NB200: wrong display at startup resolution

Hello everyone

I got a netbook NB200 and a couple of weeks, he began to start the screen resolution 1024 x 768, instead of its 1024 x 600. I searched these forums and I couldn't find anything about this

The Toshiba logo at boot time is not centered on the screen and, once the Windows desktop is loaded, the bar of start button does not appear. (it's like windows, a screen of 1024 x 768 on a screen of 1024 x 600 pixels (168 'lines' are ' lost'). If you connect an external monitor, it seems ok... Driver videos are updated (althiugh the problem appears during startup, before windows is started)

I checked the settings of the BIOS on the screen, but I seens that there is only one option (about starting only with LCD or auto). I also upgraded BIOS fromToshiba website.

No idea on how to solve this problem will be welcomed

Thank you very much for your time

Hello

It of certainly not a problem of driver display if you see evil of the resolution in the BIOS too.
Try to configure the BIOS to defaults (F9) and save the changes before you access the BIOS.
In addition, try this:
Shut down the laptop and unplug the AC adapter and the battery.
Leave the laptop disconnected for a while (2-3 hours). Then press the power button / stop along 30 sec. Then connect the battery and AC adapter and turn on the device.

Check if this help.

  • NB200 - can't change screen resolution

Hi, I have a strange problem with a netbook NB200.

The screen resolution is set to 1024 x 768 with the lowest resolution to be together is 800 x 600 as a result no parameter displays correctly on the netbook screen and the Start button, taskbar, etc are missing.

The native resolution for this machine must be 1024 x 600 - however, it is not available in the list of troubleshooting steps that can be chosen.

    Here are the steps that have been taken so far;

    (1) to restore the machine to resolution of parameters - the parameters of origin of wiping machine - factory defaults to 1024 x 768
    (2) load the latest version of the BIOS just to see if the BIOS had an impact - don't think it would, but I tried anyway.
    (3) the adapter graphic to uninstall and reinstall the Toshiba europe site (intel 945 mobile (r) express chipset)
Graphic adapter installed okay more low resolution is 800 x 600 and 1024 x 600 option is not available.
    4) noted that the default monitor is still listed as "digital flat panel 1024 x 768".

At present, the only way to use it is with an external monitor.

For now it doesn't help as a netbook - someone has any ideas to try because I am running out of ideas with this one.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi foxpc123,

All that you have done is correct and you have tried everything, but if the factory settings doesn't help reset and screen resolution is automatically 1024 x 768, again, he must a serious malfunction of equipment. I can imagine something with the graphics card itself is not okay and so the monitor properties can t be detected correctly.

You need to contact a service provider authorized in your country. Guys can check the equipment and replace it. I put t know how old is your notebook and if it s under warranty, but the warranty repair material is free. This means that technicians can fix that for free, but if not, you will have to pay for the repair.

So the easiest way is you contact with the guys and talk to them. I m that you can clarify this with the technicians. ;)

  • Satellite Pro A300-28R - Windows startup with a wrong display resolution

OK so I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro A300-28R with Windows 7 64 bit and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 graphics card.

Recently, I have connected my laptop to a TV using the S-video connection. It worked well. The problem is that since then, and every time I start my laptop Windows starts with S-video of 600 x 800 display resolution.

I tried changing the settings in the Panel and using the ATI CCC, having once selected and applied these settings, but whenever Windows starts now it starts with the above display resolution.

As a result, I've also uninstalled and reinstalled my display driver both package Toshiba value added but the same problem persists. I searched with Google about this problem and have not been able to find something useful.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi dude

How did you produce the video signal?
Did you choose Office expanded or all simply the option external monitor by using the FN + F5?

I think that you need to press once more the Fn + F5 and should switch to a view, internal laptop display.

Please check if this could help you!

  • Wrong display resolution

    Hello

I came across a confusing problem () probably bug) with a resolution PDF file in Adobe Photoshop, saved as PDF and open / imported in Adobe Illustrator CC.

PDF file opening in Adobe Photoshop with a resolution of 600 dpi. However, if I opened / import it in Adobe Illustrator, Illustrator tell me that is the resolution of 300 IPR.
More can be seen video here: http://screenr.com/p6dN

    Concerning

    Ales Ulrych

Probably this file was saved in .pdf in Photoshop while subsampling has been activated in the Save to PDF options.

At the same time preserve it Photoshop editable option was also activated, it's the .pdf contains two portions: portion PDF sous-échantillonnées but also a part of Photoshop native.

This means placing the file in Illustrator, you get the part PDF (300 dpi). Opening it in Photoshop, you get the part of Photoshop (600 dpi). This is a normal behavior.

You can test yourself. Simply create a new 600 dpi Photoshop file and save to .pdf:

1 with downsampling turned on, as well as preserve Photoshop editable option enabled

    2. with downsampling is turned off, more (or without) option preserve editable powered Photoshop

    Then compare the results.

  • Tecra M5-106: display with a resolution of 1024 * 768 is not clear

    I buy Toshiba Tecra M5-106, it's 14.1 "screen.

A see this before, or have the solution for this?

This resolution is very much appreciated.
    Ragards,

    Hello

Large display of chain (as every time ;)). I found onfo Tecra M5 comes with three different screens:
    14.1 "(1024 x 768) TFT color display"
    Color TFT SPWG of 14.1 "(1024 x 768) screen"
    14.1 "(1400 x 1050) TFT color display"

I guess your Tecra has one last and I can imagine that the symbols are too small. If you reduce the resolution of the screen that it is normal that this image will be uncertain. The same thing happen on my Tecra.

As electrochan writes, you can use the display properties and set the great symbols. When you use IE, you can also set option of text size at the level of the largest.

With other words: everything is OK and there is no reason to panic.

    Good bye

    Maybe it helps.

I can t say too much on the matte screen. Of course, if the Fl inverter is dead the display appears dull but you issue sounds a little different. The problem doesn't persist all time. That's why I think that it s not a frequency inverter. Usually, the Toshiba power saver is responsible for the brightness of the screen. You should check the settings of the single power supply modes. Maybe you switched between different modes of energy and the brightness of the screen has also been changed.
