what it means and what I have to do? I've read a few other subjects online which have lost some of
light, but I still do not know how to do and, if it is disabled does that mean I can use is any more?

Basically, I work online in my current line of work and use my laptop (with WiFi) for this but this other thing that I'm trying
getting in requires a disabled wireless network but I still want to use the wireless in my own time, is - it possible?

Thanks in advance for any help, that all the world can offer,

    Natalie.

I don't know if this feature can be disabled in the BIOS, in regards to my machine, you can't do that.

OK, understand your problem, or better, your company's security restrictions.
You can check if you can disable this feature by pressing F2 at startup to the top of your laptop. He enters the BIOS. There simply navigate a bit, if you can find something with disabling wlan.

But you could ask them if it would be ok. When you just turn off wlan using the hardware switch in the front of your machine.

To use wlan for private, you must activate it back, of course.

I have flashing lights and can't turn on or off.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi P a-t

I understand that you have lights flashing and the printer will not turn on or off.

I'd do a power reset to see if that will solve the problem. When the printer is still lit, disconnect the power cable to the back of the printer, if the printer has external power supply with a detachable power cord unplug for 15 seconds and reconnect it. Then, disconnect the power cable from the wall outlet. Wait 10 seconds and reconnect the power cable to the wall outlet first, then the back of the printer and turn on again.

Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector)

    Hello

Many systems have an internal WiFi devices power switch - some do not. You may need to check with
of your system and WiFi, their online documentation and their forums device manufacturer.

To be sure, it's not a part of the problem off the power to your Modem (and router if you use) and wait 3 minutes
then reverse - 1 Modem then router modem once up - computer restart.

    Actually, try updating your driver.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write
version - click the driver update (cannot do something that MS is far behind the pilots of certification). Then
Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • OptiPlex 790 turns on and off by itself randomly

It does not follow a pattern, just randomly, but it turns on or off as if the button is pressed.

I tried to remove all the wires, cleaned the whole PC and gently touch the power button or attempted to verify if shaking her PC will make the question (like a wire making short films, but this only makes the problem), but it keeps 'touch' power by itself (is not a forced shutdown, as Windows shuts down as when you press the power button).

I don't know how to remove the power button, and I'll try to turn on the PC and a little thread of the motherboard power button or delete during startup (Yes, he died while the BIOS is booting).

Thanks Lynda, I found as the power button (the cord or the plug, I'm not exactly) is the problem, I set up Windows and do nothing when it is pressed to keep it, but I have to unplug the power adapter for let not the PC turn itself, I will consider how to fix the button/wire/plug.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones retro lighting keyboard turn on and off by itself

I got a new Verizon BBTour today, I had no problem to transfer my BlackBerry Storm 9530. I typed my first email tonight and found that the backlight of the keyboard is disabled while I was typing, I was about to get up to turn on the light of the House, then light keyboard turn around himself, then a few seconds later to stop again. He was turning on and off itself.

Anyone have this problem? or does anyone know if there is a problem or that I need to set up somewhere? I checked the configuration on the screen/keyboard, this is exactly the same as the storm I. Help, please

    Joseph

The backlight on the keyboard is automatic and the sensitivity does not always fire when you would like to.  But, if you are in low light and keyboard backlight does not instantly, place your hand on the keyboard and he rip off and the light.  If the sensor captures a bit of light, albeit indirect, it turns off the backlight.

There is not currently of an option to change this behavior and it is battery.  It is not an irregular operation of the device.
