Necessary recovery for my Satellite Pro L20 CD
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L20 with Windows XP.
I made a CD of recovery for him and there is no partition separately to install the system from it.
So now, even though I own a license number, I can reinstall my system. I called the company that has exclusive rights to Toshiba in my country, and they say that they n t have this recovery CD anymore (my knees is around 3 years - so it s not that old right?) and that s their last word on this situation.
Is someone can you please tell me where can I get this recovery CD? I can buy it anywhere?
As far as I know Satellite Pro L20 comes with recovery CD and there is no option for the creation on the new laptop models. This option doesn't exist.
You wrote, it is the oldest model of laptop and I can imagine this company doesn t have for this model of laptop recovery media.
Toshiba recovery media can be ordered under https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx but I'm not sure that you will be able to order it for this older model laptop, but you can check it out.
If you will not be able to order the original Toshiba recovery media, you can install WXP using the facilities of Microsoft CD. All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download at Toshiba supports the page.
One more thing: number on the bottom is for the recovery image and cannot be used with each installation of Windows XP Home edition CD.
If you need assistance with installing WXp let us know.
Anyone know where I can download or buy a recovery for my Satellite M30-106 disc?
My striped child mine up to hell and back and he won t work either :-(
Satellite M30 is old enough laptop model and I don't think that to do this, you can order a Toshiba recovery media.
What you can try is to contact the nearest authorized maintainer and ask for help.
Addresses and phone numbers, you will find under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > download & support > find an ASP.
Otherwise you can use the CD of Microsoft facilities for the installation of Windows XP Home edition. Download page for all drivers & tools Toshiba utilities that you can download from Toshiba. Your laptop is listed in the archives.
It's the first time here. I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite Pro L550 - 1C0
Part No. PSLW9E-01M00EDU, serial No. Z9289857K. I also have the product key.
I need a recovery disc/download to fix my laptop.
I wonder you have some that you can send to me. I need it is very very bad.
Let me know,
Using the recovery disk you can not repair the version of the OS preinstalled. Using the recovery disk, you can reinstall entire OS and give your laptop to factory settings.
All you can do is to order this disc. Please note that this is not for free.
I lost my Satellite PRO L450D-12 x recovery disk.
Have idea how I can get it, or I can order it from anywhere?
I have urgent need.
This link was posted in many discussions here in the forum.

How can I get a copy of the product recovery disk, I hurt put it my other all my programs are gone from my computer?
Everything can be controlled from the ASP in your country.
The Toshiba ASP (authorized service provider) provides can order each taken part supported and compatible to laptop.
So make a call to the guys and order the recovery CD. It shouldn't be very expensive.
Conversely, you can try to install the OS from the original CD of Microsoft Windows. After the installation of the OS, you can download and install all the drivers of Toshiba that is on the page of the Toshiba driver.
How could I get the oem recovery disc for Satellite L750, part no: psk2ya - 09 k 028, given that I can't come back to factory default

Please can you let me know where I can download the utility Power Saver for a Satellite Pro L20?
I tried to install a copy of the software, but don't know if it's for a L20 as it crashes
at the end of the installation, and when I try to open Toshiba Power Saver in the Control Panel, it is said
It is not run, but there is no option in the list of eating patterns.
Thank you very much

