N200 bios flashes-> hard drive not found

I have a Lenovo 3000 N200 0769.
I downloaded the upgrade of the bios on the Lenovo site. The laptop stood awake for a few minutes after the launch and completion of lightning with explore does not, including the flash window is complete, normally closed.
When he started upward again, I got normal screens, finally windows XP startup screen showed, but as soon as the blue line arrived in the second or third place, the computer go to the black screen asking for a normal boot, safe mode or the configuration was last started. All these options have led to a blue error screen that was shown for only a half second that I couldn't even read the error number, then all reeboted again and I got stüch with the display of black selection again.
When I tried to repair windows XP CD (R key), he said that I have not installed hard drives. I got the same message when I tried to reinstall XP. The bios displays the installed drive. I also tried resetting the bios, no change. I found the article on the community of lenovo on how to reset the cmos, but it seemed that I had failed, either. Anyone alse said his drive Id changed to another thing and causet problem, but does not list how to fix that.
I don't know what else to do. I need the data on the laptop ASAP and I want to say.

Someone on FixYa said I need to remove the cmos battery and this is supposed to be under the keyboard. I removed the keyboard, but can't seem to find the battery. Is anyone please tell me where it is? I saw all the batteries in the world and I can not find even when it is... or maybe I have gist never seen one like this yet or what?

BIG MISTAKE! Version 3.03 of bios is not the best for this model, especially if only a few months (like mine), has made in my case 3.03 caused trouble on the events of interruption-recovery repeatedly crashes on the post. Actually recovered 3.05 bios original and questions solved all this. Later, I will put the download link. You don't need to worry about bsod, simply change the sata to ide on bios mode and windows will go up. (the provided vista can assume the two, xp requires a change of driver before)

  • Help format/reinstall, HARD drive not found

Dell Dimension 8400 my brother got a horse of Trojan/bot out there and I had to do a thorough cleaning due to not being able to locate the infection and the internet company kept cutting off the Internet.

I first tried the start of the disc and using disk relocation provided by Dell. He said "this part of the Setup program prepares Microsoft Windows XP on your computer. To set up Windows XP now, press ENTER. To repair a Win XP... Press R."

I chose the first option and get the message: "Setup has not found hard disk units installed on your computer." And the only option (F3) is to stop smoking.

I made a diagnosis of HD and it passes. Looking in the BIOS, it is recognised as disk 0 and also in the startup list.

I decided that maybe there was a lock on there so I used DBAN to run a DoD wipe/format and clean the drive. So now it has to be completely formatted. I also jumped into a boot disk and performed a fdisk, but he doesn't recognize and create a partition of 8 GB to 160 GB. Hmmm, something's not right.

Again, I'm trying to reinstall with reinstall drive and a full copy of XP that I have and you still get the "hard drive not found" error.

The FAQ does not seem to cover this issue, but I could easily looking in the wrong places. in any case, I want to just wipe the drive and reinstall. Any suggestions?

  • Inspiron 1545 - hard drive replacement, new drive SATA not found 'internal hard drive not found ".

    Hi all

I'm trying to install Win7 in an Inspiron 1545 with a new SATA hard drive that has been purchased. When I insert the disc, I get "Internal hard drive not found." I checked the drive does not appear in the BIOS, I already tried to reinstall the drive several times. In addition, I tried to load the chipset drivers, drivers SATA, etc. of the Dells, the Reader site still does not appear in the installation of the OS when starting on a DVD or in the bios.

I do not think that there is a problem with the new drive, I plugged the new drive in another Dell laptop model and it recognizes the drive in the BIOS, also I can always start on the previous in this laptop without problem hard drive when I plug it in.

Is there a specific driver, etc. should I use for the drive to be recognized or have other thoughts?

It's strange - either the new HDD has a rare compatibility with your embedded controller problem (I use a 500Gbyte in my 1545 no probs)) or it is a mechanical problem. I look at the physical dimensions and compare your original hdd by the new. Watch the video (even if it's on a 1525 (similar to a 1545) and a SSD hard drive)-go to 02:20

  • Hard drive not found - installing WXP on Equium P200

    Dear all

I have an Equium P200 with Vista. I decided to remove vista and install windows XP. I put the XP and it goes through a verification process, I guess. At the end of the audit and after I pressed the button to install XP, I get the message "hard drive not found on this computer. Help me with as I want to install XP, my laptop?

