  To be honest I don't understand your provider. Each manufacturer offers different portable model with different model name or model number so that customers can find presentation on the manufacturers web page.

  Different models have same hardware platform, so I don't know how to help you with your question. Ask her to model exact name or model number, so we can find the exact specification for laptop on the toshiba support page.

  Satellite R10 is old enough for laptop and I do not think that you will find the Win7 drivers.
  I'm not 100% sure but I think it's the Canadian cell phone model. I have checked the Toshiba Canada support page and I saw that this laptop is supported for Windows XP Tablet edition only.

  He s strange LAN driver for XP is listed in the form but when I select it nothing appears.

  I guess that these internal information are mentioned in laptop maintenance manuals, but to my knowledge, these manuals are released only to authorized Toshiba service providers.

  Hmm. You should check the single computer series laptop and you should try the drivers only. Maybe some drivers will work on your Tecra because many laptops are equipped with the same features.

  I don t see otherwise as to check the drivers only.
  Also check your chipset that is installed in your laptop and then some drivers for this chip on chip manufacture website.
  For example; If your wireless network card is Intel then you can see the Intel page for the correct driver.

  I have already a few drivers in the download section, but I can't find the driver for the FN keys. They all work but without display of the control bar in the upper part of the screen which I don't mind not at all - but with one exception: the Wifi on / off toggle. And that is why I need the software which I hope it will solve the problem.

  Here are the steps to enable NORTON GHOST 15 bootable CD make a TOSHIBA TECRA R10 image to a shared network folder. I guess that this same procedure also works on many other TOSHIBA models, but it of the model I and could test.

  (A) download the site WEB of Toshiba drivers following for TECRA R10, Windows XP, LAN drivers (Version INMA20W32W9C)
  File: lan-20081015154144. ZIP
  Link: Link: [http://support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-files2/0/lan-20081015154144.ZIP]

  (B) insert a pen drive and create a folder named example * X:\NIC*, where X: is your pen drive letter.

  (C) unzip * lan-20081015154144. ZIP * and a copy of this file on a pen drive only the following files:

  -e1y6032.inf
  -e1y6032.sys
  -e1y6032.cat
  -e1y6032.din
  -NicCo26.dll
  -NicInstQ.dll
  -e1000msg.dll

  (D) not to remove the disk from the pen and insert the CD bootable Norton GHOST 15 on the CD player. If it starts, click option * output *.

  (E) stop your laptop.

  (F) power and on the first moments, press * F12 * display boot source options. Select * CD * icon using the left and right keys and press on * ENTRY *.

  (G) confirm that you want to boot from the CD by pressing any key

  (H) to accept the Symantec License Agreement

  (I) tab left * utilities * and click on entry * load a driver *.

  (J) use the mouse to select * computer * and open your USB (e :))

  (K) navigate to the folder * F:\NIC* and open the file * e1y6032.inf*. You should receive message * the selected driver has been loaded correctly *.

  (L) tab left * network *, click on * start my Networking Services *. You should not receive any error message.

  (M) on the same tab, select * Ping address *. Insert the IP address of your computer and it should ping.

  (N) tab left * House *, click on * Back Up My Computer *, * following * and insert the Norton (e.g. 99-9999-9999-999999) license key.

  (O) to select the disks that you want to backup, then click on * following *.

  (P) click on * Browse Network Neighborhood * select computer and the shared target folder. If necessary, you can create your own folder.
  (NOTE: shared folder must have write permissions.) On my QNAP NAS system, I need add the everyone permission in the target folder.

  (Q) click on * following * and I suggest selecting * check the recovery point after creating * and type a brief description of the State of your system

  (R) click on * following * and * finished *.

  (S) backup starts and ends with the message: * full backup: XX:XX:XX *.

  (T) remove the CD disk and a pen. Click on * output * and confirm that the computer may restart.

  (U) you have now a complete picture of you system, without installing any software. It woks with all versions of Windows including Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

• Tecra R10 - 10J: BIOS update abandoned "this computer is not supported.

  My laptop is a Tecra R10 - 10J PartNumber PTRB1E-00D002FR, 1.40 BIOS version 11/13/2008.

  I recently bought and installed two modules of 4 GB RAM (8 GB). Enter the BIOS setup, I found 8 GB. Windows 7 64 bit also detects the 8 GB, but uses only 3.80! MemTest and diagnosis of CPU - Z are good for all of the 8 GB. I went from RAM modules from one location to another, but nothing has changed. If I replace a module of 4GB by a 2 GB memory, Windows 7 uses 5.80 is going well. Same result as any module of memory of 4 GB or slot I use.

  I suppose that problem comes from the BIOS. The 1.40 version does not support memory mapped IO functionality.

  So I followed the instructions on "http://fr.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/?download_drivers_bios.jsp?" to find the last good package to update BIOS for Tecra R10 - 10J. I downloaded and ran the BIOS310?. exe, but received the error message "this computer is not supported"?

  Can someone tell me how to upgrade my BIOS or did someone has a better idea to activate the full 8 GB of RAM support?

  You must install the VAP (value added package) or if this package is already installed, you must reinstall/upgrade to update it.

  Disable the Antivirus software and disable things of security such as firewalls etc.

  Hope that you're lucky...
