Navigation in the adf part form workflow causes the validation of active in WebCenter

Experts,

We use WebCenter 11 g.  We created a workflow with a shape on the first page.  There are a few required fields on the form.  We have deployed the taskflow and it run within the WebCenter portal.  There are three tabs: "Home", "About Us" and "request for information".  The "request for information" tab of the workflow we have problems with.

Here's what's happening.  When we landed on the portal page, the home page tab is where we land.  So let's say that the user clicks on the 'Request information' tab, a form appears.  It is the form of the ADF.  On the form, we ask the name, email, phone, etc. Name and Email fields are required. We have a mailing and a reset button on the page of the form.  Assume that the user has clicked on this tab, realized that they did not want to provide information and wants to click on the Home tab.  When they click on the Home tab, in the form "Request for information" form validation fires and displays an error indicating to the user that the name and email address have not been provided.

It's very annoying and we would like some suggestions on how to overcome this problem.

Thank you.

Sam.

Have you tried to make all your links from the immediate tab

Try to change the immediate attribute to true, it should solve your problem!

    Hello

    We have some users who are frustrated with navigation in the planning forms in 11.1.2.3.  That's what I've noticed, and I would like to know if this is the way in which planning is supposed to work, or if we have bugs.  Our browser is IE 8, but we get the same behavior in Mozilla.

    1. we can use the arrow keys and move in all directions, but cannot change the cell, unless you click with the mouse.  In edit mode, we can not arrow out.

    2. we can tab from cell to cell, modify the data and tab on.  If we tab in a read-only column, we are blocked and cannot tab out.

    I don't like logging SRs for that sort of thing, but the support guys, I'm supposed to challenge such things.  It might be something wrong with our implementation.  Is this normal and EXPECTED?

    Start in Safe Mode , and then repair your hard disk and permissions:

    Fix the hard disk and permissions before Lion

    Boot from your OS X install disk. After the installer loads, choose your language and click on the button continue. When the menu bar appears select utility drive in the Utilities menu. After that the charges of THE select your entry from hard drive (mfgr. ID and car size) in the list on the left.  In the status area, you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is faulty or has failed. (State SMART is not reported on external drives Firewire or USB). If the drive is "verified", then select your OS X volume in the list on the left (subentries under the entry for the road), click the first aid tab, then click the repair disk button. If THE reports any errors that have been corrected, and then run repair disk again until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, click repair permissions. Wait until the operation is complete, then exit FROM and return to the installer.

Wait until the operation is complete, then exit FROM and return to the main menu. Select restart from the Apple menu.

    Restart your computer normally and see if it helped at all. Then do little maintenance:

    For disk utility can't handle situations, the best third party is Disk Warriorutility;  Fixed DW only for problems with the disk directory, but most disk problems are caused by the corruption of directory; Warrior drive 4.x is now compatible with Intel Mac.

    Note: Alsoft ships DW on a bootable DVD that will boot Mac running Snow Leopard or earlier. He cannot start Mac that came with Lion or later preinstalled, however, DW will work on these models.

    Suggestions for OS X maintenance

    OS X performs certain maintenance functions that are supposed to take place on a daily, weekly, or monthly period. Maintenance scripts that are run at the beginning AM only if the computer is turned on 24/7 (no sleep). If this isn't the case, then a great solution is to download and install a shareware like Macaroni, JAW PseudoAnacronor Anacron utility that will automate the maintenance regardless of whether activity if the computer is off or asleep.  Dependence on third-party utilities to run periodic maintenance scripts has been significantly reduced since Tiger.  These utilities have little or no functionality with Snow Leopard or later version, and must not be installed.

    OS X automatically defrags files smaller than 20 MB in size, so unless you have a disk full of very large files it little need to defragment the hard drive.

    Under no circumstances should you install operating MacPaw or ZeoBit software (CleanMyMac/CleanMyDrive or Mac Keeper, respectively.) You don't need special software to keep your computer.

    Difficulty a few pop ups browser that supported Safari

    Common pop - ups include a message saying that the Government has taken over your computer and you pay release (often called "Moneypak"), or a false message saying that your computer has been infected and you need to call a number of tech support (sometimes claiming to be Apple) to get it to be resolved. First of all, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and that your computer has not been assigned. This "hack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so don't pay not money, call number, or provide personal information. This article will give an overview of the solution to remove the pop-up window.

    Quit Safari

    Usually, these pop-ups will not go by clicking 'OK' or 'Cancel '. In addition, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in grey, including the option to leave Safari. You'll probably force quit Safari. To do this, press command + option + ESC, select Safari, press on force quit.

    Relaunch Safari

    If you restart Safari, the page will reopen. To avoid this, hold the "Shift" key when opening Safari. This will prevent windows since the last time that Safari was running since the reopening.