    Concerning
    REDA

The XP operating system could not find the HARD drive because you have not installed the Intel Matrix Storage Manager.
It is a SATA driver is needed t install the XP.

During the operating system installation process, you will need to press the F6 key to include the external USB FDD drive SATA driver.

It you don t have a USB FDD drive then nLite software could be a solution.

  • Hard drive not found error

    Hey everybody,

My HP Pavilion G6 - 1164sa is coming up with an error "Hard drive not found" at the start up. It also makes a clicking sound. have you tried another hard drive to an old laptop in its place and the works, but because it is not the correct drivers installed for this model most things do not work. Need a solution to this? can I order a new hard drive for hp with all the drivers installed?

Your drivers are posted on your support page > HERE

You can order a hard drive at HP, but it will be a hard drive Virgin, as well as a new hdd retail except at much higher prices. I would like to replace the hard drive with a > hdd retail.

If you plan to use recovery disks to reinstall Windows & software/drivers have one that is at least as large a capacity than the original, may be larger, but not smaller. If you have not written a set of recovery discs, you can usually order from HP for a small fee.

If you can read the Windows 25-character license key attached to the bottom of the laptop there is possibility to download an ISO file, burn it to DVD and install Windows. Then you need to download your drivers on the support site. (Any size hard disk could be used with this option)

  • Alienware x 51 try re-installing drive HARD drive not found

I have an Alienware x 51 which caused me a few problems. When I turn on my computer, it shows me a black screen with the following text: "drive hard internal not found to fix this problem, try reinstalling the drive. No bootable device. Strike F1 to retry boot, F2 to enter setup Menu, F5 to enter PSA"

F1 restarts and returns me to this screen

When I press F2 it sends me to the installation Menu, once if I hit the ESC key and exit without saving my computer starts and allows to connect me, etc.

I tried reinstalling the drive and finally hit a brick wall. Any thoughts?

    Hello

Have you tried to run the PSA test? If this isn't the case, please do so to confirm if you receive errors. Also check in Bios (to access the Bios, the tap button F2 when starting) in order to confirm if the drive is detected it.

  • Alienware X 51 error: internal hard drive not found...

    Hello

Since a few days I am getting an error on the screen when I start my computer. This is the error:

    Internal hard disk not found
to resolve this problem. try to reinstall the drive.
    No bootable device.

Strike F1 to retry boot. F2 to enter the Setup Menu. F5 enter PSA.

If I go into the PSA I'll get boot problems. It takes like half an hour. When it's over my computer will restart, and then boot normally I can connect and see bureablad etc. But when I shut down my pc and start it again the next morning it will start with the same error. and it happens every day.

Many people say that you must change the start Mode of inheritance in the UEFI. But the Boot Mode was already on the UEFI.

  • Satellite L500-246 - HARD drive not found in BIOS

    Good afternoon

My problem is that I have a Toshiba L500 - 246 to oblivion, put a password on Windows 7 and now, don't remember.

I decided to start over and delete the entire computer. I clean the fan, I put thermal paste to the processor and the graphics card and decided to delete all partitions and create one.
Want to boot from the DVD, I went into the BIOS to change the BOOT boot, and on the first screen, I get the following message: "HDD / SSD not installed '." I changed the settings in BIOS, but still the same.

When I enter the Windows 7 DVD, you read me well until the window that says he needs the control disk, and in this window, I don't see any disk. I tried with two SATA drives, and I get the same message.

Put his ear on the hard disk drive to start the laptop computer is the sound characteristic of light, but still do not leave anything in the BIOS.

Now, enter in the browser to find the driver, I get the following:

A X startup disk: 30 MB of capacity

The USB flash drive appears as drive me C:

And finally, I get the CD in D drive:

    Why could this be?
Why do I get the USB as a C drive?

    Thanks and greetings

    Your ad is really confusing.

First, it would be useful to know if the SSD or HARD disk drive is listed in the BIOS (BIOS first page)
If his list, the HARD drive is OK and follow along you with the installation of the system
If it is NOT listed, you need to replace the HARD drive

Lets assume, the HARD drive is OK and you have started the installation.
During the installation of Windows, you will be asked to add the SATA controller.

You will find on the page of the Toshiba UE driver the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver
This driver contains the SATA files that you add during the installation of Windows.

