Hey people. Im trying to embed a SWF file into a page XHTML using Dreamweaver CS4. In the end it works perfectly in the latest Firefox and Google Chrome browsers but I am asked to 'allow the activeX control' in IE8. I tried the latest version of SWFObject and UFO to embed the file but nothing to do. I also tried to rewrite the code in a .js file and used the method document.write to write code when loading, but always get invited in IE8. IE8 also does not recognize references to link anchored to the page in other pages too:-s. I know it MUST be a solution to this problem because if I load other sites in IE8 with vast amounts of content flash (Youtube) im not prompted at all what to be. I know im doing the UFO, SWFObject Embed dynamic methods and document.write properly because they work in Firefox and Chrome. Does anyone have a solution to this dilemma until I go string me rafters with piano wire?

  • Invite you to download IE8

IE8 came installed on my computer Hp (Windows Vista Home Premium). However, since several days I get popup guests to download IE8 I already installed on my computer. How can I stop these guests to enter? These guests come once a day at the same time. They are boring and I know that there must be a way to stop the popup prompts you to download IE8. Either way, I started getting this after trying to get help from an HP technician I called on the phone for another problem. He had me visit the site to download IE8 and when I asked him why he had me go to this site, as I already have IE8 on my computer that IE8 was on the computer when I bought it at the end of May this year, he had me click off the site.  I could solve my problem of another myself because it was impossible to get a remote assistance connection and told me to call back in about 40 minutes. Meanwhile, I found how to solve my problem.  I can't understand it.

I thought I should update all stakeholders as to what has happened since my last post. Well the pop-up in the IE8 has returned and it was because the day where I couldn't see what I was shut down for several hours and put it back on a few hours later in the evening. I had also clicked "Ask again Me later" the last time I saw pop up because I do not remember if I had never done that. It was not the cure so she appeared the next day and, as I thought, he returned after so many hours of the computer being on. But he is now gone and disappeared for several days, I am sure that the problem is solved. My sister went on the Microsoft forum, and someone who is new to this forum (not a tech) asked him if pop-up resembled one that was photographed on a web link, it gave him. After looking at the photo on the site, and then view the window pop up on my computer the next time that he came, it was just the pop-up that I had been doing. I didn't have to follow the instructions provided with this photo I just clicked 'Next' again even if a rep HP tech and tech rep Microsoft had said not to do. However, I realized it was my mistake that my sister and I had thought that the words meant that it was a download. It's pop up IE8 Setup that you get when you first set up your new computer with IE8. You click quick install or customize the installation program. Then, there is a button 'Finish' that I clicked with pleasure. I myself remember vaguely that when my computer was first installed for me by a parent and I told him just set it to Express. If anyone is interested in what the pop-up looked like, I will include the web link below. Besides the next day, I received a phone call from a supervisor Tech of Microsoft, which wanted to try to solve my problem, and I told him the above information. I asked him why I got the pop up more than two months after I set up my computer. He said believe that some receive these once some Microsoft updates are installed. I told him I think that maybe Microsoft should have some sort of warning about it on their Web site. Incidentally after Googling my problem earlier to see that if there is no response, I read where others have had this same problem, and they also thought it meant a download IE8. So I'm not the only person who had misinterpreted what the pop-up. I must say I don't feel so bad about Microsoft more and I want to thank all of you who have tried to help. Also the person who helped me to solve my problem, someone new to Microsoft Help Forum was again on this forum and was not a Microsoft technology. It goes to show that all these forums are often your best source of help. Now, I'll say it once more: HALLELUJAH! I'm FREE at LAST, FREE at LAST, FREE at LAST of this annoying popup. Thank you all and CONGRATULATIONS to all those who have responded to my message!

Furthermore, if someone gets this pop up, I suggest they do exactly what I did and not following directions on the webpage above - it is not necessary. I think that a company that had a lot of computers get this pop-up wondered how they could get rid of the pop up that their employees did not know what to do on the pop - up. I would say they tell their employees to do exactly what I did--even if it comes back months later.

    Hi scoutxlt,

I looked at this post and it seems that pretty well all you problems have been solved. Please correct me if I missed something, there are quite a few comments.

In this spirit, I will address the last post.

    1. This is a Community Forum. I'm sorry that you have only had the opportunity to deal with the moderators of Microsoft instead of some very talented people who frequent this forum and help others with questions.

    2. Windows Mail is the replacement for Outlook Express, so it works the same way. On the flip side, it also has some of the same restrictions under Outlook Express. Live Mail is a little more and, of course, the flagship that outlook does, well, darn near everything.

    3. Finally, to get your operational Outlook please go to the forum of the Office. They are the experts in this area. Here is the link.

  • -64-bit Win7 IE8/IE9 SSL VPN How - to -.

You must use 64-bit IE. Don't forget that THE 32-bit is the default on 64 bit Win7.