    It will not work in all cases. The SHIFT key must be maintained at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window is displayed again. In these circumstances, after force quit Safari, turn off Wi - Fi or disconnect Ethernet, depending on how you connect to the Internet. Then restart Safari normally. He'll try to reload the malicious Web page, but without a connection, it will not be able to. Leave this page by entering a different URL, i.e. www.apple.com and try to load it. Now you can reconnect to the Internet and the page that you entered is displayed rather than the malicious.

    Troubleshooting Applications

    I recommend that you download a utility such as TinkerTool System, OnyX, Mavericks Cache Cleaneror hiding a Cocktail that you can use to delete the former newspapers and archives, cleaning, etc. Corrupted cache, logs or temporary files can slow down the application or OS X crashes and panics of the kernel.

    If you have leopard snow or leopard, then for similar repairs install Applejackfreeware utility.  If you do not start in OS X, you can boot into single-user mode , where you can run Applejack to make a set of routines for repair and maintenance of the command line.  Note that it takes 1.5 AppleJack for Leopard. AppleJack 1.6 is compatible with Snow Leopard. Applejack does not work with Lion and later versions.

    Basic backup

    For some people, Time Machine will be more than enough. Time Machine is part of Mac OS X. There are two components:

    1. a panel of Time Machine preferences as part of the system of preferences;

    2. a request for Time Machine, located in the Applications folder. It's

    used to manage backups and restore backups. Time Machine

    requires a backup drive that is at least twice the capacity of the

    drive being backed up.

    You can also get an external drive at least equal to the size hard disk internal and make (and maintain) a bootable clone/backup. You can make a bootable clone using the disk utility's restore option. You can also create and maintain clones with good backup software. My personal recommendations are (the order is not significant):

    1 Carbon Copy clone

    2. get backup

    3 already seen

    4 superDuper!

    5. Synk Pro

    6. Tri-Backup

    Visit The FAQ XLab and read the FAQ on the backup and restore.  Also read How to back up and restore your files. For using Time Machine, visit FAQ Time Machine of Pondini for help with all this time Machine.

    Additional tips

    Make sure you have a sufficient amount of RAM installed for the number of applications you run simultaneously. Make sure to leave a minimum of 10% of the capacity of the hard disk as free space.

    Add more RAM. If your computer less than 2 GB of RAM and you use OS X Leopard or later, then you can do it with more RAM. Snow Leopard and Lion works much better with 4 GB of RAM that is their system. Most concurrent applications, that you tend to use the more RAM you should have.

    Always have at least 15 GB, or 10% of the capacity of your hard disk as free space, the largest. OS X frequently accesses your hard disk, so offering enough free space will keep things slow down.

    Check for applications that may be hogging the CPU:

    Before Mavericks

    Open the activity monitor in the Utilities folder.  Select all processes in the drop process .  Click the % CPU column heading twice to display in descending order.  If find you a process that uses a large amount of time processor (> = 70,) then select the process, and then click the quit icon in the toolbar.  Click the force quit button to kill the process.  See if that helps.  Don't forget to mention the name of the runaway process, so you can find the cause of the problem.

    Mavericks and later versions

    Open the activity monitor in the Utilities folder.  Select all processes in the menu display .  Click the CPU tab in the toolbar.

    This problem occurs often because of a corrupted cache or the preferences file or an attempt to write in a corrupted log file.

  • Navigation from the column data

    JDev ADF BC 11.1.1.5.0

    Is it possible to provide a navigation of the column?
    For example, I have a column named "Accounts" to my table and there a few records. Each record should appear as a hyperlink that will lead me to a page where I can see the account information in detail.

    Suppose you already have an af:table with the data in it. Change the af: inputText / af:outputText for an af:commandLink account number - you can do it in source view (you will need to remove all properties that are not valid for af:commandLink). Set the Action property to point to a rule of control flow that takes you to the detail page. (If you were on 11.1.2.x, you must apply the hotfix that Frank details in the first part of the post that I linked you - this hotfix verifies that by clicking on the order link allows the current record).

    It is literally all you should have to do.

  • Ignore the validation of attribute in adf levels

    Hello, I use JDeveloper 12.1.3.

    I have a simple question.

    How to ignore the validation of the attribute levels in the adf, when I pass between tabs?

    I can't use immediate = true, because then I wouldn't be able to commit the changes.

    Thank you all.

    Concerning

    You can try to make the the showRequired = true required = false and carry them out manually, validation in your beans for each of the fields that you want to be mandatory.

    I had a problem similar to yours. I think (and I said) that it is not a good practice for autoSubmit = "true" in many areas. You even not the disadvantage that if you try to change the fields too fast that they be emptied... As well, the view is suspended for a second while submitting. This should be a no-no for forms with several fields.

    Jdev 11.1.1.7

    I'm trying to implement the validation of email email and re entry in the form of the adf.

