Tecra M5-106: display with a resolution of 1024 * 768 is not clear

I buy Toshiba Tecra M5-106, it's 14.1 "screen.
When I put the screen resolution of 1024 * 768, every thing is unclear... also the fonts is not good. Could be the sharpness or other?

A see this before, or have the solution for this?

This resolution is very much appreciated.
Ragards,

Hello

Large display of chain (as every time ;)). I found onfo Tecra M5 comes with three different screens:
14.1 "(1024 x 768) TFT color display"
Color TFT SPWG of 14.1 "(1024 x 768) screen"
14.1 "(1400 x 1050) TFT color display"

I guess your Tecra has one last and I can imagine that the symbols are too small. If you reduce the resolution of the screen that it is normal that this image will be uncertain. The same thing happen on my Tecra.

As electrochan writes, you can use the display properties and set the great symbols. When you use IE, you can also set option of text size at the level of the largest.

With other words: everything is OK and there is no reason to panic.

Good bye

  • Tecra S10: undefined screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800

    Hi all,

I have a strange problem with the resolution of my Tecra S10.

    My system:

    * Windows Vista, later lowered to Windows XP SP3 with the last update
    * Latest Toshiba nvidia drivers

My default resolution is 1680 x 1050 initially and the display is sharp and perfect proportional to the screen (15.4 ", 16Million color), even if the icons are quite small.

I changed my resolution of 1280 x 800 using the steps described in the user manual. But the screen is fuzzy and ill-defined.
According to the manual of Toshiba (Tecra S10 Satellite Pro S300) my NVidia video card supports the resolution of 1280 x 800 WXGA mode.

How can I put mode WXGA?

I appreciate all suggestions that solves the problem.

    Best regards
    Biagio

    Hello

To be honest you write on this is certainly not a problem but something usual for views. The display will be sharp and perfect when you set the view to the native resolution only.
If you choose some other low or high resolution the illustrious office will be either too big (does not fit in the display) or will be blurred.

The same situation is on my Tecra M1. Test it on all laptops, and the situation will be the same. I'm now working on Satellite P200 with 17 inch screen. For this display's native resolution is 1440 x 900.
When I reduce the resolution the office is always fuzzy and ill-defined.

Nothing happens still... Maybe it's the way to Microsoft to force them to buy Surface or any other portable 8.1 Windows, Windows users.

You increase your higher resolution.  If the computer is unable to use a higher resolution, then this computer is not able to run applications.

To change your resolution, right click on your desktop and choose 'Résolution' from the menu.

  • Resolution 1280 X 768 is not supported on my Satellite M105-S1003

I have laptop Toshiba Satellite M105-S1003.

According to its description on the official website of Toshiba its native resolution is 1280 X 800
But this is not an acceptable resolution and practical.
Starting Panel breaks down and I can't use it properly.
I think the resolution is 1280 X 768, but the resolution does not include in the properties of the monitor.

I install the latest version of the drivers for the video card from the Intel site
How do I configure resolution 1280 X 768 or how I can push the 1280 X 800 resolution works correctly

    Thank you

    Hello

Sorry, but you are confusing me. Native resolution for this monitor is 1280 X 800, and it is not acceptable for you.
I m wondering why you bought this laptop.

I really don't understand how you fall on 1280 X 768. The fact is that the screen displays a resolution just supported.
Maybe we can try to find the explanation if you explain what you mean by: how I can push the 1280 X 800 resolution working correctly?

    What you mean under properly?

  • Re: NB305 - increase in screen resolution from 1024 x 600 to 1024 x 768?

Is it possible to increase the screen resolution to 1024 x 768 (NB305 - 106 Windows 7 starter OS)? I'm hoping to travel with this excellent netbook and make the baseline review and edit video Panasonic AVCHD camcorder while away. Unfortunately the Panasonic software will not work with a resolution of 1024 x 600. I understand that the images will not be 'preview' of quality, but that will be enough for travel.

If not, can anyone recommend software / tips to help me do this?

As a newbie, I would appreciate any advice on this.
    See you soon
    John

    Hey,.

Unfortunately the resolution screen can t be changed. You know that screen resolution 1024 x 768 1024 x 600 a ratio 16:9 and 4:3 report.

As you can see, this doesn t work.

But maybe you can change you report of the screen in the software of Panasonic to emulate a 4:3 screen.

  • Tecra 730XCDT size display - possible to repair problem?

In 1024 × 768, the screen is full, but change to 800 × 600 and 640 × 480, the visible screen shrinks a bit and drastically in that order. Is it possible to get a screen resolution less than completely fill the display area?
I already have the BIOS to stretch the text, but there is no parameter to stretch the graphics.

If anyone has had this work, they can send me the name of the driver file, and I'll hopefully find somewhere to install it?

Sorry mate but could you please start with some details by providing more information about your model Tecra and preinstalled Windows system?

The XCDT series seems to be old and I mean very, very old post so not quite sure if the community would be able to help you, however, please the information required above.