    Below a screenshot of Win7 Pro 64 bit IE 9 is connected to a UTM25 on 1.3.8-16. I checked the same PC connects to the 1.3.7-0, 1.3.9-0, 1.3.8 - 9 and 1.0.29-4.

It goes the same for IE8.

You must make sure that the settings are correct and the redistributable C++ 2005/2008 are installed, and then restart your computer.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en...aspx?ID=18471

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=16771

Run Windows Update to ensure that you have all the updates for both redistributable packages installed.

Add the site to the Trusted Sites, define any Active-X to invite or authorize; or set the security to default then low and apply. Close Internet Explorer Options.

Empty the temporary Internet files and test them.

1.3.15 - 1 and especially can solve this problem.

By Mr Fixit, he was allowed to install the controls.

    I have not checked myself.

I don't have any problems with it before this version while I am not a good candidate to check.

I will update when I hear more about it.

  • browsers (IE8, Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera) 32-bit and Vista 64-bit

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv2842se. I've had a little more than a year. IE 7 was originally installed with a version 32-bit and 64-bit. Not long after that I got it, the 32-bit version stops working. More specifically, as soon as I open the program it would be closed and completely unusable. I couldn't understand the question, so I installed Mozilla Firefox 32 bit and just used that. When the update of IE 8 came out, I downloaded and still had the same problem, so I continued to use Firefox.

With the help of Mozilla has worked for me until about two weeks ago, when Mozilla started to become more and more reliable and now completely unusable. Assuming that it was a specific problem of Mozilla, I downloaded the 32-bit versions of Chrome and Opera and finished with all versions of four 32-bit navigation programs are the same.

I realize that I can simply use the 64 bit version of IE8, as I did since I have no choice. However, there is a big problem with this. IE8 does not support Adobe Flash Player, which is required to run virtually all Web sites - including on the main site I use for my college classes. As the main reason that I bought this computer was for College, my computer as a whole is pretty useless to me without a functional browser that supports Adobe Flash Player.

By the statement of HP, I tried to disable all add-ons, reset all internet settings and uninstall then reinstall Adobe Flash Player. I even on my own I've tried a system restore and scanned for viruses, spyware and software malware. Nothing has worked.

Please, please, please if there is absolutely everything I can do to restore my browsers 32 bit in a usable state, please help me. I really do not have the money to buy a new computer, and 64-bit operating systems are almost now - standard, so there is no saying that if I bought a new computer for the same thing does not happen everywhere.

Thanks for any help you can provide! It is much appreciated!

    Hi guys,.

Paul - try to uninstall IE8 and run a startup repair.  If the Startup Repair cannot take care of the problem, try to do a repair on the System Installation.

    1 uninstall Adobe Flash Player:

    STARTUP REPAIR

If you have a Windows Vista installation disc, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the installation disc. If you do not restart your computer from the disk, the option to repair your computer will not appear.

If you have a Windows Vista installation disc:

    1. Insert the installation disc.

    2. restart your computer.

Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.

    3. If you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.

Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.

    4. choose your language settings, and then click Next.

    5. click on repair your computer.

    6. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.

    7. in the System Recovery Options menu, click Startup Repair. Startup Repair can invite you to make choices as it tries to solve the problem, and if necessary, it may restart your computer, because it makes the repairs.

    REPAIR INSTALLATION

You will need all your media software, Windows Vista disk and backup of your data to perform either installation.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/default.aspx/KB/918884

HOW TO PERFORM A REPAIR OR UPGRADE INSTALLATION INPLACE

If you have the Windows Vista DVD, you can try an Inplace (repair) upgrade on Vista - this will not work if all you have is a DVD of Windows recovery.

If you do not have the Windows Vista DVD and have only the recovery media, you know someone who has the exact same Version of Vista like you who has the Vista DVD?  If so, borrow their DVD but do "not" to use their product key, use your if requested a product key.  If you don't have or can't get a Vista DVD, the following steps will not work with the recovery media and you may be forced to do a clean install.

    Repair facility:

You can reinstall your copy of Vista while keeping your files, settings and programs by performing a repair install or an upgrade on the spot with the following steps: (Note: this does not always solve all the problems, especially if the corruption was caused by a 3rd party program or service, you may need to do a clean install) If this is not successful)

    <><><><><><><><><><><><>

Please make sure that you back up all the important data before you continue. Please see: methods for backing up your files.

Always make sure that you have the means to reinstall your programs, or by an installation disc or access to the installation files.

    <><><><><><><><><><><><>

    1. Insert the Windows installation disc in your computer's DVD or CD drive. You must start Windows installation while running your existing version of Windows.

    2. on the page to install Windows, click install now.

    3. on the Get updated important for installation page, we recommend getting the latest updates to help ensure a successful installation and to help protect your computer against security threats. You will need an Internet connection to get the installation updates.

    4. on the Type your product key for activation page, we strongly recommend that you type your 25-character product key in order to avoid problems during activation.