    Hope this helps

  • XC-600 of hard drive not found by BIOS

My XC-600 get an error 'no boot disk was detected or the drive failed' at startup. In BIOS boot options, under the 'hard drive priority"I can't find not all readers. I install win 10 USB that I can use to boot and, for example, to access command prompt. Cmd, I can still access my hard drives (two) and their content (I tried running some programs cmd etc.).

I recently added an SSD HD and made an installation clean victory 10 on the drive. Everything went well for a few days. Then I completely erased the 1 prior to disc (all mysterious partitions of it) to make a pure file storage. I also did a few random changes how to remove the old version of the OS to msconfig (https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/3gwaq6/two_volumes_on_startup_volume_6_and_volume_4_why/... I can't tell exactly after which change I rebooted the machine so that it has not (as described in the 1st paragraph), but something must have gone wrong and I doubt it would be material. I tried all combinations of drives and SATA ports and none of them work for that BIOS recognize the drives or the system would boot. I tested also change the setting of start secure in the BIOS without success.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Probably you have removed the EFI partition (if your BIOS is set to UEFI) or the MBR partition (if your BIOS is set to Legacy/launch MSC).

When you installed windows 10 on the SSD, it read the EFI partition on the 1 TB HARD drive and now the score disappeared.

try to run the startup repair under Advanced options with the 10 Windows installation media.

  • Dim 9200 does not start; hard drives not found

I have a Dimension 9200 with 4 GB of RAM and two Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250 GB hard drives that works well for 8 or 9 years.

However, he has recently stopped start and displays the following message:

Drive 0 not found: Serial ATA, SATA-0

Drive 1 not found: Serial ATA, SATA-1

Strike F1 key to continue, F2 to run the Setup utility.

In addition, on the homepage of DELL for this message to appear, the splash remains for about a minute after the progress bar reaches its full potential. Meanwhile, the SATA 0 drive emits a continuous clicking sound (something like an old mechanical clock every second ticking).

Diagnosis initially 2 and 3 remain on (failure possible floppy or hard drive according to the manual) until the machine beeps and moves out of the start page of Dell to the message above. Exactly at this place, diagnostic light fire 1, 2 and 3 (manual says another failure).

I reinstalled the two HDs that made no difference whatsoever.

I also removed the cables power and data from disk SATA-0 and rebooted. This time, no delay was observed when the splash page reaches the end of its race progress bar, no noise has been heard since the SATA-1 remaining drive but the same message above appeared once more, as did the same 1, 2 and 3 diagnostic lights

I also put drive SATA 1 on SATA 0 and connected the power and SATA-0 data cables. However, the behavior is still the same (note that I use the Grub bootloader and it is installed on SATA-0, then the other drive is not bootable).

I also started from a USB key containing the GParted partition manager. It starts fine, but the single disc he sees is the USB. Or the SATA drives are recognized. It is worrisome.

I bought a new Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 with 250 GB which should arrive later this week. However, I'm starting to think that the problem drive is not my only problem (and of course, that's what the 1,2 and 3 diagnostic lights would seem to indicate).

I should be grateful if you would for clues, opinions or suggestions.

    Thank you

    Paul

Have you tried to enter the bios Setup, and then press alt + F? Save/quit it can detect readers.

  • Re: Porege S100: HARD drive not found?

    Hello world

From the start of my laptop, it was suddenly unable to load anything. So I checked the bios, but he always saw that there was a 80 GB hard drive in my laptop. I restarted pressing 0 to load the recovery partition, but nothing happened. I resorted to a windows 98 CD layout so I could use the BACK, but he told me that it was not any hard drive to install anythign on! So I tried with an XP installation cd and I get the same message, it wasn't hard to install on drive.

I need to replace my hard drive?

I use a toshiba Portege S100 if it made a difference. I know that this example is using a RAID configuration so is possible that I need to install RAID drivers for xp or Windows may be able to find it?

Thanks in advance for your advice

    Danh

    > I know that this example is using a RAID configuration so is possible that I need to install RAID drivers for xp or Windows may be able to find it?
You are right. You must install the RAID driver during execution of the XP installation.

The RAID driver must be inculcated from an external USB FDD drive.
During the installation procedure, you will need to press the F6 key to implement the RAID driver.

The RAID driver can be downloaded from the page of European driver of Toshiba.
