Need for an updated LEVEL of Windows 7 disk

I have a Win Upgrade of the disk, I used two times to refresh my pc. Works well. The last time I did it, I had a few problems with power install Microsoft .net Framework 4.x. try 3 times with the same effect. I need another good disk to upgrade. Where can I get a. I know that I can download an iso from Microsoft and install to burn a disc, but I think that would allow only a cleaning. I can't do it. Lose too many programs that are not backed up. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I don't think that .net framework (not 4) is part of the burden of win7.  It's Windows update.

  • Why my CS6 apps show the need for an update?

For some reason, in my drop down list creative cloud, my Adobe Photoshop CS6 and my Dreamweaver CS6 show that they must be updated.  I went through and got the error "U44M1P7" and found different solutions.  When I arrived at the Solution #2, I went to try to install the updates manually.  Out of curiosity, I made a command-I on the two applications to see what version I already had - and they are the same version as the last update.  So, in simple terms, the creative cloud app shows the need for an update, but according to the 'latest news', the last update is already installed.  Can someone tell me what could be the problem?  Thanks in advance - Scott

    (B) Toshiba FAQ - FAQ ref: TRO0000000b07 shows how to upgrade the bios unfortunately it does not list the satellite Pro A200 - then what is the procedure - thanks in advance.

    Hello!

If you want to update the BIOS, you need version 5.60. Are the other version for Vista and 5,60 only one is for XP and if it s the right one for you.

The BIOS update procedure is quite easy. The update is based on Windows, which means that you can update it on Windows. So to extract all files from zip archive and run the exe file. Then updated your BIOS.
But before update you, close all programs running even your AntiVirus and firewall and connect the AC adapter.

    Good luck!

  • Need for Raid-1 Setup in Windows 7 operating system.

Aims to set up a House on RAID-1, accessible via Internet server in the future, hopefully with a domain name.

The installation program set aside space 100 MB 'reserved' and OS loaded in C:\ with a 698 GB boot volume.
Open disk management. As a single volume (volume0) is displayed. Right clicked and making 'dynamic', and rebooted.
Reopened on disk management, and fault tolerance indicates 'no '.
Tried to do a right click to "Extend Volume", but it has always been grayed out (I AM an administrator).
Repeat this process with the same results.
What Miss me to set RAID 1 fault tolerance?

    Hi FSLoar,

Thanks for posting. If I understand your facility, you have a hardware RAID on your motherboard configuration. With this you will not be able to make another RAID using Windows. Because you did the RAID on a level of Windows don't control hardware and looks like it, it's just a disk. If the fault tolerance that you are looking for is actually already in place.

Because it is a hardware raid and not controlled by Windows software RAID, you will not be able to change all of the portions of the mirror and must perform these actions at the level of the BIOS/hardware. If you want to use Windows to control your RAID array you need to format both drives, break the hardware mirror. This will allow Windows to detect this than 2 hard drives. From there, you can go to disk management, convert dynamic disks, and then create your mirror.

I hope this helps. Shawn - Support Engineer - MCP, MCDST

  • What will be the best time for the update of the window?

Does anyone have a directive on execution of the Update window?

Someone has suggestions on when to do and how to do?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions

After you install installers, it will jump to the top message to reboot XP? or it will restart XP automatically?

Thanks a lot everyone for all the suggestions

Get WU to work for you, by choosing an option that works for you, for example you can be notified only and then you can choose to download and install, and reboot when it's convenient for you: -.

    Windows XP

To activate the automatic updates yourself, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start, click run, type sysdm.cpl, and then press ENTER.
    2. Click the automatic updates tab, and then click to select one of the following options. We recommend that you select the automatic (recommended) automatically download updates that are recommended for my computer and install them .
      • Automatic (recommended) automatically download updates that are recommended for my computer and install them

If you select this option, Windows recognizes when you are online and uses your Internet connection to find updates on the Windows Update Web site or on the Microsoft Update Web site that apply to your computer. Updates are automatically downloaded in the background, and you are not notified or interrupted during this process. An icon appears in the notification area of your taskbar when the updates are downloaded. You can point to the icon to display the status of the download. When the download is complete, you receive another message in the notification area so that you can review the updates are planned for installation.

        • Click to select the day and time for scheduled updates to download and install. You can schedule automatic updates for any time of the day. However, your computer must be on at the scheduled updates to install.
        • You can choose to install the updates as soon as they have finished downloading. To do this, click Download message (or the Update icon), and then click install. If you choose not to install updates when they finish downloading, Windows starts the installation on your set schedule.
      • Download updates for me, but let me choose when to install them

If you select this option, Windows recognizes when you are online and uses your Internet connection to automatically download updates on the Windows Update Web site or the Microsoft Update Web site. An icon appears in the notification area of your taskbar when the updates are downloaded. You can point to the icon to display the status of the download. When the download is complete, you receive another message in the notification area so that you can review the updates are planned for installation.

        • When you want to install the downloaded update, click the message (or the Update icon), and then click install to install the update.
        • If you do not want to install a downloaded update, click Details, and then click to clear the check box next to that update to decline.
      • Notify me but don't automatically download or install

If you select this option, Windows recognizes when you are online and uses your Internet connection to search for downloads from the Windows Update Web site or from the Microsoft Update Web site. An automatic updates icon and message appear in the notification area of your taskbar when new updates are available to download or install.

    • Click the icon or message to view the updates. If you do not want to download a selected update, click to disable the check box next to that update to decline. Click Start Download to download the selected updates. The automatic updates icon remains in the notification area of your taskbar, while updates are downloaded. You can point to the icon to display the status of the download.
    • When the download is complete, you receive another message in the notification area indicating that the updates are ready to install. Click the automatic updates icon or the message, and then click install to install the updates.
  • Click OK.
  • do I need all these updates of 2009 windows stuck my hard drive?

As I said above, should I all these updates Windows since 2009 bogged down my hard drive too much room on this subject.  Only, I have a GBHDD 120 and can't get answers as to how to remove unwanted files, etc.  Someone please help.

    Yes, you do.

Updates will have only the space they need and remove only you will leave vulnerable and you will be prompted to update again anyway.

However, you can use disk cleanup-

  • SSD for the boot, SSD, reformatting of the files needed for a normal startup of Windows 7

I just have to use the SSD Sandisk more for the startup of Windows 7 and MSOffice programs.
I made a mistake of a new copy on Windows 7 top loading.
What I wanted, it was just part of Windows 7 with all current configurations and keep the data on the other hard drive.

So what I did is to clone the old HD (which was almost full) to a larger HD, so I have a full copy, which is bootable.
I took the old HD and removed/uninstalled all data & programs except: all files in Windows, the files MS Ofc, video card, keyboard & mouse records, Internet browsers, contact lists, etc.

My plans were to take stripped this old HD, after defragmentation and clone through for the Sandisk SSD, so it will start quickly.

My first concern is to clean the SSD drive that has the Windows 7 barebones.
    Can I just reformat?

Any other considerations that I missed?

You can re - format the disk and run clone on it, if you don't want to keep of course.

The situation you describe seems feasible for me

    Hello

See if there are updated drivers available. Start http://www.epson.com/ and then work your way to the drivers & support > your model.

However, given the age of the printer, if there are drivers available, they cannot provide all the features that were available in XP updated.

I have a situation similar as some features of the tool for my HP 2575 (levels of ink, for one) who worked under XP do not work on Vista, even with updated drivers.