    My approach was carried out on the vcl 2nd e-mail box that I wrote the following:

    FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance ();

    "String userEmail = this.input_userEmail.getValue ()! = null? this.input_userEmail.getValue () m:System.NET.SocketAddress.ToString ():" ";" "

    "String reenterUserEmail = this.input_userReenterEmail.getValue ()! = null? this.input_userReenterEmail.getValue () m:System.NET.SocketAddress.ToString ():" ";" "

    {if (userEmail.Equals (reenterUserEmail))}

    input_userReenterEmail.setInlineStyle("");

    input_userEmail.setInlineStyle("");

    } else {}

    input_userReenterEmail.setInlineStyle("background-color:Red;");

    input_userEmail.setInlineStyle ("color: Red");

    facesContext.addMessage ("NoRecordsFound", new FacesMessage (FacesMessage.SEVERITY_INFO,

    "Mails entered do not match."

    "Re enter Email'));

    facesContext.renderResponse ();

    }

    I have 2 questions here:

    1. If the emails do not match, I need to set the focus to the input of the 2nd box rather than the form component, how can I achieve that?

    2 input_userReenterEmail.setInlineStyle("background-color:Red;"); does not work (I need set the red background color), how this can be done?

    Jean Bayard

    Michelle,

    I have good news. I was able to reproduce, locate and bypass your problem.

    The problem is the following:

    works very well in JSF pages, but it does not work in JSF fragments (which are part of a glued TaskFlow, what is included in a page parent as a ) because ADF when executing a miscalculation of the value of of 'for' - attribute when it is part of a region BTF. For example, suppose that the has id = "it1" (as it is in your JSF fragment above) and this TaskFlow defined in included as a with id = "r1" in a parent page. Then the internal ID of the input text field will be 'r1:0:it1', but at runtime, the framework will set the value of 'for' - attribute to the 'r1:it1' (which is wrong) instead of "r1:0:it1" (which is the correct value).

    You can work around this bug by specifying:

    Instead of

    in your code above. In this way the framework will make up the correct value for the 'for' - attribute at run time and will not work correctly. Don't worry the caveat against a non-existent ID in the JDev source code editor.

    You must do this trick only in fragments JSF and you should not do in JSF pages.

    I think I see your problem. Except if you their so-called to do otherwise, mx:Validators will validate automatically each time that the "trigger" was even sent to the target component, this source is linked to. Since you do not specify a triggerEvent validators are tuned to the default event (i.e. for a TextInput "valueCommit" If memories are good) and validate this field whenever this event occurs. In your case, I think the culprit is this call to 'clearFields() '. This method is changing the text in the fields and causing thus the validation runs again on the now empty TextInputs (and therefore invalid).

    The easiest solution if you want to only be triggered manually your validation must set the property to "triggerEvent' of your validators to an empty string. Stop them from trigger automatically when the text is changed.

    • Other sites such as microsoft.com and bbc.co.uk load very well.

    We found the source of the problem - Silverstripe generates an incorrect HTTP header. The content-type header has the value of the character in quotes. For example,.

    content-type: text/xml; charset = "utf-8".

    is used when it should be

    content-type: text/xml; charset = utf-8

    Most modern browsers are lenient and allow the incorrect header, but BrowserLab was triggered upward by quotes. This problem surfaced recently, when BrowserLab added the ability to follow links on the screenshots. This feature we have to read and analyze the pages and you try to read a page with an unknown character caused an error to report.

    We have implemented a solution, which is to strip the quotes from the charset value. We anticipate that the fix will be deployed before the end of July.

    The problem can also be fixed if Silverstripe remove quotation marks from the content-type header.

  • Possible to ignore certain datagrid cells when navigating with the keyboard?

    Hello

    I have some data entry forms based on a datagrid control.  Users typically use the keyboard navigation (tab, enter, etc.) when you fill in the data in the cells.  According to various criteria, some cells may not need to be filled.   I don't competely disable them... just make them ignored in the navigation to the default keyboard.

    In other words, I want to make these fields 'disabled' with a silver background (no problem here) and I want to that they be ignored when navigating by keyboard.  However, I want them to be able to enter data into these fields if they specifically click on it with the mouse (essentially a substitution).

    Make sense?  This sounds like a requirement unusual and potentially difficult to implement.  Hoping someone here can tell me how it's going to be easy

    Any suggestions it if possible and maybe some tips?

    Thank you!

    For the regular DG, you are supposed to call preventDefault on ITEM_EDIT_BEGINNING and editedItemPosition to a new position of the cell.  I think that works for ADG, but I could be wrong.

    It is not a problem with the font-size rules.

    See line 102 of the http://www.funfactorypartyrentals.com/ffpr.css

    It's the font-size-adjust rule.

  • How to create navigation of the action bar on the right side.

    Hello

    Is there anyway to create the navigation of the action bar on the right side. I see a camera application can use it.

    MAZ

    I don't think that there are standard control that does this.

    You can create a container with DispositionAbsolue and place it outside the screen. LayoutUpdateHandler attached to the main container to obtain its dimensions. The second container "abscissa" can be set to the width of the main container, so it will be off the screen. Visibility of the initially fixed false container.

    When the button is pressed, show the container and drag it into the screen with animation.

    The container can contain any content, for example ListView with required components.

    It's just an idea, I have not implemented this specific scenario.