Have you checked own page driver Toshiba?
I have a portable satellite Pro L20 for 4 years since 2006.
I must say that the quality of Toshiba is good.
Over the past 4 years I have no problem with this laptop. Recently and finally my front cover of the laptop decompose.
When I am looking for repair service, I find Toshiba after sell service is terrible.
I have to pay fees to order the part for my Satellite Pro L20. It takes more that a week simply to find out if there are some available; If there is no available room that the deposit is not not refundable, even receiving me has suggested seek third party repair center to get my laptop fixed to avoid any risk.
If you may upgrade your lap top in 2 or 3 years, Toshiba is good.
If you want to use this computer more than 3 years and have limited warranty coverage try another provider, because Toshiba might tell you they don't have the parts of your computer.
You can like me have to take the risk of paying the first deposit and never get that money back.
He damage of s to hear this. But I m very happy with my Toshiba laptops and service.
I have two units different strains of A200 and other belongs to the U400 series.
Recently, I ordered a keyboard for one of my babies because one of the buttons does not work as I should because of spilled juice.
I called a Toshiba ASP in my country, one of the ASP didn t have this spare, but I could choose between three FSA different so I called another
Everything went well, and 4 days later, the keyboard arrived... I've applied notebook m and could replace quickly
I paid only for my keyboard and it was ok!
I got m and I had a good experience...
We have several Toshiba laptops in use in our society. I need to restore a (a Satellite Pro L20) to factory settings. However, although I have kept all the recovery CD, most of them have labels which do not mention which model they are intended to be used on. On some of them I wrote the model number on the label by hand, but I did not do that for the L20. I know from experience that if I receive the wrong recovery CD, I have to put dozens of drivers and utilities individually, in order to find the right one would save me a lot of time and stress.
Each recovery CD has a number (for example GMR400626EN1), so it should be possible to identify the good CD of it, but I can't find the info on the Toshiba web site.
Is there a list that corresponds to the reference numbers for the models of laptop recovery CD?
This info is certainly not available on the Toshiba support site. What you can try is to contact the partner of service authorized in your country. They have access to the database of Toshiba and I'm sure they can help you.
If you need addresses and phone numbers please check https://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com support & downloads search for an ASP.
Bye and good luck!
I've been running my L20 Pro Satellite for two years now, quite happy. Unfortunately, in the last 3 months, he began to misbehave. The startup time stretched to 5-10 minutes by that I mean time spent in "black" screen between the initials XP boot logo and the bright blue splash screen Windows. Playing sound/media crackled and stuttered badly through the loudspeaker. So, being reasonable technical, I've read various articles forum tried MSCONFIG tweaks here and there, removed all viruses etc... Nothing helps.
I began to suspect a HARD drive problem. CHKDSK has not shown any errors. I finally resolved to back up my data and attempt a complete recovery. (Virgin!)
Unfortunately, this is going to plan. medium 90% up to the end of the NVA Toshiba Recovery Utility 126.96.36.199 I think, started making subtle beeps and stopped on the 'X:\03596002 '. File of the GHS. The Green HARD-drive activity light has renounced his reassuring twinkling. Nothing.
Any suggestions tips out there? I am currently in the State where he can not start (no NTLDR found).
HDD on SP L20 interface is - Serial ATA Rev. 1. 0a.
For the replacement of Satellite Pro L20 HDD or upgrades, you can use follow hard drives:
With 4200 RPM.
With 5400 RPM
So, you can choose one of these hard disks for upgrade. If you now of 60 GB inside buy 100 GB for replacement.
I lost the disk to the operating system as well as hard drives. Y at - it a link to download?

The Toshiba recovery disc can t be downloaded. If you want a new drive, you must contact an authorized service provider. Maybe they can order a new one for you.
Alternative you take Microsoft Windows disk and install the operating system for this disk. After that, you can download all the drivers and tools on the Toshiba site. It takes a little longer and it s not so uncomfortable.
im running a satellite pro L20 with windows XP, but I don't have the cd that came with the pc, so I can't install the drivers, sum1 please tell me drivers wat I need 4 my card card or sound her wat is in the pc
On the Toshiba recovery image, you will find an option to create a CD of divers and own tools.
Enter the Toshiba Assist on the desktop and go to protect her and difficulty. It of this option for tools & driver CD creation
or you can download the drivers ;)
I wonder if there is a way to identify what recovery CD or DVD came with a particular laptop model?
I have a number of Toshiba laptops and it is that recently that I started to write a note that's CD/DVD with a machine.
GMR400788EN0 goes with Satellite Pro A200 PSAE4E-03U017EN
I'm trying to figure out which CD is going with a Satellite Pro L20, PSL25E-00800CEN
Sorry, but I think that there is no way to identify which CD belongs to what laptop.
If your laptop comes with the recovery disk it should be a CD label or so on it.
Anyway, it shouldn't be a problem, and you should test if it s the right recovery disk.
Or you have so many Toshiba laptops? ;)