  • Tecra A2: Automatic change of the resolution of the screen

I use a Tecra A2 with an external 17 '' TFT Phillips, connected via the Toshiba docking station.

TFT works best with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 - 1024 x 768 only supports the computer screen. I spent a lot of time, try to configure the integrated Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller to automatically select the external screen when connected, otherwise use the screen of the laptop. I can get both use the same resolution (1024 x 768), but makes the screen external look terrible!

This feature was present in my Sat Pro 6000 - but now that I have moved upward at a Tecra, I seem to have lost it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

AFAIK the Tecra A2 takes care of max 1024 x 768 resolutions and it s not possible to increase it. Well, you said that your screen looks terrible with 1024 px external.
I guess that the display looks like fuzzy. It of normal because the standard resolution for this monitor is 1280 x 1024.
Well, unfortunately you have to use this resolution if you want to have a clear display resolution.

  • rMbp mid-2014, external display with the quality of the retina

    Hello!

I buy a Dell 24 "external display to connect to my rMBP with QHD (2 560 x 1 440) resolution.

    http://www1.euro.Dell.com/content/products/ProductDetails.aspx/Dell-u2515h-monit or? c = en & l = en & s = dhs & cs = frdhs1

I have connected the screen to my mbp with the mini display / port cable supplied with the display screen. It works well, but I don't have quality of retina at all (the images seems good but the text is terrible)

The text have a bad record as a retina screen, and it makes a big difference when I spend my retina display to the external display which is not comfortable at all.

I though that this kind of screen was OK to view the retina... but I was wrong. I try to connect with minidisplay / display and HDMI! HDMI made was worse than minidisplay. The res in the system report show was good 2 560 x 1 440. I even try the hack to force with the patch, but always bad RGB render text...

More important, I want to, it's having the same record as retina on the text and images. What external display can be good for this?

    My budget is 450-€500

    Thank you

The size in pixels of the screen is not mean much: a small display to 2560 x 1440 pixels seems much sharper than a widescreen 2560 x 1440 pixels.

Your retina Macbook has something like 220 dpi (DPI in English), the Dell screen only 117. If you want the same sharpness, you will need to choose a display with 220 dpi. But then, everything on the screen will look much smaller. Here is a tool that allows you to get the idea: http://dpi.lv/

  • How to use the resolution to 1280 * 768 on external TV with Equium A200-15i

    I have my laptop Equium A200-15i hooked to my Bravia HDTV which accepts entries to 800 * 600, 1024 * 768 and 1280 * 768.
But my laptop will be released only in 800 * 600, 1024 * 768 and 1280 * 600 and I want to use the full screen on my TV.

I read a few other posts on this subject and I think that the problem lies in the BIOS, and I've not being updated since I got it in September, but I was wondering too since I'm Dual-booting Vista and XP pro, there will be problems with the BIOS I download?

There seems to be two more different for Vista and XP, who apparently get along out of each other.

Finally, update the BIOS problem will be solved my monitor extended?
And updated the BIOS using the BIOS XP Download break my laptop/vista partition?

Should I just not bother with the Dual-boot and go Vista/XP only?

    Thanks in advance

The BIOS is not the problem!

The fact is that your display driver doesn't support the resolution of 1280 * 768, and so you can't choose it.

    Once again;
    > Finally, update the BIOS fix my extended monitor?
No, as I said above, you can't choose your preferred resolution because it s not included in the graphics driver.

    > And updated the BIOS using the BIOS XP Download break my laptop/vista partition?
No, but if Vista is installed on the laptop then I advise you to use the version of vista BIOS.

    > Should I just not bother with the Dual-boot and go Vista/XP only?
Dual-boot is recommended according to me ;)
I have dual boot on my second notebook too. Dual boot has many advantages...
As you know from the beginning of the applications don't run correctly with Vista and if you have installed XP then you can run it without big problem ;)

    Welcome them

  • Tecra 9000 - no display on the LCD screen when you turn on

I recently got a Tecra 9000 for cheap on eBay. I am experienced with the construction and repair of computers, but not so with laptops.

The problem with this laptop, it's that do not display on the LCD screen when you turn on. It was just black, no backlight, nothing. I took the laptop all share, found no obvious problem. I had to turn it on and the screen lights up a few times trying to figure out the problem. Would it be a bad connection? Or something else?

After getting it to start work, I'll try to start to put it back together and it stopped working again. I haven't not been able to reduce it to know if it's a bad connection or a card problem.

Someone at - it suggestions? This is a problem for others here?

As you describe the issue, I think it is somehow a bad connection or a damaged cable, because it does not work once you have disassembled the screen.
Maybe you need to check all the cables, leading motherboard to the LCD and take a close look, maybe for a few scratches or strong curvature.

All the games don t fit the full screen and there is always a black area on the right and left.

I hope someone can help me find a solution
    Thanks in advance

    Hello

I put t know what games you want to play, but generally speaking, it of also depending on the game you can use screen resolutions. For example if your game supports only 2 screen resolutions, you can only use these resolutions.

So all you can do is update the driver DirectX and display. Then, look for an update (patch) for the game.

    Good luck! :)
