Calendar invites

Hi, I share a calendar on my iPhone, the iPad and the macbook.  However, I seem to have problems with my iPhone when I send a calendar invitation.  For some reason, I can't go back in and change it.  So if I need to update and only have my iPhone on me I have to delete and then send a new invitation to calendar.     Yet, I can change it on my macbook.

Why is this?

Any help appreciated

Greetings cb200732,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I understand that you share a calendar on your devices, and you cannot edit an invitation of calendar on your iPhone. You can change the invitation of calendar on your MacBook. So, the question seems to be isolated to just the iPhone. Certainly, I know how it is important to ensure that you can use your calendar without any problems during the use of any shared device. I'm happy to help you find the best resolution for this problem.

First, close all applications on your iPhone, including the calendar app. Article force a nearby application on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch will help you, in particular, this section:

Force close an app

When you double-click the Home button, your recently used applications are displayed. Applications are not open, but they are on standby to help you navigate and multitask. You shouldn't force an app to close only when it does not.

Here's how to force an application to close.

Discover your open apps

Double-click on the button Home to show your last used apps.

Search for the app to close

Drag to the right or to the left to find the application you want to close.

Slide up to close

Swipe up on the preview of the application to close the application.

Once you have close all applications, please use the following article and give your iPhone a fresh reboot:

Restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

After you close all applications and restart, see if you get the same result when you change a calendar invitation on your iPhone.

Best regards.

    Hi there Anlee9!

It looks like invitations to other events is not something you want to receive on your iPhone on iOS 9.3.3 5s. I don't like to be interrupted myself, so I have disabled this feature and I'll be happy to show you how also.

The area you are looking for is actually in the center of Notifications to your iPhone. Tap Settings > Notifications > calendar > Invitations that turns off.

If other participants are using Windows Vista, they will be able to open the file attachment with Windows Calendar and see the appointment details.

  • Notification send Calendar invites when it should not

A friend wrote just for me "I just got 40 notifications of calendar on your part, a lot of dates in the past." The same person also received an invitation to the event calendar a couple of days for an event that my schedule did not show that everyone had been invited to. A few months earlier, another friend told me that she has received invitations to events calendar for someone else. What is happening and how to fix it?

    I have OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

I only intended to correct the version of operating system, this is NOT RESOLVED!

    How you uncheck resolved?

  • Guest can not update calendar invitation

Problem 1: I created an event from one of my calendars iCloud. I send to a guest. He receives the e-mail and accepts (by clicking on the .ics file in the email) and article is placed in its calendar. If I need then for example change the time or place and then send an update, it receives the e-mail, but the update does not appear in its timetable, even if it double-clicks the .ics file in the email. We are sure that this used to work in that the update was notified in the top bar in the calendar window.

It seems that the only way is to click on the big "accept" button that appears on the e-mail, which then opens a page in Safari iCloud, then you download the .ics file and accept it in its calendar. This seems awfully long. We are sure that used to be simpler. Missing something obvious?

Problem 2: the other way around. I sent an invitation. I received the email. It was that the events were automatically put in the default calendar. That no longer seems to be the case and I can't find a preference for it. But even if I double-click the .ics file in the email, nothing happens, I'm not able to receive invites to all of this person.

NB my calendars are all iCloud. Calendars of the other person are all on his Mac. Certainly, it wouldn't make a difference? We have just updated to El Capitan. Both have iMacs with plenty of space and memory.

Any help received with gratitude, thank you.

Just adding to my own question: I just noticed that when someone sends me an invitation and I double-click the .ics in the e-mail, as I said above, it is not in the calendar, or the menu bar waiting for acceptance. However, there is the red blob on the icon in the dock, which suggests that there is something in need of attention. But how do you get?

  • How can I block calendar invitation spam?

All of a sudden this week I started to receive emails from [email protected] asking me if I want to subscribe to the different calendars obviously spam such as:

Calendar 'subscribe to 'Longchamp Discount Event' of the Trusted Apple, find the latest styles and save up to 70% on'? »

It's really annoying. I've looked everywhere trying to figure out how to solve this problem and why he started to arrive, but found nothing. Everyone affected by this or know how to stop?

    Lionettelynn,

These emails are not from Apple. Use identifying fraudulent "phishing" email - Apple support to help you identify and report phishing.

If your ISP offers a blacklist you can blacklist this address. You can also use the Junk mail feature to reduce these emails appear in your Inbox.

  • BlackBerry 10 send Calendar invites to my Z10

On my old Blackberry all I had to do was include my e-mail bell.blackberry.net on a calendar application and I could do in my BB calendar.  Now that e-mail is no longer supported (shame on Bell) but I have not found a way of replacing to do this again - I have two e-mail accounts incoming recorded that all work, but if one of them include in a request for calendar it appears as a calendar entry, but the button I accept doesn't seem not active - at least all the time - what Miss me?

