  Donation thank you for your response.  Yesterday, I turned off the laptop and disconnected everything. When I turned it back on, a black screen came up with the message on the computer that is running a check. I let it do its thing, lasted only 1 minute, and when I've logged on to hotmail and has begun to respond to an email, the keyboard worked really well and even faster than before!