    5. on the, please read the license terms page, if you agree to the terms of the license, click on I accept the terms of the license.

    6. on the installation type you want? page, click upgrade to begin the upgrade. You can see a compatibility report.

    7 follow the instructions.

Note: If your installation disc doesn't include SP1, and you are updated to him, then you will need to uninstall it before you perform an upgrade installation. Start-> Control Panel-> programs-> see installed updates, select Service Pack for Microsoft Windows, and then click on uninstall.

Note: The following parameters will be reset by default:

    Its computer system

    Device drivers

    Visual effects

    Windows Mail

    Windows services

If you notice missing files after the upgrade, look in the following folders:

    C:\Windows.old

    C:\$INPLACE.~TR

    C:\$WINDOWS.~Q

These files can be eliminated with disk cleanup as "Files ignored by Windows upgrade".

  • Problem of weft in the workspace with IE8/XP/Reader 9.4

When a user opens a form a ' to do' in the workspace, the form opens in a setting outside of and superimposed on the normal workspace interface.  This hides the action buttons of the user, which stops the process to this user (because they cannot perform any actions).  The 'save' button is partially visible and can be clicked, as can the "Task Details" tab.

Any suggestions for how to solve this problem of framing?  Of course, the user can access the form from a different computer, but if this problem is related to the configuration of the software, I would prefer to resolve the issue in this way, given that many users in our environment have this configuration.

    Thank you

    Toby

I can't reproduce the problem on my IE8/XP/Reader 9.4 platform.  After the update to Reader 9.4, I had to re-enable the drive Internet preference to allow the pdf display in the browser.  You can check that the definition in your preferences of player but I don't think it's your problem.  When it was turned off that I was invited to intall drive, he tried not to open the pdf of the workspace outside the workspace.

What is the browser zoom setting?  According to me, is there a problem if the zoom level on IE 8 is greater than 100%.  If it's higher, try to set it to 100%, close your browser and then try to open the task from the workspace again.

    Hope that helps.

Invite others to an event. You can invite people to an event, even if you're not the one who, on demand with Exchange and some other servers. Press an event, press on modify, then on the guests. Type the names, or tap to select the people to contact. If you don't want to be notified when someone refuses a meeting, go to settings > calendar, then disable view guest declines.

Two-factor authentication Gets the message that a device tries to access your Apple ID account and sends you a message.

If you are far away where the device attempts to access your account, you can check that your location service is on.

If this is the case, you can change your password, because it looks as if someone has this location is trying to access your Apple ID account

  • Calendar invites

Hi, I share a calendar on my iPhone, the iPad and the macbook.  However, I seem to have problems with my iPhone when I send a calendar invitation.  For some reason, I can't go back in and change it.  So if I need to update and only have my iPhone on me I have to delete and then send a new invitation to calendar.     Yet, I can change it on my macbook.

    Why is this?

    Any help appreciated

    Greetings cb200732,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I understand that you share a calendar on your devices, and you cannot edit an invitation of calendar on your iPhone. You can change the invitation of calendar on your MacBook. So, the question seems to be isolated to just the iPhone. Certainly, I know how it is important to ensure that you can use your calendar without any problems during the use of any shared device. I'm happy to help you find the best resolution for this problem.

First, close all applications on your iPhone, including the calendar app. Article force a nearby application on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch will help you, in particular, this section:

    Force close an app

When you double-click the Home button, your recently used applications are displayed. Applications are not open, but they are on standby to help you navigate and multitask. You shouldn't force an app to close only when it does not.

Here's how to force an application to close.

    Discover your open apps

Double-click on the button Home to show your last used apps.

Search for the app to close

Drag to the right or to the left to find the application you want to close.

    Slide up to close

Swipe up on the preview of the application to close the application.

Once you have close all applications, please use the following article and give your iPhone a fresh reboot:

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

After you close all applications and restart, see if you get the same result when you change a calendar invitation on your iPhone.

    Best regards.

  • How can I delete, accept or decline invitations from calendar without sending a response?

I have a bunch of old Agenda of invitations on my phone calendar. Apparently the calendar application can communicate with Outlook well enough to load the invitations, but not well enough to load the answers I do via Outlook. I don't want to send two copies accept or refuse emails to anyone who has ever invited me to a meeting, but also, I don't want to watch a lot of red on the application of all the time, and see an Inbox full of mess.

How can I remove these invitations without sending responses? I don't want to remove my calendar events, as I like to have everything in one place and use the Outlook calendar as little as possible.

    Thank you.

I think you are saying two things that are almost contradictory here:

    • (Implicit in the fact that you referenced "big red number" and "all those who invited me to a meeting): you save all your events years ago.  For example, perhaps you have been invited to a meeting (the date chosen at random) November 5, 2011 at 10:30 you responded to.  But «I don't want to remove my calendar events...» »
    • "I have... to use the Outlook calendar as little as possible."

Why the world you would hesitate to delete your (potentially many) events for weeks, months, years?