    Hey insidespin,

This function is not available for a POP or IMAP, this feature accounts would need an e-mail account using CALDAV and Activesync.

    Thank you.

  • Sierra out subscriptions to calendars Apple

MacOS (10.12) Sierra seems to have broken the SUBSCRIPTION of the calendar between platforms feature. I cannot subscribe to the calendars from Apple of my wife, nor can she sign up for mine. Furthermore, I do agree is more a calendar from Apple using the Outlook of Microsoft 365 calendar nor can I subscribe to a calendar from Apple to Google Calendar online help. Here are the functions I used frequently week last under OSX El Capitan to update my students in my history class the AP world on the events of the class on multiple platforms. Even when you try to send an invitation to calendar by text or e-mail from an iPhone 7 (iOS 10.0.2) in another iPhone 7 (iOS 10.0.2) the phone cannot subscribe to the calendar invitation. I confirmed this problem with a specialist in the Apple Support. Anyone else having these problems? All solutions?

I'm not having problems with my calendar. Subscribe to a calendar and I also synchronized Exchange calendar.

Test in a new user quickly will tell you if the problem is system-wide or if your user folder that contains the problem.

You can use the guest user or create a new user to test. Make sure you have your Apple ID and Exchange passwords.

    CREATE A NEW USER

Go to system-> Preferences, create a new user in users and groups.

Switch to the new user by logging incoming/outgoing or use the fast user switching.

Sign in with your Apple ID. Only check calendar for this test.

By default only the applications Apple will be in the dock in the new user. Go to Applications to open other apps, that you can test.

    You still see the issue?

If not, then the problem is in your user folder.

  • Receive emails of alerts to calendar, they do not appear in calendar inbox

I used to receive all alerts calendar directly in the calendar, and now I get emails instead. I use airmail for my mail app, but have put in calendars to sync into my accounts for IOS. Everything works fine on my MacBook. All calendar alerts through the calendar application. How can I stop getting emails for calendar events and get the alert in the calendar?

The method used to send and receive calendar invitations depends entirely on the type of calendar used.  In other words, for example, a calendar iCloud would send the alert directly to your calendar, but other calendars (like maybe gmail) would not.

  • Calendar. In my calendar list.

In my calendar list, there are a number just to the right of the calendar name.  That means this number indicate?

    Hello James,.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see that you are looking for information about a number that is displayed to the right of the calendar name. Looks like you're talking to the Notifications button in the toolbar.

The Notifications button shows how you invitations. If you do not have the invitations, it is not available. A few gray circle next to a calendar in the calendar list name shows how event notifications are waiting for this calendar.

You can find more information about calendar invitations and/or notifications in this article:

  • Detect prompted calendar

I have a registered listener to filter outgoing emails.  When I create a new calendar event and the message that it gets generated and sent, trying to detect for support in the listener.  As this is the case, the listener is fired, but it doesn't seem to be a way to detect the message out as a type of "text/calendar".

When I look at the headers, no headers contain something useful (the content of the message type is "text/plain" and the content of the TextBodyPart type is also "text/plain").  I think that what happens is something on the device itself is to listen to the messages and attach the accessory "text/calendar" to the message * after * my interlocutor fires offshore.  Is it possible that everybody knows to detect a guest calendar e-mail message as it is sent?

    TIA

    Mason

It is not a property that you can use to verify this directly.  I recommend looking at the body of the message and test if it starts with Normal 0 false false false fr X-NONE ' when: ', which is how a calendar invitation should appear.

  • BlackBerry Passport email Html appears in the Hub on Blackberry Passport

    Dear Support Forums,

I have recently upgraded to a new phone (BlackBerry passport) and have encountered a problem with my email.

I am not able to display html emails in my inbox on my device. When I saw the same email from my desktop via outlook or webmail it displays very well.
I can view emails html of my other personal e-mail accounts very well on the device, however, it's just my business email which will not display emails correctly on the device. I jumped through all the hoops support with technical support from my mobile provider and technical support of my corporate email provider already and they have determined that the problem is the end of Blackberry.

I would like to know if there is something that can be done to help.
    Thank you

    noelgREALTY.

As temporary (since my last post) I had the account e-mail problem and set up the Activesync for contacts & calendar only (no e-mail) and set up a separate IMAP on the same device for the part by e-mail only. In this configuration, I could get HTML emails as usual, but I lost the functionality to send Calendar invites via ActiveSync.

I did updates BBOS and whenever have tried turning on the email back for ActiveSync see the updates addressed the issue. I had not checked it lately / after the update so I tried today and voila! My ActiveSync email now displays HTML emails as usual in my problem email account. If all is good now.

Yes, create a calendar and even if, in the editing for this entry window > press Menu > invite participants.
